      <description><![CDATA[<p>I just made a new purchase, and when I was installing the new content, Daz&nbsp;install manager froze. It just stopped all downloads, and just hanged there for 15 minutes or so.&nbsp;For some reason install manager was taking like 60% of CPU while it was doing nothing, so&nbsp;I tried to close it.&nbsp;Of course the program did not want to close, and finally I had to use task manager and end&nbsp;the process. Then I rebooted my computer ( windows 10 ) and started Install Manager again.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>At first it looked like nothing is installed and everything was in the &quot;Ready to download&quot; tab. Install manager processed stuff for about 20-30 minutes, and slowly moved items from &quot;Ready to download&quot; -tab to &quot;Ready to install &quot; -tab, and&nbsp;finally it moved all of my old stuff back to that &quot;Installed&quot; -tab without me doing anything. Now it seems like it finally stopped, but&nbsp;even after all my old stuff is back to &quot;Intalled&quot; tab, it still looks like install manager thinks that there&#39;s lots of items that I need to download again. Problem is, that at a quick glance, most of those items are already in the installed tab....</p>

<p>I already opened Daz Studio, and my old stuff seems to be there and no errors or anything if I open old scenes, so I assume at least most of the stuff is propely installed. Some of those 1003 items in &quot;Ready to download&quot; -tab actually are items that I bought today, and are not installed yet&nbsp;(&nbsp;2 pro bundles and some extra stuff&nbsp;), but how to get rid of those almost 1000 already installed items that Install manager wants to download again?&nbsp;If I download everything there, it looks like almost 150 Gb of content, so that&#39;s a lots of stuff to process for nothing.&nbsp;Is there something I can do in Daz Studio or Install Manager to fix this without downloading everything?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I cannot do anything with this product though I bought it, and FLUIDOS before it.</p>

<p>I probably just don&#39;t know what I&#39;m doing, but I don&#39;t see any mesh for the water in the scene even though I loaded a preset, and when I render it seems like nothing is there. Also, there is only stuff in the materials folder and the water planes folder (though I see no water plane load? I don&#39;t see the blue outline around a water mesh like in the sample videos or pictures) and all the other folders are empty. Why are they there?</p>

<p>I tried watching a video for another product, which shows options under &quot;parameters&quot; but when I sift through them all, there are no options for anything except one piece, and the only option is for particles. :(</p>

<p>Please, can anyone help?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have been working with an older model and learning strand based hair.&nbsp; After reading that others use a hair cap so that strand based hair can be saved ,&nbsp;I thought a geometry shell would work the same.&nbsp; I add the shell and then the hair.&nbsp; I saved the geometry shell using File-Save as-Wearables preset.&nbsp; I made sure to include the materials.&nbsp; However, whenever I try to apply the shell to another bee, DS crashes.&nbsp; Any clues to what I am doing incorrectly?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Just uploaded a two weeks ago to 4.12 Pro. Can&#39;t remember which one I had prior&nbsp;but it was the last build before Dforce. I started getting fireflies in my renders a couple days ago. Never had an issue before. I havn&#39;t changed any of my render setting which weren&#39;t really modified at all except for the size of my render window. I&#39;m using a Gforce 1080 Ti and its on a Windows 10 Intel i7-7700kCPU, 32GB Ram. Here is a recent shot. lots of fireflies around the eyes and the denim shader (which seems really glossy for denim). Its been happening on skin hair and some clothing shaders mostly. I usually use HDRI lighting. No spotlights.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi. I&#39;m really hoping someone can help me. I have apparently fundamentally broken my Genesis 3 Female on a core level.</p>

<p>I created my own character using her as the base. I was trying to save her as a Content Library character, but I somehow overwrote the default G3F. Now, whenever I load the G3F base or any other character, they come in with my character&#39;s dials added to them. Even if I try and work around it by zeroing out a character and starting from there, when I go back to load the file, they always come in with my character added to them.&nbsp;I&nbsp;uninstalled and deleted all the Daz folders I could find (including the ones in AppData) and reinstalled (DS 4.12) but it&#39;s still happening.</p>

