      <description><![CDATA[<p><span>I have Daz installed on two different computers. On my older computer, my content has been installed through the DIM. On the newer computer, I&rsquo;ve been installing my content using Connect.</span></p>

<p><span>I&rsquo;ve created a bunch of metadata on the older, DIM-installed computer, and I&rsquo;ve been trying to copy it over to the newer Connect-installed computer. No matter what I do, though, I can&rsquo;t seem to get it to work!!</span></p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Wondering if there is a fix so that my DAZ3D program will recognize/find .duf files that it says aren&#39;t found, but are there.&nbsp; When trying to open up G3, G8, and other figures, the program tells me that:</p>

<p>&quot;Could not open file : /People/Genesis 2 Male/Genesis 2 Base Male.duf&nbsp; File does not exist.&quot;</p>

<p>Yet, when I right click on the icon, and tell it to browse to the file location, the file is exactly where it should be.</p>

<p>I have quite a few of these files that are where they shoud be but the program isn&#39;t reading them.&nbsp; They seem to be outside any of the folders in the My DAZ 3D Library &gt; People folders.&nbsp; Not sure if that has an impact.</p>

<p>Any help or suggestions would be awesome!&nbsp; Thank you.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I made some iRay hierarchical shader presets for a free poser model, and shared them on ShareCG. They work for me, but not for some one who downloaded them from ShareCG.</p>

<p>This is only one person giving me this feedback. And I&rsquo;m wondering whether other people also have problems with it.</p>

<p>Can some people here on this forum test my shader presets for me to verify the extent of the problem?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Okay so this morning my computer failed hard, and after about 7 hours it was able to be reformatted and the old files were stored as a recovery folder, meaning that I didn&#39;t lose custom models, or models converted with tools like the RSSY clothing converters.&nbsp;</p>

<p>HOWEVER I copied those files over to the new directory for DAZ Content, but the DAZ Install Manager isn&#39;t recognizing that they&#39;re already there. I was hoping that this would allow me to skip downloading the MASSIVE amount of DAZ content through DIM again, but now I&#39;m not so sure.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Folks: Any suggestions? Can DIM be taught that the content it wants to download and install is already there? Or should I just let it do its thing?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>After a quest, I found and bought a Homburg hat in .obj format over at CGTrader.</p>

<p>I wanted initially to see what its own textures looked like on it, and then I wanted to be able to try putting some different shaders on different parts of it,&nbsp;so I imported into DAZ. Not only are there no textures on it at all, but there are no separate surfaces at all for the different elements, such as the main hat versus the hat band. The first image attached below shows&nbsp;the hat as it imports, selected, with the &quot;Surfaces&quot; tab opened.</p>

<p>The seccond image attached below shows the folder that the obj and its textures are in. I have tried importing it with the textures all in a &nbsp;&quot;textures&quot; folder, and then with them all loose in the same directory as the hat obj, and then with both (as shown).</p>

<p>I commonly go through the same or a similar maddening exercise every time I try to use an OBJ in Daz from any source. I&#39;m about defeated at this point.</p>

<p>If you have some actual helpful knowledge on this issue and can help me solve it I would be enormously in your debt. Thanks.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>For the love of god can someone tell me how to download Daz Studio again?! I&#39;ve been at this for a week and I am exausted and behind on so many projects :(</p>

<p>I&#39;ve had multiple issues with files not found (unless they were installed manually) and I have re-installed daz studio a hundred times by now, trying to completely delete it from my system. I want nothing to do with DIM because it hides the Daz program in corners I don&#39;t even know of and even after googleing how to completely delete daz and finding all the hiden folders and the registry it still opens with all my files. Yesterday I went all out and got CCleaner and an uninstaller to make sure I got everything (I hope I did). I always installed manually and never had any issue - should have never tried to use DIM in the first place, my fault!</p>

<p>The problem is that everytime I re-install I still have all the orphaned products and errors and every mistake I made while experimenting with creating categories - and I&#39;m tired of spending hours deleting orphaned products one by one (which is ridiculous btw. We should be able to delete many at once) I want a clean slate! 100%! There was no uninstall file in any of the dozens of daz folders in my computer and the only program listed in control panel was the DIM which insists in not following the designated path and creating empty folders to then tell me my files can&#39;t be found *sigh*</p>

<p>I have been to this forum and tried every solutiong to every problem I&#39;ve had and nothing works so I would like to completely get rid of Daz, re-install it as if it was the first time - no memories of nothing! - and start over. But now I can&#39;t download daz because the page keeps telling me to register and if I do I get the damn DIM which I completely do not want! If I click login here the page doesn&#39;t change and just keeps telling me to register. I have disabled adblocker, pop-up blocker... How can I get daz studio alone, new and fresh please?!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Ever since I updated my DAZ installation from the install manager, I&#39;ve been having a problem with certain scenes initialising the render and then DAZ simply blinking out of existance. I&#39;ve been running 1.2 (64bit) ever since I bought a new graphics card and I&#39;ve had no problems so far, beyond the occasional crash which usually comes with an error message.</p>

