      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello everyone ;) for info I use a translator so please excuse in advance for any errors.</p>

<p>I just found out about refunds and I would like to know in which cases it applies, is there a time limit for requesting a refund? For me there are 3 types of items, there are those I use, those I no longer use and those I consider badly made, in my case I would like to be refunded for items that I consider badly made and that I can not use for several reasons, in this sense is there a quantity limit? for example 10 items?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have been a long time user of Poser &amp; Daz3d, back when the two of them were best of friends.&nbsp; Something happend and the two parted ways.&nbsp; Leaving all of us avid Poser users lost having to learn a new software.&nbsp; Daz Studio.&nbsp; I&#39;ve always had this issue but was too shy to ask the demigods of the forum.&nbsp; When I want to export a Daz3d Genesis figure out to another renderer, in this case Blender.&nbsp; It never can be successully brought into Blender or any other renderer.&nbsp; It ends up looking like some bad Break Dancer whos body was crushed as it got thrown under a bus. Sometimes it does import into the renderer, but without any morphs or the pose that were applied to the figure before hand.&nbsp; I&#39;ve used all the 3d formats that are available for export/import,&nbsp; fbx, obj, dae, and the native duf format.&nbsp; My purpose is not for multi frame animation but a single frame shot of a 3d scene.&nbsp; I have utilized the Decimator to reduce the size of the polygon count, I would also check the Export settings option that would &quot;fuse or merge&quot; the skeleton.&nbsp; Thus the pose and morphs were embedded into that figure.&nbsp; That worked, cause I didn&#39;t need to adjust the position of the figure,&nbsp; sometimes I did.&nbsp; &nbsp;But there still is no easy and viable way to export a figure into Blender.&nbsp; there is a couple of plugs out there that really don&#39;t do that, even though they say the plugin can do that.&nbsp; I&#39;m sure there are hundreds of people out there with the same frustrating ongoing problem.&nbsp; &nbsp;Maybe someone can show me an alternative way to accomplish this task?&nbsp; I&#39;d like to get this figure out of Daz Studio and set it up in Blender.&nbsp; Iray has a bad habit of freezing just as the render is almost finished.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Along the line, there are quite a few converters out there but it&#39;s a bit of a mess. I haven&#39;t yet seen any sort of &quot;unified&quot; package allowing for conversion from M4 and V4 and all the way up to G8 male and female. Ideally, whatever character you have in a given gender woulds be convertible to each later generation and provide adjustment, spatial and postural. I can imagine it would be a real pain to build, but it definitely would be worth the money... right now, one is stuck to converting from generation 4 to an old G generation and then only to G8. I could be wrong but I have a feeling that the result of converting several times could be a final result that strays away from the original pose... I could be very wrong of course but after experimenting it sure feels that way.</p>

<p><span>And wow, do I have some questions!</span></p>

<p><span>For instance,&nbsp;</span></p>

<p><span>How exactly is HDRI a &quot;projection&quot;? Is it projected from the infinite dome into the scene or from the center of the scene to the infintie dome and then light/color bouncing off the infinite dome back into the scene?</span></p>

<p><span>Is the HDRI map simply laid/stretched upon/around&nbsp;an &quot;infinite/finite dome&quot; or is it something that is projected onto this dome?</span></p>

<p><span>I have noticed that if I take an HRDI file into Photoshop and resize it and save it as an HDRI, the image looks exactly the same when loaded onto a Daz infinite dome, other than depending on if it is resized larger or smaller the smaller file has a noticeable loss in quality and detail definition but the dome images are the same size.</span></p>

<p><span>What is odd is that the relative size of the objects (i.e. the sun or moon etc.) in the HDRI &quot;projection&quot; (if it is a projection)&nbsp;is still the same size!</span></p>

<p><span>Is the infinite dome always the same size?</span></p>

<p><span>The infinite dome can be rotated on all axis but there is not a resize slider. It seems the infinite dome cannot be translated either, only the finite dome can be translated. That might have solved my dilemma. If I move my figures/objects in the scene further away or closer to the sun/moon, then it distorts the sun/moon so they become oblong and misshapen.</span></p>

<p><span>If the infinite dome is a projection, then this would affect the finite dome in different way.</span></p>

<p><span>Depending on if the HDRI file is a projection. How is the HDRI file transferred to the finite dome from the infinite dome?&nbsp;Is the image refracted like though a piece of glass from the infinite dome outside to the finite dome inside&nbsp;or is it projected to the finite dome and then onto the infinite dome also? There is a size distortion between the infinite dome to the finite dome.&nbsp;The finite dome shows the sun/moon objects of the infinite dome smaller when inside of it.&nbsp;&nbsp;Is it a projection from the center of the scene out or projected from the outside dome in? </span></p>

