      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve got a few (several) shaping&nbsp;morphs and character morphs that have identical names. This means that if I use the slider then both morphs activate at the same time making them both completely unusable.</p>

<p>Does anyone know how to get around this? I assume I can rename them but haven&#39;t been able to make it stick.&nbsp;If this is the solution&nbsp;please elaborate on how to do it.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve raised an official&nbsp;support ticket about this a few times before but I have to chase them for&nbsp;3&nbsp;months before they even start to pretend that&nbsp;they don&#39;t understand what I&#39;m talking&nbsp;about.</p>

<p>Any assistance would be much appreciated.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I purchased the Felidae by AM - Lion but am unable to see a mane on the lion. Looking through the information, it appears I must purchase yet another product in order to do that. This was NOT stated on the page for this product. This seems rather a nasty way of getting additional purchases. Why am I not able to render a lion with a mane with the product I purchased? Maybe I&#39;m missing something, as I&#39;m by no means an expert with DAZ3D Studio, but I&#39;m learning. I just can understand why the mane is not visible with the product, when it cleary states that it is. Must I spend more&nbsp; money to get the mane? if so, can I get a refund, because I did not expect to have to buy more to do so. Thanks.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi there</p>

<p>I&#39;ve encountered this problem multiple times now and would like to understand why this happens and if there&#39;s a way to prevent this.<br />
So I have this scene rendering and it&#39;s rendered like 109 iterations. Then suddenly it starts over and begins again with iteration 1. When I cancel now it really looks like it just started rendering. It really is completely starting over the complete rendering.<br />
Sometimes this happens multiple times in the same rendering process, just like in this last render where the screenshots come from.<br />
I noticed it&#39;s more&nbsp;likely to happen when I&#39;m opening or using another software like chrome browser while rendering.<br />
Is this only because of my crappy hardware (GTX 770) and I&#39;m due for an upgrade, or why does this happen and can I prevent it, besides not touching my PC at all while rendering?!^^<br />

<p>I played around with the glute controller and wanted to reset them via right click (lucky there is a included script which I found to do it...)</p>

<p>The red+blue arrow marked options do both restore the selected figure... so it jumps away to the Zero point...</p>

<p>Do I miss something or is it just a missing feature, which is the reason, yhw the creators have to create scripts to zero it?</p>

<p>I&#39;m working on a project that has a number of different kinds of uniforms, and I am having problems anchoring decals or ornamental props (pins, badges, etc.) to a figure so that they stay positioned from one pose to the next. I am parenting the decal or prop to the geometry area that the object is adjacent to and should presumably inherit it&#39;s positional and rotational data, but they are sliding all over the place. Anything I parent to the hands seems to inherit just fine, but the pieces like decals or badges and pins and so forth end up all over the place when I repose the figure.</p>

<p>Any thoughts or hints or clues or outright solutions appreciated!</p>

<p>Which version of Titan RTX drivers work without any problems for the latest non-beta version of Daz? I want to be able to specify the exact drivers that should be installed on the build. Not sure if this is 100% the way to go vs a Z390 system, but the Z390s can only go up to 64GB RAM, and if I install an additional 2080ti with the Titan later on down the road, not sure if 64Gb RAM would be enough.</p>

<p>Also, it is possible to completely install Daz(i.e. smart content from Daz3d &amp; renderosity content)&nbsp;on the separate mechanical HD, correct?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Had to do a reinstall of Daz 3D and now when I try to load character presets I&#39;d created before, all of my morphs are missing. A check of the Missing Files menu seems to indicate that the program is looking for all the morphs in a subfolder named after me (&quot;e.christopherclark&quot;). Anyone have any idea how to fix this? That folder never existed and I don&#39;t know why the program thinks it did.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have 3 DAZ purchased products (listed below) that are generating errors.&nbsp; I&#39;ve been working with technical support, but so far, the issue is unresolved.&nbsp; The three products giving errors are:</p>