<p>On looking at the log file in troubeshooting, it tells me that the CUDA core failed to allocate memory:</p>

<p>Now, with my old card when I rendered without the CPU checked and the scene was too big for my card to handle, I&#39;d just get a black screen, not a complete crash. And the scenes themselves aren&#39;t that big. Looking at the log window for the render engine, the most recent one to crash was only about 139 MiB in geometry data- that was the final message before the thing crashed. I re-loaded an old scene I&#39;d successfuly rendered and saved, with about five figures, costumes, props and scenery: This had over 550 MiB in geometry data. It initialised the render without issues.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;m baffled as to what is causing the issue, but at the moment I&#39;ve just started a new project and although some of my renders have worked fine, others using the same characters and scenes, stubbornly refuse to work, and I&#39;ve definitely ruled out that the scenes are too large.&nbsp;I&#39;m used to being able to cheerfully render four or five fully kitted figures and a scene, and at the moment some of the scenes that are crashing only have two. I&#39;m desperately hoping that the graphics card isn&#39;t to blame: It&#39;s a GTX 1660 ti, and it wasn&#39;t cheap- I&#39;ve only had it for about eight months so it can&#39;t have worn out already. Is it a bug in the newest version of Studio 1.2? I&#39;m wondering if anyone else has run into a similar issue, and whether there many be a solution.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Okay, I&#39;m making a new morph. Or rather an edit of an old busted one. I dial in the morph, adjust the skeleton to match, add limits, export as a Morph asset... and in generally yey, it works perfect.</p>

<p>Then I save the Morph asset and it doesn&#39;t recognize the skeletal changes or the limits when I load in a figure.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I was using a Genesis 3 converter to Genesis 8 which is from the Daz store and since then I can&#39;t get Genesis 8 female to load.&nbsp; If it does come in it doesn&#39;t load correctly.&nbsp; I tried unstalling the Genesis character I was wanting to load and then re-installing it. I tried to uninstall the Genesis 8 female starter.&nbsp; I also tried using another Genesis 3 to Genesis 8 converter.&nbsp; Attached are the images from the error message and what it loads incorrectly.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>I have purchased the Kim Seohyun character and according to the product discription it comes with some expression morphs that are located under Pose Controls. These morphs are:</p>

	<li>Pose Controls Eyes Closed Deep</li>
	<li>Pose Controls Mouth Chu</li>
	<li>Pose Controls Mouth Smile Open Wide</li>
	<li>Pose Controls Mouth Smile Open Wide 2</li>
	<li>Pose Controls Lip Bottom Bite</li>
	<li>Pose Controls Tongue Out</li>
</ul>

<p>I have looked over and over for these morphs and even used the search function but can&#39;t find them. I checked in the data sub-folder and the morphs are showing up there so they are installed. I am stumped as to why I can&#39;t find them. Does anyone know how I can locate these morphs?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Whenever I create a new keyframe, all the old keyframes change to match the newest keyframe. For instance. I create a keyframe in the defualt pose, then go to frame thirty and apply a pose. I create a new keyframe at 30 and then go back to 0 and my figure is still in the pose. It does not return to the default pose. So my entire timeline takes on what ever the last key frame was. Can anyone tell me what I&#39;m doing wrong? Thanks.</p>

The only things I have added to the scene are objects that I removed than added back and I have moved characters around the scene. But everytime I try to render I get this message: 3delight message #43 (Severity 1): R5009 &quot;Displacementbound&quot; attribute without &quot;sphere&quot; value has no effect.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Ok, so I&#39;ve tried searching, but got no where, so I&#39;m hoping someone here has a solution.</p>

<p>My problem, I have a 32&quot; monitor and Windows 10 recommends a resolution of 2560 X 1400 with a 175% font scale layout. These settings work well for almost everything, except for Daz. Unfortunately, these settings make it feel like I&#39;m still using a 20&quot; monitor and the text in Daz is a bit fuzzy, as well as the overall layout feels cramped due to the scaling. The thumbnails for example are almost 2&quot; instead of a prefered 1&quot;. I really don&#39;t want to have to go into Windows setting and adjust the scaling each time I switch between Daz and other programs. I&#39;m really hoping there is a way to set Daz&#39;s resolution in program, but I couldn&#39;t find anything so far.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Daz has taken on a rather annoying habit &amp; I can&#39;t figure out what enabled it but especially how to disable it. Come to think of it, I noticed this shortly after the Beta update. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Currently running: DS Beta 4.12.1.76</p>