<p><span>If this is a projection, how do I adjust the &quot;projector&quot; to make the image/dome size smaller or larger&nbsp;if it is not a projection how to I&nbsp;scale the image&nbsp;wrapped around the dome so the sun/ moon is closer (smaller) or further away (larger)? (I am not referring to the sun/sky only option. This is regarding HDRI skies.)</span></p>

<p><span>I bought a pack TerraDome and in the promo pics it shows the sun smaller, but I can&#39;t figure out how to resize the sun. I don&rsquo;t want to make it half as small I want to be able to gradually make it smaller or larger, so it fits precisely into my scene the way I need it.</span></p>

<p><span>Any answers to these questions are greatly appreciated. </span></p>

<p><span>You can resize the finite dome but that does not affect the image &quot;projected&quot; onto the dome, it remains constant. It seems the image on the finite dome is about half the size of the&nbsp;infinite dome. Do I&nbsp;have to&nbsp;edit a parameter in the HDRI file itself to change the initial dome size?</span></p>

<p><span>And if the dome size remains constant, what exactly does the environment lighting resolution&nbsp;slider do especially regarding how many megapixels the HDRI file is? Does it raise and lower the megapixels of the file itself or does it lengthen the ray tracing paths of the HDRI light effect?</span></p>

<p><span>If the dome is always the same size, then that would explain why more megapixels makes a more detailed image, but you would think that a larger image would make a larger dome size. This does not seem to be the case. This again leads me back to the question how do I resize the infinite dome or use the finite dome to obtain the same effect? This all boils down to, how do I resize the HDRI sun/moon? </span></p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a custom morph that was created and saved&nbsp;on the G8F&nbsp;that is categorized in&nbsp;GroupA.&nbsp; I changed the group for that morph to GroupB and resaved the morph.&nbsp; That worked fine.&nbsp; However when I open up older scenes that have that character in it, that morph is still listed under GroupA.&nbsp; How can apply that group change to a morph without having to open up and manually change the group for each scene?&nbsp; I have dozens of scenes with that char in it so the manual way isn&#39;t feasible.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p><span>Does anyone know what is causing this line distortion in the thigh skin texture of my character?</span></p>

<p><span>It is happening in two different characters in the&nbsp;scene (Michael&nbsp;8 and Callan) they have them on their arms too. (I&nbsp;hope they are not coming down with something...) :)</span></p>

<p><span>They are both being lit by a single ghost light and have a large&nbsp;plane behind the camera and light so it can&#39;t be shadows cast by land or objects behind the camera. The sky is set to scene only.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p><span>Any suggestions would be helpful.</span></p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I recently had to switch all my content to a new hard drive, as my old one failed. I copied everything to the new hard drive through Time Machine on my Mac. Under Content Directory Manager, I thought I pointed Daz to the new location of the files.&nbsp;</p>

<p>When I open Daz, I get a message &quot;A valid PostgreSQL CMS connection could not be established and the Smart Content library is empty. Daz now crashed twice on me.</p>

<p>What do I need to do to get Daz running smoothly again?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>...OK I would like to install a few freebie .obj files but cannot access the ,OBJs folder in windows for some reason.&nbsp; It shows up in the main directory tree but doesn&#39;t in Windows. The Install manager&nbsp;won&#39;t work as it the items are&nbsp;Daz products, but from Turbosquid.&nbsp; I tried making a separate one to put into my freebies folder but kept getting a warning that it didn&#39;t have a &quot;runtime&quot; format. When I opted to put it in, closed Daz, reopened it, and went to Preferences but that folder didn&#39;t show up.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Perplexed as I was able to do this before.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Is there any way to customise the timeline to something as close to 4.11? I work with many frames at a time (i.e. 2-3k) and the new 4.12 timeline doesn&#39;t quite cut it. The basic view removes critical features like key creation/deletion/skipping and hotkeying deletion doesn&#39;t help since it won&#39;t delete the black triangle indicators on the affected frames. The intermediate view doesn&#39;t display keys at all (i.e. the whole timeline remains blank so I don&#39;t know where changes have been made).</p>

