      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello,I am a long time user,&nbsp;I had recently reformated my compter and was trying to reintall Daz but ran into it getting stuck on upgrading cms. I can see the progression dot flash but nothing happened. When i when to unintall i noticed that DAZ Studio 4.12 (win 64 bit) would simply dissapear from the intalled tab and to the ready to install. When i started que and dissapeared again and was in installed. Then i noticed that instead of showing is size like Defeault Resources 57.1 MB, DAZ Studio just had an ? So i uninstalled Daz studio then completely unintalled intall manager from my computer. Deleting any folders, then i reinstalled. Instead of clicking on the suggested install message or doing a mass install clicking on DAZ Studio, Defaults Resourse, PostgreSQL CMS (Win 64 bit) and PostgreSQL CMS From Valentina CMS Conversion.</p>

<p>This time DAZ studio installed normally, progression bar and size 1.1GB. But this time Valentina was the one that was dissapearing from ready to install to installed, showing its size as 0. I uninstalled it and tried running Daz but it still hangs on upgrading CMS.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any help would be greatly apperciated and I hope I gave enough details on my problem. I have sent a ticket and waiting but also thought I would ask here to.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi all,</p>

<p>I have bought&nbsp;<span>Tesla Study Room from the shop and i have one big issue. When i export to blender as .obj with mtl file the mtl file is missing a lot of textures where it&acute;s only blank. Seems it only exports the files that came with the room but many normal textures like aluminium and glass and others are not exported but the room&nbsp;looks fine when i open in daz3d with all needed textures. Is there anyway to fix this so all textures gets exported not only the ones that came with the room becuase it doesn&acute;t have all needed and seem to use some of daz3d:s own default built in textures that doesn&acute;t get exported.</span></p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>For the past few weeks I&#39;ve been having problems with clothing and smartprops not fitting /parenting to Victoria 4.&nbsp; I load them as always, but now they must be manually fitted/parented, even for old scenes that were made long before the problem began.&nbsp; At the same time, the pose V4 loads in is not the default t-pose, her feet are flat on the floor.&nbsp; I tried reinstalling V4 with no change.&nbsp; If anyone has any ideas I&#39;d be truly grateful, as this is very frustrating.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>DAZ CMS postgresql stopped working.<br />
I thought it was a case of new router having closed ports - nope.<br />
deleted appdata/roaming/etc files - didn&#39;t help.<br />
reinstalled Postgresql few times in different possible ways- still not working.<br />
reinstalled DAZ Studio - nothing changed.<br />
Daz, DIMM etc had and has all admin privileges.<br />
Seems like postgresql is not runnning in background.<br />
In fact it doesn&#39;t run at all.<br />
all what has changed on my pc for last week was:<br />
- updated nvidia drivers<br />
- moved to new flat with new router<br />
- uninstalled mcaffe free web advisor<br />
also I can&#39;t install postgresql from their website due some semicolon error<br />
and my cmd executable seems to be shutting itself down<br />
(that might have smthng with postgresql not working according to my it friend)</p>

<p>is there anything except for installing windows again?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>If I hide an item in the Scene pane and close DS, later when I reload it, it will remember to hide the item (the eye remains closed for those items).</p>

<p>In contrast, if I hide an item in a new Selection Set in the Tool Settings while using&nbsp;the geometry editor, when I&nbsp;load the scene again later, all those hide settings are gone (the eye is open again) and I have to go through the scene finding all the different items and re-hiding them&nbsp;(there are sometimes dozens and this can be quite time-consuming).</p>

<p>Is there a way to retain the &quot;hide&quot;&nbsp;setting in the Tool Settings pane when the Scene is re-loaded?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong when exporting Daz characters as OBJs to import into Blender? As little as back in November of 2019, I was able to adjust the skin tone of the G8M in Surfaces and export them properly so Blender would open them with the correct skin tone. I&nbsp;made some Goblins and orcs for a story I was working on. Anyway, been trying agin recently to add some darker skin toned characters but all I gat is the pale white, default skin tone. I have not changed any settings I can see but nothing I have tied will export the tinted skin tone. I think it may have to do with v4.12 as I believe the older version worked properly but unfortunately it does not seem like they allow you to run older versions of Daz so I am unable to test it. Below is a link to a ss of the settings I use by default (which worked back in 11/19). I have tried all the other settings and the only one that seems to come close is Selecting No Maps under Write Material Librarby but that acutally just colors each surface a flat color and does not use any of the texutring in the body maps. Collected maps use the same pale skin tone and Convert Maps does not really do anything for Blender. I&#39;ve tried turing off Write surfaces and Write MAterial Library in various combinations as well as un checking and checking boxes over on the left hand side without any positive effect. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated. I use Skin Bulder for G8F so I do not have an issue with those.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Since Daz took away my lip sync capacity when I foolishly upgraded to 4.12 and let it write over my lovely old 32 bit version with lip sync, I&#39;ve been thinking about buying... Yes, buying a plug in to get on with my dialogue animations. There appears to be only two alternatives; Anilip and Mimic Live.</p>

