      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I originally had Daz and Blender setup so I could export OBJ files into blender with clothing and body parts as seperate meshes. The character you have seperate legs/face/ears/eyes/arms etc and each peice of clothing was seperate. I have switched to blender 2.8 and can&#39;t seem to get the setting correct. Anybody have any idea how to do this?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Today, suddenly, Daz Studio crashed and the computer froze. After eight hours non-stop working, I&#39;ve managed to get the computer to work again (not only in safe mode).</p>

<p>I can start DS and load a scene, but i can&#39;t render. There seems be a similar problem as in the thread &quot;<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/366011/recent-problem-iray-not-using-gpu#latest">Recent problem: Iray not using GPU</a>&quot;.</p>

<p>When I hit the render button the processor runs up to 100%. That&#39;s normal. But then it stays at 100% even when&nbsp;the render process has begun. That&#39;s not normal.<br />
It renders for about 20 seconds and then the computer freezes and I have to shut it down manually.<br />
<br />
I have tried to use the nvidia driver Richard Haseltine suggests in the above mentioned thread. I have also tried the latest drivers and a few others. No difference.<br />
<br />
So either there is something wrong with my graphics card (or its drivers), Daz Studio or something beyond my understanding.<br />
<br />
Help really wanted!<br />

Computer specs are:<br />
Windows7 (64-bit)<br />
Titan X graphics card<br />
64 GB RAM<br />
Intel i7</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Due to poor performance recently on my PC, I had to reset it and reinstall Windows.&nbsp; I knew going in that I&#39;d have some issues with getting Daz set back up, but it&#39;s truly being a pain.&nbsp; Is there a good way to handle this to get everything back to where it was?&nbsp; Should I use the install manager to uninstall everything, and then put them back on?&nbsp; Should I go into my folders and just delete everything with &quot;Daz&quot; in the title and then install fresh?&nbsp; What&#39;s the best way to go about doing this?</p>

<strong>In English - it&#39;s called &quot;Connected Devices Platform User Service&quot; (CDPUserSvc). To kill it, i must go to the windows services manager, and manually stop it there.</strong></p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Daz is a resource hog.&nbsp; We all know that.</p>

<p>When I start DS first thing I do is open task manager and set affinity to release one or two processor cores which actually makes everything much faster.</p>

<p>Problem is a bug in DS allows it to make changes to my settings recapturing those released cores.&nbsp; Sometimes. Sometimes not.</p>

<p>How can I make sure DS leaves me choice of affinity alone?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So am hoping someone can help me here, I been using Room Creator Exteriors and Room Creator 2.0 to build a large house, it was going well until I discovered this black on the outside wall and no idea what could be causing it</p>

<p>Trying to think of the information you need to be able to help me figure it out, sorta hope someone has had same issue at some point.&nbsp;</p>

<ul>
	<li>it appears on every single window piece and I have increased the width of the window via xScale</li>
	<li>I have been through all the surface options for exterior and removed any black colour.</li>
	<li>I am using sun-sky only dome and Environment Intensity is 0.50</li>
	<li>The black on left of the window goes from the edge of the piece right to the window, so it&#39;s not the whole window piece, which is odd.</li>
</ul>

<p>&nbsp;At first, I thought it was kitchen items on the other side of the wall that was causing it, as when I move the piece away from the overall building, it disappears, so&nbsp;maybe something to do with lightning? I hope not, as that be very tricky to resolve I think.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I see references to dForce start to pop up. As I have not heard of this before, despite reading the forums regularly, I have a question or two about it.</p>

<p>I watched a DAZ&nbsp;video on dForce and it looked very similar to normal dynamic clothing (using the Optitex system). Apparently dForce requires clothing to be dForce-compliant. So, is dForce just another name for Optitex based dynamic clothing?</p>

<p>If not, could someone please explain the difference?</p>

<p>I&#39;ve noticed recently my internet does&#39;t work when i&#39;m rendering with Iray, in the viewport nor in the outer Iray actual render.</p>

<p>By that i mean that if I try to open any website in my browser or make any search, nothing returns, and the browser ends up saying it couldn&#39;t load the page.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve updated my Daz Studio version recently, but at the same time updated my nvidia GPU driver.</p>

<p>How can I test if the problem is with daz iray rendering or with the GPU or its driver? I&#39;m almost sure it&#39;s the GPU or driver because it renders fine with 3Delight (it seems it only uses CPU am i right?)</p>

<p>I have a beast of a machine(desktop, 64gb ram, RTX2080TI), which usually means its lightning fast on arnold or redshift in maya, but using Iray inside daz studio..its taking forever to render a simple scene(2 very simple characters, no clothes, no background) and its taking like 30 minutes. I am not sure whats going on, not even if my gpu is being used. Anyone has any ideas on whats going on?</p>

