      <description><![CDATA[<p><span>I am currently having issues with Renderque after updating to Daz 4.12 and was wondering if anyone else was having similar issues. Basically if I render one image &quot;normally&quot; in Daz, no issues. When I run Renderque with same images and X number of additional scenes it will run the render for about a minute and then shut it down with grainy grey or black final render and move on the next doing the same over and over. I&#39;ve rebooted, checked my settings etc. I&#39;m exasperated. Any thoughts?&nbsp; Running WIndows 10</span></p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have many .obj files (with materials).</p>

<p>I can import them into Hexagon, Blender, ZBrush, and other apps without problems.</p>

<p>When I try to import into DS, I can&#39;t. The files are ghosted no matter which format is chosen at the bottom.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>I can go from DS to Hexagon and back to DS, so I thought I could work around the .obj problem by loading the .obj into Hexagon and sending to to DS, but nothing happens when I tell it to go to DS.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Why is DS the only app that doesn&#39;t recognize these files and what do I do to import them?</p>

<p>E.g., say I have G8M with Vladimir 70% and Ryker 50%.&nbsp; Would it be a bad idea to use Vladimir HD and Ryker HD morphs?&nbsp; Or should I only use HD moprh for the highest % figure morph dialled in, in this case it is Vladimir at 70%.</p>

<p>&quot;Be sure to use the Apply Ping Fur option in Ping&#39;s base folder before using the fur materials.&quot;</p>

<p>What does that mean?&nbsp;I looked in the Parameters tab, there is no fur option to turn on.</p>

<p>What is the base folder?? Furthermore, this is Mousie (for Ping), not Ping the Ringtail.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Does anyone know how to do this?</p>

Mine crashes everytime I use it. Now I can&#39;t even add a Genesis 8 female figure onto the scene.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I don&#39;t want to uninstall and reinstall the whole program again so has anybody had this problem?</p>

(this appears literally only in the resnder every time. the model itself doesent seem to be having any problems)&nbsp;I dont have the technical know how to describe it to search in google and im not sure what might be causing this problem...<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So I did a fresh install of 4.12 on my D drive,then copied my library onto the same while deleting the old ones on C drive.</p>

<p>DS loads fine,however the content in IM needs to be reinstalled for some reason,I&#39;m sure my paths are correct but am</p>

<p>afraid if I reinstall it might go&nbsp;on C.</p>

<p>Below is what I&#39;m seeing on CDM and IM,any advice would be appreciated.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I don&rsquo;t have an Nvidia card (in my Mac) to speed things up, so I am trying to find other ways to speed up working in DAZ (e.g. for complex scenes, I have to convert the view to bounding boxes to be able to zoom in at a decent rate, etc)</p>

<p>So has anyone used an internal SSD to hold your DAZ content/runtime? If so, do you see any speed increase in using DAZ from an SSD over having your content on a hard drive? -- I don&#39;t want to waste the money in getting a 4TB SSD if it won&rsquo;t speed things up.</p>

After this everytime I select the Gen8 male figure in my scene, smart content shows only categories related to &quot;the chimp&quot; . Uninstalling the chimp product has no effect. I think it is a minor problem, but it is really annoying. I hope you could help me.</p>

<p>DS 4.10.123, W10 64 bit</p>

<p>The installed Nvidia RTX 2060 is not showing up in the render window, just CPU. The card is checked in Render Settings/Advanced, so DS knows it&#39;s there. When the render begins, I get the Iray Verbose text for CPU, but not for GPU.</p>

<p>Nvidia driver is 441.66...</p>

<p>Any ideas?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have few products that include gloves, so the whole figure is fundamentally in a bodysuit. I would like to make the gloves and feet parts detachable, so I can import them and show/hide them as I see fit.</p>