<p>Mimic Live looks like a good option but absolutely nowhere can I find out if it allows me to import a pre-recorded .wav file. Some may assume that would be taken for granted, but if I&#39;m going to pay $50.00, I&#39;d like to see that facility in writing beforehand.</p>

<p>Does anyone know the answer to this?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Simple question.&nbsp; I am creating content outside of Daz and importing it into Daz. I have imported the same clothing item in both Quads and Tris and Dforce simulated it.&nbsp; Honestly, the results seem about the same. The reason I ask is that everthing in Daz seems to be in Quads by default, so obviously, I should stick to Quads in general. But, in terms of Dforce specifically, does it like Quads, Tris, or does it not really care one way or the other?&nbsp;Sorry if this is a dumb question but I am new at this. (I personally prefer the look of&nbsp;Tris because I have convinced myself they look better for some reason.)</p>

<p>Bonus Question: When importing to Daz from Marvelous Designer, what&#39;s the lowest Particle Distance Simulation Property you can get away with before Dforce gets all cranky? It defaults to 20mm but is that the best setting in general for Daz? 10mm seemed fine, it did not like 5mm (lol), or is it dependent on the indvidual garment?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have looked everywhere for a way to resolve this issue, and cannot find anything that works. Any help you all can provide would be greatly apprecited.</p>

<p>I am re-categorizing my content in Daz Studio. The goal was to put items in &quot;my&quot; categories, and simultaenously remove them from the default categories, so that the default categories would only contain items that I had not moved to my own specific categories. However, unchecking the boxes in the Categorize screen that map an item into the default categories will not actually remove it from said default categories, nor will clicking the &quot;Remove from all Categories&quot; button. The categorize box will make you think that it&#39;s going to work how I want it to, but as soon as you bring the item back up and pull up its category options, it&#39;s back in default categories again.</p>

<p>There are two ways that I can see to get the effect that I want. Either by being able to remove the item from Default Categories, or by being able to pull up a listing of all items that are ONLY in default categories, not my special ones. Insight as to how to achieve either methodology will work.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Ok I&#39;ve seen forum threads that ppl made on here who have had trouble by searching all over google. I&#39;ve tried looking everywhere for a solution, but came across a video on how to make morphs using morph loader pro. what they did was they changed the head shape of the genesis 8 female base a bit and exported it with poser preset option. Then they reset the base figure shape (removing all edits) and did the same thing with the body and exported it. Next they opened morph loader pro and imported both files using poser preset option (without editing them in a third party program) and successfully created the morphs. However, when i tried this, i still get geometry doesnt match. what did i do wrong?</p>

<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;as if the rigging is off or something. I&#39;ve followed all the steps&nbsp;</p>

<p>Adjust pose to match G3,&nbsp;Load unparented, Edit&gt; Scene ID, Edit&gt;Transfer Rigging then fit. but every time the arms and, sometimes,&nbsp;legs go weird. The arms worse than the legs. I&#39;ve tried tweaking the starting pose to match exactly but it makes little difference. I&#39;ve tried different clothing with similar results. I finally tried just zeroing the G8 pose and, as expected, that didn&#39;t help. See Attached.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Anyone got any ideas.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have spent most of the last few days buried in documents and videos trying to come to grips with dForce, and getting it to work on my system without causing program or even system crashes. I&#39;ve made some progress and managed to get a successful simulation run on a dress, on a figure in a non-default pose, using animation frames.</p>

<p>But I have searched and searched in vain for any video tutorials on how to <strong>animate a character</strong> in a dForce outfit. Everything I find about &quot;animation&quot; and dForce is talking only about using animation frames just to get a simulation run and draped on a SINGLE pose. But even that just creates its own major problem: The ENDING frame is what I want for a BEGINNING frame, yet there is no way to delete all the frames from frame zero up to the ending frame. It also dosn&#39;t work to copy the ENDING frame and paste it to frame zero; the dForce result doesn&#39;t transfer with it. Wut?</p>