<p>Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello all. I&#39;ve tried researching this in the forums, but clearly I&#39;m not using the right keywords or the concept is explained with a term I&#39;m not yet familiar with (I only started using Daz and explored rendering a few weeks ago.)</p>

<p>I&#39;m trying to build a repertoire of G3/G8 figures that I can include in stage magic renders. Meaning, I&#39;d like to be able to use the sawing-in-half, the putting in thirds (zig-zag illusion), and so forth. However, for the life of me, I can&#39;t figure out how to take a regular G8 figure, and have the body separate at the hips for the saw-in-half, while still being the same body. For instance, if I have a fully clothed &#39;assistant&#39;, I&#39;d like the clothes to be correctly showing on form if I use a clear box, or one with the window panels. I followed the online ability to have the head and body morph separately and be addressed independently from each other by RedAnt, but the head is still attached to &#39;a&#39; body, and isn&#39;t quite what I&#39;m after.</p>

<p>Am I asking for too much?</p>

<p>Is this going to be where I need to run two figures in the box, and &#39;hide&#39; half of each?</p>

<p>Any help or a pointer in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am using 4.11, default render settings, and the mouse is on node selection tool. Never had a problem rendering it until yesterday. I had two figures in the same scene, and one of them with the strand hair rendered, but the other was bald. Nothing I could do could get the second one to render. In surface settings both show to display in render.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Today with a different figure I made new strand based hair for them - and same problem. Not showing at all in the render. Please help!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>There are a plethora of daz products that imply crowd scenes.&nbsp; The Now-Crowd billboards offer a limited option in that the pre-rendered characters provide little ability for creative variance, and, are very specific to a very specific environment/scene.</p>

<p>I&#39;m looking to populate scenes with auidences participants (auditoriums, meeting halls, stages, sport arenas etc),&nbsp;&nbsp; The challenge is, of course, the drain on the GPU and rendering times.&nbsp;&nbsp; The conclusion one draws is that these daz environments are not usuable because they cannot accommodate the audiences for which they are designed.</p>

<p>I believe one solution is to populate the audience, but designate many characters as invisible, render, then re-render with different characters being visible/invisible.&nbsp; The separate renders can then be merged using a photo editor like Photoshop.&nbsp;&nbsp; Has anyone done this?&nbsp; Does it reduce the processing resource drain when characters are made invisible?</p>

<p>Laslty, if anyone has a recommendation as to how to create scenes with Daz products that have auditorium seats/bleachers, etc, please advise...otherwise, these products aren&#39;t worth it if the scenes always show an empty auditorium or gymnasium or......</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I screwed some poses up by saving them to the wrong category. Now some of my poses load with the pivot point low beyond&nbsp;the character. It&nbsp;is because I created the poses by moving the character at the hip as you need to with characters that are sitting down. However, I also saved them to my hierachical poses and that was a mistake as they load fine when saved.<br />
So I need to reset the pivot point and I know I can do that by going into Joint Editor mode. Thing is, It doesn&#39;t really give me an option to reset&nbsp;so I have to eyeball where the zero actually is.<br />
Is there a more accurate way to go about it?<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>This have happened a few times recently (last few months, could be after upgrade to 4.12 beta):</p>

<p>I work with a certain scene (environment, characters, props etc), I change poses, camera angle or whatever and save each change to a new file like Scene XYZ - 01,&nbsp;&nbsp;Scene XYZ - 02 etc. Everything is working fine but when I want to reopen (i e batch rendering) it cannot open for example Scene XYZ - 24&nbsp;and onwards. It gets stuck! This is the last entry to the log file:&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>This particular scene is FG Gothic Hall with two G8F.</p>

<p>I&#39;m pretty sure that the only difference between the last file I can open and the first I cannot open, is a camera movement, no added props, shaders or tother new stuff.</p>

<p>I can open the .DUF file with Notepad after&nbsp;converting it with 7-Zip, but ... it&#39;s a big file with tons of text that looks...fine to me.So it doesn&#39;t look like the file itself is physically corrupted.</p>