<p>What happens is when I save a rendered window to a file, png in this case, it not only writes the image but also an _icon.png. &nbsp;</p>

<p>The annoying part is that it&#39;s making _icon.png&#39;s for EVERY file in the folder! &nbsp;</p>

<p>And JUST that folder. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Tried a different folder and doesn&#39;t do it. Cleared out the _icon.png files (again) from the Render Tests folder, made another test render and save there and suddenly I&#39;ve 209 new _icon.pngs.&nbsp; So what&#39;s Daz got against my D:\Render Tests folder?</p>

<p>Tried with current release of 4.12... No mass icon creation.</p>

<p>So, can I consider this a reported bug?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Finally upgraded from 8.1 to 10 and kind of annoyed at certain features.&nbsp; The auto updating with no warning has lost me a few renders already, but I solved that.</p>

<p>Has anyone ever gotten the error message that .cr2 or .duf files are &quot;having problems&quot; so their default was auto switched to the Photos app?</p>

<p>Is there a way to make Windows stop this?&nbsp; Why it wants to switch defaults away from DAZ native file types is baffling.</p>

<p>Earlier today I purchased the&nbsp;<span>Auto Face Enhancer Skin HD Details for Genesis 8 Female(s).&nbsp; Everything looks like it has&nbsp;installed fine but when I move the sliders nothing happens to the face. It&#39;s genesis 8 female and I&#39;ve set the mesh resolution to 3 but the sliders still aren&#39;t changing anything. Anyone have any ideas how to fix it?</span></p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am running windos 10 with an AMD FX8370 8 core 4GHz processor, 32 GB RAM and an Invidai GTX1060 graphics card.&nbsp; I installed DAZ.&nbsp; Had one anomaly on instal several ofd the standard items failed instal the first time.&nbsp; When I clicked on them a second time in the install manage they promptly seemed to install correctly.</p>

<p>Daz seems to start up normally until I suddenly get the following error.&nbsp; &nbsp;ACCESS_VIOLATION in module &quot;C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\aticfx64.dll&quot; at 0033:0000000073200492, gslCfxInit()+14546 byte(s)</p>

<p>Any suggestions?&nbsp; Should I uninstall and try to reinstall?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have moved from one computer to another before and moved/copied the library from a backup but it had different path location.&nbsp; Before I changed the install path in DIM under the installation tab, then changed all the user install path location in the manifest files to the new one and it worked.</p>

<p>This time however when moving to a external, DIM still wants to download everything.&nbsp; Any idea why?&nbsp; The product will show up as ready to install YET it is also listed as installed.&nbsp; When I check the installed tab, I can bring up the path information in each product and it is correct.&nbsp; This has me baffled as it worked fine before, did DIM change how it handels manifest files/sees what is installed?&nbsp; Or am I missing something?&nbsp; When I added the install path I gave it the label &quot;new path&quot; and deleted the default/original one.&nbsp; Could that be the problem?&nbsp; I can&#39;t imagine a different label causing this as I thought it was just for my reference, but maybe not?</p>

<p>Since purchasing a 2nd monitor I was hoping there was a way to be able to undock my Content Tab move it to the 2nd monitor and create another withing the DAZ interface.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, I can&#39;t figure out how to have two of the same tabs. As soon as I try to create another in DAZ the 1st one disappears. Is it possible?</p>

<p>I&#39;ve made some JCM&#39;s they look okay at 100% but if the joint is anything in between the JCM is just awful. I&#39;ve come across this several times and wished I could have two JCM&#39;s one for 50% and one for 100% or in this case one that only dials in after a certain amount of joint movement. What is the solution for this?</p>

<p>I&#39;ve made an item of clothing and I made the materials for it. The UV Map for the clothing happened to be 2048px and the shader maps are 1024. In order for them material to look good I had to dial in the tiling to 0.05. I had this &#39;issue&#39; a number of times when I&#39;ve made an item of clothing and use a shader that I&#39;d bought in the shop that was inteded to be used set to 5 tiles or so yet I&#39;ve had to dial it dow to 0.05 inorder to see the detail. This is the complete opposite to what I&#39;m used to. If I dial in the torso of &nbsp;G8M to 0.05 themap is &#39;zoomed in&#39; which is what I expect so why is it working in the opposite way for the clothing?</p>

<p>If it helps I made the clothing in Marvelous Designer. Does MD do something weird?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Absolute newbie here.&nbsp; Here is the&nbsp;dForce Warrior Queen Outfit.</p>

<p>Second file shows what comes up when I type in warrior.</p>

<p>I did buy the dForce Warrior Queen Textures.</p>

<p>This is the color of what I want the outfit to look like (see third file).</p>

<p>These are the choices that I think that I should be able to select somewhere, but I don&#39;t know where.</p>
