      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hey guys, so i bought some stuff and now am having disc space problem. whole daz is getting around 80gb on my c drive and i use that drive only for windows and some programs(firefox,7zip the basics). Now im left with 15-20 gb free space.</p>

<p>should i delete uninstall daz and go to my non ssd hard drive which is 500 gb and free? IF yes can i just copy paste the daz folders and just change the directories from c:\ to f:\? or will it not work? Or must i unistall reinstall everything D: ?</p>

I have been experiencing this problem for some time now. But that hadn&#39;t been a problem in the past ... Today, it becomes annoying to have to cancel a twentieth image for a problem of brightness.</p>

<p>As if our sight released a very powerful luminous spot ... Like the gorgon in image 1.</p>

<p>How do you fix this please?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I made a material preset, but I forgot to include a texture for top coat weight.&nbsp; This means I have to make a new material preset and re-select all the other surface settings all over again&nbsp;which is a very tedious process.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Is there anyway to edit or append extra surface settings to an existing preset, so I don&#39;t have to re-select all the settings already present in the preset?&nbsp; Keep in mind the keyword EASY, because I understand I can edit the duf files in notepad++, but sometimes that&#39;s very complex and I dont&#39; want to waste time doing that, because I already have an long list of things I need to do.</p>

<p>Is there something like this:<br />

1. Select Material Preset<br />
2. Click Edit<br />
3. Add the surface setting you forgot to add<br />
4. Click Save</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I want to uninstall some morphs that I bought in renderosity. I didn&#39;t like them, and after deleting the folders, it&#39;s still there. It affects genesis 8 Male only. Where are those unwanted morphs hidden? Every time I open a G8Male, I get a hyper-muscular man, not the normal one !!! I do not understand why! Any help about this?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[I found this digital artist online to create custom full-body morph for me for Genesis figure.  She said she is using Maya for her 3D work, so I was wonderi g what is the best and easiest way to export the correct file. Is there anything I have to be careful about except base resolution, removing brows and setting up right scale for export?
It's just annoying that most people I hired couldn't get the job done, I could not re-import the morph back into Daz. If anyone recommends a good and affordable artist/site that does custom Daz models, feel free to PM me]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I frequently experience slowdown in Daz when doing spot renders, opening scenes, or even loading new elements into a scene.&nbsp; Sometimes Daz will enter a period of &quot;Not responding&quot; in Task Manager, despite CPU and Memory being under 25% and Disk being in single digits.&nbsp; Other times, CPU or Disk (or, infrequently, both) will max or near max.&nbsp; Today I experienced yet another variation&mdash;while trying to open a single scene (five characters, an obj, and a ground environment), it started trying to open at around 20% Memory (negligible CPU and Disk) and maxed around 70% Memory, before finally opening the scene more than ten minutes later.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>I have an Intel Core i7-9700 CPU @ 3.00GHz, 32 GB of RAM, a Radeon RX 580 GPU, and an MPG Z390 Gaming Plus MOBO.&nbsp; I am not in any way a tech person, but my various tech people (both friends and the people who installed the GPU and MOBO) tell me this should be more than enough to handle Daz.&nbsp; All of this is to say, does anyone have any idea why a system with mine&#39;s specifications is having so much trouble?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m trying to animate a figure walking on a sidewalk in a city.&nbsp; The figure uses Bang Bob Hair (it&#39;s dForce enabled).&nbsp;&nbsp; Along the characters path, I have set three dForce wind nodes with various dimensions and wind speeds.&nbsp; The path the character takes intersects with the falloff areas of each wind node.&nbsp;&nbsp; The effect I&#39;m after is to have the hair react to the wind in a random fashion--based on position and wind speed, but not wildly.&nbsp; The manual only addresses wind nodes in single images.</p>

<p>What I don&#39;t understand, and the results are bearing this out, is this:&nbsp; Nothing.&nbsp; The hair does not blow at all.&nbsp;&nbsp; Single frame, no problem.&nbsp; I set up the animation to have 320 frames then simulate (simulation is set properly for an animation).&nbsp;&nbsp; When I render and playback, no movement of the hair.&nbsp;&nbsp; So, I&#39;m thinking either I&#39;m missing something really basic or this isn&#39;t possible?</p>

<p>Any ideas?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m working on a scene using the <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files/prod/53137/">FG Modern Casa Bundle. </a></p>

<p>I haven&#39;t changed lighting but I did add two G8 characters.&nbsp; When I zoom one of the many cameras included with the scene the scene gets very dark (camera light is on).&nbsp; I&#39;ve noticed this with other sets in a previous version of DAZ Studio with two characters, as well.&nbsp; I&#39;ve never been able to figure out what causes it (I&#39;m in Texure Render for posing, etc., ).&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Has anyone else seen this and if so, is there a fix?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Something has changed on my system recently, and I&#39;m hoping someone might suggest where I look.</p>

<p>What I&#39;m seeing is that when figures load, the hair (which <em><strong>is</strong></em> fitted and parented to the figure) loads hovering well above their head.&nbsp; After a short delay, it then &quot;jumps&quot; down into the correct position.&nbsp; The problem is that when I batch render, in many cases the render starts before that &quot;jump&quot; happens, which means that the render comes out with the hair a foot above the figures head.</p>

<p>The issue seems to be limited to G3F figures - I don&#39;t see it happening with G8F.&nbsp; But it happens with multiple G3F figures, and also with multiple G3F hairs.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>I haven&#39;t kept track of what I&#39;ve installed recently - might have to crawl through that using file dates.&nbsp; But any suggestions for specific things I might look for?&nbsp; Anybody else seeing this?</p>