<p>Not sure if this is possible in DAZ Studio; I was not able to find a way to do so. I am not looking to export and re-import the mesh back and forth in other appps, I would just like to select polygons in DS and separate them so they keep the rigging and weighting, position and everytihg else, but that allow me to hide or show them; as if they were a different mesh. Some clothing products do that; so I would assume there is an easy way to get that done?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Is it possible to export FBX with more than one UV channel?&nbsp; I had alternative UV for a character in the drop-down but I&#39;d like both UV sets to be available in Maya, etc. so I can make some interesting blend materials.&nbsp; At the moment I&#39;m having to export two complete fbx files, one with UV0 and the other with UV1 and then copy attributes over in Maya.&nbsp; If I can get rid of this step in my FBX pipeline it would be a time saver.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I organize my Content Library with Windows File Manager. I always use DIM to download products. This doesn&#39;t seem to cause noticiable issues with scene creatiosn, rendering , etc. However, examination of the log file shows some &quot;could not find&quot; statements. These are related to reorganized content, not missing content.</p>

<p>I essentially create categories with my file structure. Here are a couple of typical examples:</p>

<p>People/Genesis 8 Female/Characters/Vendor Name/ Character name&nbsp; where vendor name is Daz, BlueJaunte, Jessaii, etc and the character name is what you&nbsp; would expect. Inside the character&#39;s folder is the duf files then Iray/ material dufs. I don&#39;t bother with 3DL materials and I&nbsp;generally do away with subfolders such as Materials/Iray/... since i try to shorten paths for the backup process.</p>

<p>another example is:</p>

<p>People/Genesis 8 Female/Clothing/Casual/product name</p>

<p>People/Genesis 8 Female/Clothing/Fantasy/product name</p>

<p>How might I get studio to recognize the reorganization? When I double click the character duf file icon in the People/Genesis 8 Female/Characters root, Stuio loads the right character.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>may someone can help me: I&rsquo;ve got vram problems wit an 2080ti. 3 gen8 models with hair and clothing, background, HDRi, some object consuming with an 512/768 threashold mor the 11gb vram. That&rsquo;s not normal. For some weeks I render a scene with mirrors and 6xGen8 charas that&rsquo;s uses around 10gb vram. What can be the problem? I reinstalled Daz3D, uses scene optimizer. All without the problem. I render the same scene yesterday with a different poses and there wasn&rsquo;t so big problems. I only render 1 character of the scene nude, around 8gb vram. That&#39;s too much.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m trying to render a simple still image but I&#39;m running into a problem that I cant find the way around. (pictures attached)<br />

I&#39;m trying to do a deform or smooth at the collision of DazDog&#39;s claws and skin, however it seems that this isnt possible.&nbsp; I looked at the skeleton and while it looks like they are rigged as bones, i&#39;m guessing that for collisions they arent... or something else is going on behind the scenes that i dont know about.</p>

<p>So how can I accomplish the indentation of skin for this?&nbsp; I&#39;ve tried using a deformer, I&#39;ve watched a bunch of youtube videos on it, but it seems that they are either A) using an old version where the interface looks different so I cant figure out how to get the deformer tool that&#39;s shapped like a top... or B) they&#39;re explaining it as if you already know how to do it... so they are skipping over a ton of stuff.&nbsp; It seems like the deformer isnt really meant for very small use, every example I&#39;ve seen has been something large.</p>

<p>Am I missing something key here? I wouldnt think it would be this difficult to create a few little dimples in skin... but for the life of me I cannot manage to get it to work.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I finally got a better computer, much more powerful with a graphics card and all. In transferring DS to the new hardware, I&#39;ve lost Visual Menus. The hot keys don&#39;t respond. I did try deleting the hot key assignments in Workspace/Customize/Custom Actions, and then reassigning them, but that had no effect.</p>

<p>Starting from Windows 7, DS 4.10.123, I&#39;m now using Windows 10, same DS version. Redownloaded and installed VisualMenus, all my content is on an outboard drive, and VisualMenus still works as usual on my original machine from the same content drive. I did transfer my AppData custom actions and all to the new machine, and so far everything works correctly, except VisualMenus, ie, I have and can use my custom toolbars, etc, so the issue seems only related to VisualMenus. No response to assigned hotkeys.</p>

<p>I don&#39;t see any need for a serial number or other specific plugin registration info, so I&#39;m at a loss.</p>

<p>Anyone have an idea?</p>