<p><a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files/prod/65877">Woodland Dweller for Genesis 8 Female(s)</a><br />
<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files/prod/64919">dForce Butterfly Outfit for Genesis 8 Female(s)</a><br />
and<br />
<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files/prod/48703">Urbane Poses for Genesis 8 Male(s)</a></p>

<p>The symptoms are...</p>

<ul>
	<li>Whether I access the products via Smart Content or Content Library, and whether they are installed via Installation Manager, from withing DAZ Studio&#39;s Install tab, or manually copying the files from unzipping the file downloaded from daz3d.com, the indivual files don&#39;t dispay the thumb nails,</li>
	<li>and when double-clicked, they don&#39;t install and give an error directing me to the error log.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Within the error log the error gives the file name and reads, &quot;Syntax error - expected &#39;{&#39; or &#39;[&#39;&quot;&quot;.</li>
</ul>

<p>Things I&#39;ve attempted to resolve this are...</p>

<ul>
	<li>within DAZ Studio I right-clicked the product in Smart Content and told it to uninstall and updated the meta data afterwards so it shows with the grayed out icon and the little (v) circle in the upper right, and then re-installed.</li>
	<li>within Install Manager I went to the installed products and uninstalled, and then went to the install tab and installed them again</li>
	<li>manually I&#39;ve gone to the actual folders and deleted them, and then reinstalled the files manually from the product .zip files</li>
	<li>I deleted all three (in the above order), and then attempted to re-install from the Smart Content tab</li>
	<li>I deleted all three (in the above order), and then attempted to re-install from Install Manager</li>
	<li>Finally, I delted all three and manually reinstalled.</li>
</ul>

<p>I&#39;m not sure what else to try.&nbsp; My own experience with script writing is there&#39;s a missing brace or bracket in one of the files which says to me the downloaded files from DAZ are either truncated or contain the error.</p>

<p>I own thousands of DAZ products as well as many from Renderosity and other sources, and these are the only three giving me grief right now.&nbsp; I did have a similar problem with a product from another vender a few months ago, and the vendor fixed the file, I re-installed it after their fix, and the problem was gone.&nbsp; So, I&#39;d be curious to know if others who own the above products have issues too, and if they did, how they resolved them.</p>

<p>I&#39;m open to suggestions here..</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m fairly new to using DS as my primary animation tool, so not sure if DS can do this or if I would need a script. Back when I used Poser, I would import mocap data onto a figure via BVH, which worked fairly well, but the data I was working with contained side-to-side motion on the forearms, which is unnatural--that kind of rotation happens in the &quot;twist&quot; of the shoulder in the real world.&nbsp;&nbsp;I had a Python script that would take&nbsp;the side-to-side data from the forearms (and delete it there) and add it to any already-existing &quot;twist&quot; values (in both positive and negative values) on the shoulders (rather than replace it) so none of the motion would be lost, just moved. Does anybody know if there is a&nbsp;function in DS that can do something like this, or an existing script for DS that could do it?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi peeps, long time no chat.</p>

<p>I have a problem where if I try to render just about anything either DS crashes and vanishes from the screen without warning or even a goodbye kiss, which I find rather rude, or it gives me access violation errors.</p>

<p>My PC is as follows:<br />
Processor:&nbsp; AMD Ryzen 3 2200G, quad core<br />
RAM:&nbsp; 8gb DDR3<br />
Graphic card:&nbsp; NVidia GeForce GTX 1050 TI with 4gb VRAM</p>

<p>I suspect the problem is running out of RAM.&nbsp; I have increased my virtual RAM allowance using all four drives but my C drive is small at only 100gb SSD.</p>

<p>If anyone has any suggestions that don&#39;t include me spending money I&#39;d be very grateful.&nbsp; I used to use DS on a much weaker PC so am surprised it doesn&#39;t want to work now.</p>

<p>Hoping someone can help with Fit Control G8F crashing problem. Love this product when it works!! I&#39;ve been using G3F and her Fit Control (It works Fine) as a go between but not nearly as good as the real thing.</p>