<p>Supposing I need to just render a face portrait, if I setup a whole scene with props that are not in the frame, will Iray be slower because it renders also the props not in the frame?</p>

<p>For istance, room parts that are not in the frame, will slow the render?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Can you guys please confirm the problem?</p>

<p>First, let&#39;s demonstrate normal, proper hand translation movement behavior.</p>

<p>1. Start a new DAZ scene.<br />
2. Load G8F.<br />
3. Turn IK off with CTRL K.<br />
4. Select the Translation tool.<br />
5. Select G8F&#39;s hand and begin moving it along X, Y, or Z axis.</p>

<p>You should notice everything is smooth and working fine.</p>

<p>Now try this:</p>

<p>1. Select the hip of G8F and choose select children, which selects all G8F&#39;s body parts.<br />
2. Cick Edit-&gt; Figure -&gt; Limits -&gt; Limits Off , there will be a delay of a few seconds.<br />
3. With all the body parts still selected, click&nbsp;Edit-&gt; Figure -&gt; Limits -&gt; Limits On, once again a few seconds delay.<br />
4. <em>Note: All we&#39;ve done is turn limits off then on, no big deal right?</em><br />
5. Select the hand and try to move it via the translation tool, you&#39;re going to notice it&#39;s completely messed up now and doesn&#39;t work nearly as properly prior to messing with the limits.</p>

<p>Why does this happen and how can I restore G8F to it&#39;s original limit settings?&nbsp; Restore Figure, Pose or Shape doesn&#39;t work. Restoring original rigging doesn&#39;t work either.&nbsp;I was forced to load a new G8F and transfer all my work to this new G8F, because the G8F I was working on is broken because of messing with the limits, so finding a solution to this would be great just in case it happens again. I&#39;m worried if I turn limits off when applying poses, it&#39;s going to eventually&nbsp;break my ability to move the hand properly with the translaton tool, foricng me to transfer all clothing, surfaces, mats to a new G8F, which is extremely annoying.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi. I recently cought Add Some Veins for Genesis 8. I have a Genesis 8 figure (basic Genesis 8 male figure, and then altered it with Renderosity&#39;s Falcon figure which is also Genesis 8. I have installed Add Some Veins and I found it under Library, and selected the command where the veins sort of show up all over the body. However, I am now looking for the sliders, and they are nowhere to be found. I have Daz3D 4.12, and then there is also installed &#39;Default Daz Resources for Studio 4.9&#39;. This is all extremely frustrating to me, I am still new, and the usability is atrocious...can someone help me?</p>

<p>Update: The sliders are now there. But only the forehead veins are popping, the rest remain flat. I tried it also with a simple Genesis 8 figure, and again with a Genesis 8 figure having a renderosity Falcon figure - only the forehead veins pop. :-(((</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am trying to figure out a way to isolate some of my DS assets. Specifically I want to have all of the G8 characters, morphs and textures in their own Runtime. (The same with G3F, etc.)</p>

<p>Why? Two reasons... having all the morphs installed adds a lot of overhead and irrelevant dials when I am designing characters.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A couple of ideas I had...</p>

<p>Use DIM to install everything and then use a file filter to uninstall anything with morphs and reinstall those to a different directory.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Or install everything and physically move the morph directory through Windows, but worried that this might have unintended consequences.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Anyone have any suggestions?</p>

Today, there are no options for morhs.&nbsp; None.&nbsp; Zero.&nbsp; No adjustments for anything.<br />

How do I convert it to iRay with same light distribution as before but in iRay compatible formats.       <description><![CDATA[<p>What is wrong with his arm? &nbsp;And his shoulder? &nbsp;I am not at my computer but the render is saved to my iPad. &nbsp;When I saved the render on my computer I did not notice the arm issue but after I saved it to my iPad it is unavoidable to see.</p>

<p>Probably after dinner I will get back on my computer to check the settings. &nbsp;It is a G8M character with no changes other than posing and the centaur geografts added. &nbsp;I forgot which character but I think it is for Landon 8.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So... I&#39;ve had this problem for nearly 20 years and I&#39;m a) shocked no one else has ever had this problem and b) surprised it has moved from Poser to Daz3d...&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>I use the fine adjustment wheels (Or on Daz the sliders) almost exclusively to fine tune my poses.&nbsp; And some times I&#39;ll get this problem:&nbsp; Two of the 3 axes will do the exact same thing (See attached).&nbsp; Sometimes it&#39;s the X and Y Axes, sometimes it&#39;s the Y and Z axes, etc.<br />

This has been happening since Poser 4. Naturally I have upgraded my computers a number of times since 1999, it&#39;s not limited to my &quot;Primatives&quot; directory (I&#39;ve had arms or legs which can only &quot;Twist&quot; and &quot;Forward-Back&quot; but &quot;Bend&quot; is the same as &quot;Twist&quot;)&nbsp; It&#39;s moved from Poser to Daz3D, and every incarnation since then...&nbsp; It&#39;s completely random (As in, it&#39;s not always the same object), but it DOES stay when the file is closed and shut down and Daz Studio is reloaded (As in: Closing the program and restarting does not solve this problem).&nbsp; The only way to solve it is to delete the character or object and reload it.</p>

<p>Any ideas?&nbsp; I mean, I&#39;ve been dealing with it since the beginning of Poser so I can just keep on keeping on... but I&#39;d love to hear if I have somehow had a setting wrong this entire time.</p>