<p>Is there anything that can be done?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Over the years I&#39;ve accumulated a lot of content, but am now trying to clean out the content database and restrict all installs to a &quot;My Library&quot; folder on my fast D: drive (an SSD).</p>

<p>But try as I might, I can&#39;t manage to get rid of past installed content-- deleting Daz Studio and reinstalling, Daz Install Manager still shows some 3000 installed products, even if they&#39;re not there. And when loading new content from Daz Connect, it ignores all my preferences and installs them on my C: drive (which has very little space)</p>

<p>What do I need to do to scrub all history of Daz Studio and prior installs, install it to D:, and make sure that all content gets installed to D:?</p>

However, when I relocated DS to the new drive, it seemed to bork a large portion of my library. There are exceptions, of course, but much is lost or corrupted. I&#39;ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling severy times, but each time it gets worse. Will I have to send it all back to my old overpopulated C: Drive, or could you offer me some workarounds?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Love the Wild Fantasy Roadster. So much so I purchased it. However the steering is on the wrong side for Canada and USA. Is there function with this great model to switch the steering wheel, pedals and accompanying poses to the North American side? If not the creator TD3D should consider creating some.</p>

<p>Anyone else run into this issue with similar models by this creator? Any tips or suggestions on how to resolve this issue other then using DAZ Studio&#39;s tranlation silders to move them</p>

<p>Again I am not slamming this model. It&#39;s fantastic for the car entusiast as I am. And hot rods of this caliber are hard to find. I only wish the drivers position was on the North American side.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I use the pre-loaded lights that come with the set that I bought, but for some reason they never show up in the final render. I know it&#39;s because I&#39;m doing something wrong, but what could it be? The settings are all at default, I can see the lighting in the active viewport via the preview lighting option, and I drag around the lighting props to make sure they are in the scene. What could I be doing wrong?</p>

<p>I am a very beginner in this app and have two big problems to solve:</p>

<p>1. I can open Daz Studio, create a character, save it in .duf file, and also render it, BUT I an re-open it. Nothing is saved. I have the 4.12.0.86 PRO editon (64-bit), NVIDIA Iray. Maybe I need to download a full version (but can t I see only free version on the website) or some plugins?</p>

<p>2. Is it possible to download some hair versions (like basic long hair) for free?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m trying to create a customized <strong>Projection Template</strong> for my own use with capes. I&#39;ve followed an Esha tutorial properly. But I&#39;m getting an error. I believe what is happening when using the transfer utililty and selecting my new cape template, Daz is confusing the template with the actual product in my live directory. In the tutorial she copied a product from her live data folder and pasted in the projection template folders... I removed the live data files so that DAZ ONLY sees the projection templates... but the corresponding duf file&nbsp; still points to the live location and not the template.</p>

<p>Plus it&#39;s error on the skin binding process... which when I look at the result seems to be that it&#39;s not adding the weight maps to the corresponding bones. ARG... What can I do to get my template to work correctly.</p>

<p>Here is a screen shot showing the IM path and my computers file storage,do I have the drive labeled correctly and if so&nbsp;why does the content keep going back to c?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am using the current DS Beta &amp; current general release issue.</p>

<p>My advanced render settings are CPU unchecked GeForce GTX 690 checked &amp; GeForce GTX 690 checked.</p>

<p>Despite this sometimes when rendering I can see in the task manager that the CPU call out from Daz Studio is in excess of 90% during rendering &amp; the GPU is barely used at all.</p>

<p>Please can anyone explain why would this be &amp; what can I do to make use of the GPUs instead of the CPU?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p><span>I am currently having issues with Renderque after updating to Daz 4.12 and was wondering if anyone else was having similar issues. Basically if I render one image &quot;normally&quot; in Daz, no issues. When I run Renderque with same images and X number of additional scenes it will run the render for about a minute and then shut it down with grainy grey or black final render and move on the next doing the same over and over. I&#39;ve rebooted, checked my settings etc. I&#39;m exasperated. Any thoughts?&nbsp; Running WIndows 10</span></p>