<p>It happens immediately after the Pop up saying they&#39;re appied is closed by me. Numerous re-installs and this always happens after I install other products.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve taken &quot;My Library&quot; out of the equation by pointing Daz at an empty &quot;My Library&quot;. It still happens. Looks like a conflict between something from the Daz Store and Fit Control.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The clean &quot;Log File&quot; is attached. Hope you can Help!!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So i&#39;m probably being about as derpy as i usually am in some way at times Lol...but i&#39;ve always been better with editing characters or models in a specific software and just importing im not really all that great with export settings with some things and usually one issue or another arises. I&#39;ve searched all around but the most i&#39;ve seen is Daz to Fbx information for importing into either unity or unreal engine4 etc. which isn&#39;t really what im trying to do.</p>

<p>It&#39;s just a few things, First - i&#39;m wondering since all my files for what i&#39;m wanting are individual files, if there&#39;s a way to export the model and all it has with it&#39;s individual files?&nbsp;OR at the most -&nbsp;just the models clothing, items/props (glasses are in 2 parts frames and the glass portion itself,&nbsp;while the headpieces are two individual files too)&nbsp;and hair only?</p>

<p>And Second - Could i&nbsp;use those exported files within daz when re-importing for either genesis 3 or genesis 8 use aside from just entirely remaking the items and/or figure in some other way?</p>

<p>Or is there a way to specifically export the items for daz use&nbsp;and/or model with individual items in one go when exporting? And then from there be able to apply them to daz genesis 3 or 8?</p>

<p>Or are there some other involved things i need to do first? Which of course i don&#39;t mind doing i love working on different things when i&#39;ve had time in the past and i&#39;ve got a broken left wrist (ambidextrious, so i&#39;m good to use my right hand until my left heals up lol) So i got tons of time to work on things in general now.. i also have screenshots to show what i&#39;m previously going on about.</p>

<p>I know daz has an option to export things as/for daz files but when it comes to specific settings i&#39;m not really sure if there&#39;s anything with the file being an&nbsp;fbx import (which seemed to load fine into daz as you can kind of tell) that i need to check or mess with on specific settings first before i export to reinport for daz or anything like that.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I wonder if someone could show me where I am going wrong.</p>

<p>I have one of Arryn&#39;s dForce dresses, and Linday&#39;s dForce side layered messy hair. Both work independently, but if I have the two in the model at the same time, the dForce simulation goes for 11 seconds and then the Nvidia driver crashes.&nbsp; I don&#39;t think it&#39;s a memory issue, have a 16Gb Ram machine with a 6Gb GTX1060 and the latest stable driver. The scene is empty except for a G8F character, hair and the dress. No fibremesh body hair or anything else.</p>

<p>I have tried running the dress simulation, then setting the dress as a static surface, adding the hair, and trying to simulate that. Result: the driver crashes.</p>

<p>Does anyone have any suggestions?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Following these instructions is the closest i&#39;ve ever gotten to making a rig&nbsp;work in daz. In layman terms, ( seriously, dumb it down.)&nbsp; could someone tell me what i&#39;m doing wrong? attached is how my&nbsp; figure moves after following the steps.Thanks for your help.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I still occasionally enjoy working with both Genesis and Genesis 2 figures.&nbsp; (It takes about 1/3 of the time to pose)&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, when exporting the obj for sculpting in either mudbox or ZBrush the UV&#39;s export all stacked into the first tile.&nbsp; G3 &amp; G8 export with each map on a different tile.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Does anyone know of an export script or any product with an export script that will spread the UV maps over different tiles?</p>

<p>I bought and hooked up a 3DConnexion Mouse and when i loaded Daz it gave me a pop up saying it was disabling orbit view due to the 3D mouse.&nbsp; The 3D mouse worked fine but now it has disabled the View Orbit control with the standard mouse.&nbsp; I cant even click on the little orbit view button and get it to work.&nbsp; Anyone know how to revert back to standard controls?&nbsp; I&#39;ve disabled the 3D Connexions plug in and also Reset my preferences to default but still not working.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve tried to contact the creators of this product, ever since January 2, but haven&#39;t gotten any answers, so I thought I&#39;d post my questions here. Can anyone help me with this?</p>