<p>While the advanced view looked really neat and precise at first, it gets cluttered up real quick and once it does left or right clicking anywhere in the timeline&nbsp;crashes Daz. Crashing also occurs when I select a dozen or more things at once - i.e. select children / select all - in the viewport.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello guys, sorry to bother you all once more with noob questions. In the attached pic you&#39;ll see what happens to nails (in this case toenails) when I apply a displacement map to the feet (not the nails). How do I stop that from happening? A few important pieces of information: I&#39;m working with a G2F model (Aiko, if I remember well, I haven&#39;t worked in Daz since forever!) and I didn&#39;t apply any morphs to toes, of any kind. This happens with every displacement map/G2F figure I use. The Strenght is 100% and the Max/Min values are +0.1 and -0.1. Does anyone have any clues? Am I missing something? <p>a long while ago, i read this post/thread about how to deal with hair that cover ears... and continue following with long &quot;elf&quot; ears (or any ears but usually you don&#39;t see it). the result is a bunch of triangular hair sticking out of the head instead of the ears peeking out...<br />
there was a simple manip to do on either the figure, or the ears (which wasn&#39;t possible by then since it was genesis i think), or the hair or some part of the hair.<br />
or in the morph of the ear... or some morph of the hair.. in the parameter panel, edit (where you have those gears) and uncheck auto-following. NO IDEA WHERE. i tried a few possibilities, to not avail, and honestly, i have absolutely no clue what i&#39;m doing and why.</p>

<p>the only thing i remember was that you were supposed to have something stop auto-following something else.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Posted a bug report on Sunday and haven&#39;t had any kind of response except for the initial generic email. I can understand because of the medical emergency but would be nice to have some kind of indication.</p>

<p>Starting about 10 days ago any attempt to use Iray render results in a fatal error and closes the program. Can&#39;t even do a preview in shade mixer without crashing. I can render using GL (which is a lot faster) but not Iray.&nbsp; I have a complete uninstall and reinstall without success.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Okay, so I recently picked up the Rural Chateau III from Jack Tomalin and the lights don&#39;t seem to work. I load the enviroment into the scene, select a lighting mode from the product (for instance late afternoon) and then click on Iray preview and the light is barely noticeble. I try changing the direction of the sun nod that comes with the product. The light direction does not change. I try changing the intensity of the light and nothing changes. I make sure the render settings are set to scene only and still nothing. Anyone know what I&#39;m doing wrong? Or is there something wrong with the product?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hey everyone,</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;ve downloaded and re-downloaded the daz managaer and daz studio multiple times and I keep getting this message.</p>

<p>My firewall is not on when I try to do this. I&#39;ve also tried just pressing the loggin button and thats when it shows me the message with the bulleted list that I screen shotted below.</p>

<p>The Start CMS button doesn&#39;t do anything and i&#39;ve tried reseting the port to 1800, which people keep suggesting because they use that for most games. Here are the order of the files.</p>

<p>Idk if me being on Catalina has anything to ddo with why it POSTgreSQL is not working, I can&#39;t get rid of that symbol hanging over the PagAdmin Logo.</p>

<p>Anybody got any pointers or a solid work around? I&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried to export <span>[the Sexy Stewardess Outfit for Genesis 8 Female in an] </span>FBX file from Daz&nbsp;to reimport it in Rellusion CC3.</p>

<p>Ther are a lot of errors : buttons not in place, deformations on dress...</p>

<p>Have you an issue please ?</p>

<p>I recently purchased IDG Iray Essentials for my characters and the skins work fine. However, for some reason the male gential textures will not load.</p>

<p>I&#39;m using Sledgehammer&#39;s OMGDK for G8 males. When using G8 Male genital textures from all different kinds of G8 male characters it works fine, but whenever I try using the IDG Iray Essentials texture it doesn&#39;t load up at all.</p>

<p>I have tried reinstalling it with smart content, DAZ Install Manager, and manually installing it but still get the same results. I am using Daz Studio 4.12 Pro with Windows 10.</p>

<p>If anyone has any ideas of what I could try I would greatly appreciate it.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So I just Purchased this and followed all directions on the install, double checked everything like they asked to make sure it was installed the right way, when I open Daz 4.12 and go to Edit / Start HeadShop , everything seems fine until I get to the &quot;The create new project window&quot;&nbsp; it does not open all the way, and HeadShop Loader window says waiting for HeadShop and my mouse curser has the Hour Glass when I am in DAZ, when I move the Mouse into the Create a New Project Window the mouse is fine and I can even start the project but the window is so small that it just is not loaded all the way, and its not like I can expand it</p>

<p>Then when I close it down it tells me &quot;HeadShop closed before it can Create the necessary files&quot; , and the Genesis 8 Morph that was loaded in Daz has just her limps showing, no body or head.</p>

<p>This isn&#39;t the first time I&#39;ve seen this (I have a few others with the same issues), but it&#39;s really getting old now. I even tried switching eye packs to try and solve it (no dice). Can anyone suggest a fix that doesn&#39;t involve destroying the morph in question, or am I going to have to rebuild it? I&#39;m reasonably sure the all the morphs in question are converted G3F critters, but I can&#39;t say for 100% certainty.</p>