<p>Alternatively, I was trying to export my characters from DAZ using FBX to maya, trying to render them there, but my characters (they have animation) &quot;explode&quot; limbs become &quot;monstrous like&quot; very scary stuff...&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I was flipping through the new conversations here and noticed a referenced to the GPU-Z software. I haven&#39;t been having any issues, but thought I would take a look at things.</p>

<p>My system has dual GeForce GTX 970s. Both were bought at the same time and installed in my desktop since day one.</p>

<p>When I ran GPU-Z I notied that the results weren&#39;t the same on the two cards:<br />
BIOS versions are different,<br />
Memory type is the same, but manufacturer is different...</p>

<p>Is the different memory is a surprise. Which might be why the BIOS is different. Or is that an incorrect assumption?</p>

<p>I have a problem with merge option.</p>

<p>I had a custom morphed G8 character (Version 1) saved as a scene. Then I updated this character (changed some morphs, pose etc.) and saved it again (Version 2). After that, I opened another scene and tried to merge that character into it. When I did it Daz for some reason loaded into my new scene&nbsp; Version 1 of character (Which technically does not exist, because I overwrote it with Version 2). I tried to save my character as a new file but it didn&#39;t work it still load Version 1 of character when merging.&nbsp; If I just open it or merge it into empty scene everything works fine all my morphs and poses are in place.<br />
Also, Daz resets positions of pros to 0,0,0 when merging.</p>

<p>I am strugling with GoZ - Bridge between DAZ and zBrush. After updating DAZ to 4.12 the &#39;Send to zBrush&#39; menu item disappeared.</p>

<p>What I did so far (After searching the net):</p>

<p>- Emptied zBrush cahce (Preferences/GoZ)</p>

<p>- Re-set the paths in zBrush</p>

<p>- Re-installed goz plugin in DAZ</p>

<p>- Re-installed DAZ</p>

<p>- Re-installed zBrush and Goz in zBrush</p>

<p>Nothing worked :(</p>

<p>I don&#39;t see &#39;Send to zBrush&#39; even under Window/Workspace/Customize/Bridges.</p>

<p>Do you have any idea what the problem could be?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a character I set up and rendered in Sun-Sky no problem (see attachments);</p>

<p>I saved and went&nbsp;back in later to add a shield (from OBJ), and then when I tried to render with the exact same settings... nothing. Black.</p>

<p>The kicker is... even if I DELETE the shield, it still renders black! Even though it is now back to where the original successful render occurred</p>

<p>But... if I try to render with Dome or Dome+Scene, it works just fine (but does not provide the lighting I need for my project)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So, I&#39;m using a partial A4 (50%) with a base V4 character, currently loaded with morphs++ etc. -- a basic rig I use all the time in Poser Pro 14.</p>

<p>The body and head shapes work fine, and even look the way I&#39;d like.</p>

<p>But there&#39;s something wrong with Aiko 4&#39;s eyes.&nbsp; It&#39;s like they didn&#39;t adjust to the new shape along with the rest of her head or something -- so they&#39;re too close together (or too small?) and she looks cross-eyed.</p>

<p>I _thought_ there was some kind of simple morph fix for this, but I can&#39;t find it anywhere in with the A4 stuff, nor has searching Poser turned it up.</p>

<p>How can I fix this?&nbsp; Should the eyes be scaled or moved somehow?</p>

<p>Or is that easy &quot;fix eyes&quot; dial somewhere that I can&#39;t find it?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m having a devil of a time getting S4 to work properly and I&#39;d love some help. I think I got her working yesterday, but today I can&#39;t figure out how I did it. Here&#39;s my (failed) workflow:</p>

<p>Open Poser 9 -&gt; open &quot;Figures&quot; menu -&gt; double-click &quot;Stephanie 4&quot; to load figure into the scene. The figure (&quot;Victoria 4&quot;) loads with her feet sticking through the ground plane. I go to the Victoria 4 -&gt; Parameters menu and try the morph dials under &quot;Other.&quot; I move the dials back and forth, including seemingly appropriate ones like &quot;Stephanie (Body)&quot;, but none of them have any effect. I think it&#39;s safe to say that this doesn&#39;t work.</p>

<p>Seeing morph injections in the pose menu... Load Victoria 4 -&gt; open Poses menu -&gt; INJ Stephanie 4. No new morphs appear. So this also doesn&#39;t work, apparently.</p>

<p>What do I do? V4 and Morphs++ seem to work fine, but Stephanie (which apparently requires direct use of V4) does not.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a standalone character who is not any Genesis. Any poses in the collection works for him but always wrong as his default pose doesn&#39;t suit any existing. Then I had a crazy&nbsp;idea.</p>

<p>Is there a way to make Daz think this is not a character but a full body suit? Then I could put him on Genesis 2 and&nbsp;make Genesis itself invisible, then all the poses will work properly. Is this a good idea or I am thinking wrong?</p>