<p>Questions about Wolfie and Sly Fox for Genesis 8 Male:</p>

<p>The&nbsp;<span>geografted bodyparts: Can I use Some of them rather than all of them?</span></p>

<p><span>The&nbsp;</span><span>&nbsp;full body set of dForce Dynamic Fur to be used with or without the geograft parts: First, the geograft parts -- Again, can I use some of this instead of all of this? Can I choose which body parts to which to apply the fur? Can I use ears, for example, and omit the face and head? Do I have to use the head at all? Can I use a human head and apply the ears and fur on the ears?</span></p>

<p>Regarding the dForce Dynamic Fur and the dForce Dynamic Pants: do I have to use the dForce options? Will the fur and the pants apply and look all right without using the dForce options? Do you have any poses ready for the Fur and the Pants?</p>

<p>It looks really good. I&#39;m sure it is a very fine product, but I&#39;m hesitating because I &nbsp;have the above questions. &nbsp;The dForce experience is very slow on my computer, so if this product is really dependent on it, then I wouldn&#39;t buy it. I hate to buy a product and then return it. So, if I get answers to my questions, I can avoid that. I always feel that I&#39;m insulting the creator of a product if I return that product. But, if the answers are that the product can be used without dForce, then I will buy the product.</p>

So I&#39;ve got pretty good Daz Studio&nbsp;knowledge but very little when it comes to Blender.&nbsp;<br />
Say if I was&nbsp;to download a Blender based&nbsp;game character model from a site like renderhub. Would it be possible to import that model into Daz, rig it for use as a G8 or G3 model and use G8/G3 textures on it? I&#39;m guessing there&#39;s a way but I&#39;m also guessing it&#39;s incredibly complex? D:&nbsp;</p>

<p>I have a problem.</p>

<p>oneday , I can&#39;t load iray textures to a coat belongs to a product.</p>

<ul>
	<li><span>However, the files I saved before can be read normally, and it also applies this iray textures.</span></li>
	<li><span>the pants belongs to the same product is OK, it can apply Iray and 3Delight textures.</span></li>
	<li><span>the coat can apply 3Delight textures , no problem . but can&#39;t apply Iray textures.</span></li>
</ul>

<p><span>I thought about what I had done recently that might affect it.</span></p>

<p><span>I have just used [ morph loader pro ] to load a obj morph fixed by&nbsp;</span>Marvelous Designer, but only for pants ! never touched the coat !</p>

<p><span>I tried to run the product on other computers, but I had the same problem.</span></p>

<p><span>I tried using a backup product and had the same problem .</span></p>

<p>I have no idea about this ....</p>

<p>I import fluid animation from a blender. I did not find a simple way. I import every frame in the obj&nbsp;format.&nbsp;A lot of items are imported.</p>

<p>All objects are numbered in accordance with the frame on which they should be visible.</p>

<p>I found a great <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/166856/plugin-for-animating-visibility">plugin</a> that shows / hides objects in animation.&nbsp;With this plugin, I make the subject visible in the right frame.&nbsp;I do it manually.</p>

<p>How to write a script that would do this automatically?</p>

<p>So that the object with the name &quot;untitled_000005&quot;&nbsp;was visible only in frame 5.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>As I dive more and more into 3D printing I more and more want to be able to print what I make in Daz (typically as miniatures).&nbsp; Now the various Genesis models are manifold and I have been fairly successful at fixing non-manifold clothing.&nbsp; However, I know that for me knowing an item is manifold would be a selling point and especially if it is a hair that is manifold.&nbsp; So I was wondering if anyone has a list or a way to search to see what happens to be manifold and therefore more likely to be printable?&nbsp; I am guessing not but I figure that if I don&#39;t ask I will never know.</p>