<p>So here is my question: How in the world do you ANIMATE a CHARACTER in dForce clothes, changing the character from pose to pose across many frames, and have the dForce clothes do their dForce thing? Do you have to re-run the simulation for every pose change?</p>

<p>I think (hope?) I can get the character into the pose I want on frame zero using the dForce &quot;current frame&quot; operation, and having it start from the default pose. But then what? How do I get the character into a completely different pose at frame 15, and yet another different pose at frame 30, and so on?</p>

<p>Does anybody here know of any good <strong><em>spoken word</em></strong> video tutorial on this specific question? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.</p>

<p>Is there a way to get my HDRI ground to show up on anything but a vanilla beauty canvas?&nbsp; My environment mode doesn&#39;t make a difference, and besides the &quot;with ground&quot; thing makes the HDRI look wacky.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So I&#39;m basically spending all my time in Daz these days, and GPU prices won&#39;t be going down anytime soon, so I&#39;m debating making the switch.&nbsp; My usualy hardware guy isn&#39;t an option at the moment, because there&#39;s some nasty bug going around, so I&#39;m thinking of swapping out cards myself.</p>

<p>My question is can I just plug a 2080ti into my system using the same power connectors?&nbsp; My old card is a 1070.&nbsp; My PSU is some&nbsp;Thermaltake 750W model.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve attached a text file with my current system details from CPU-ID.</p>

<p>Any caveats would be much appreciated.</p>

<p>I just bought the &#39;MRLdForce Long Morphing Hair for Genesis 8 Female. I have two issues that I can&#39;t figure out.</p>

<p>Firstly when I render the scene with IRAY the hair is not visible (all you get is the scalp cap!). This seems to be related to the second problem, there are no polygons to the hair (execpt the scalp cap). I can not get the hair to hang right. I can&#39;t grab the hair and move it (because there are no polygons) and the dForce part doesn&#39;t seem to work (the hair does not hang down towards the floor if the character is leaning over.</p>

<p>Can some kind sole please point me in the right direction, what am I not doing right?</p>

<p>I&#39;ve just gotten the <span><span>said </span></span>Character Converter<span> [G8F to G3F]</span> because I&#39;m mainly using G3, but still want to make use of the lovely G8 characters out there. Right now, I&#39;m trying to convert some Mousso women to G3, and I&#39;m always running into the same problem. When the settings are just right for the face and body - tolerance 0, &quot;hide eyes&quot; unchecked - there are ugly break rings appearing in the eyes, I don&#39;t really have a clue how this happens. You can see them&nbsp;in my attached (half-baked) renders of Mousso&#39;s Albany character. They are specially clear with the dark eyes, but quite noticeable in&nbsp;the lighter ones too.&nbsp;Now, if I check &quot;hide eyes&quot; instead, the irises become totally distorted, so this doesn&#39;t seem to be an option. Anyone have any ideas what&#39;s causing this, and especially, how to avoid / fix this? Because otherwise, I&#39;m really happy with the results!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I have noticed that the distance to the horizon in Daz Studio seems to behave differently depending on what is in the scene. If it is an empty scene and I try to zoom out the ground plane very quickly seems to get clipped off at the back. If there is an item in the scene (large or small) and I translate the item a long way back (say -100000 on the z axis) and then zoom out the ground plane doesn&#39;t get clipped at all. (See attachments).</p>

<p>I have also noticed that if I have an extended item that makes use of transparency maps for things like decals and labels, if I zoom out far enough to see the entire item then the transpareny maps don&#39;t seem to work and the entire map is shown as a black square.</p>

<p>Can someone explain to me how zooming and the horizon are working? And if there is something I can do regarding the transparency maps?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I think that&#39;s the correct technical Latin phrase. I am having the dickens of a time trying to get the <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/paige-dress"><strong>Paige Dress</strong></a>&mdash;which I absolutely love for the project I&#39;m currently doing&mdash;to &quot;do right,&quot; as we say down South.</p>

<p>I&#39;m attaching an image to show what I&#39;m having trouble with (see technical-term title). This is a WIP, so please ignore anything else in the screen grab, such with her pose and position right now: If I can&#39;t get the dress to &quot;drape&quot; sensibly in the pose with her leaning over looking at the jukebox, then I&#39;m going to have to back out and try something else. I can&#39;t find any controls/morphs for the dress that fix this.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I also need to have her stand up from that pose, turn around, and look at a camera dollying toward from behind, so I&#39;ve got to get some control over this dress somehow.</p>

<p>Anybody know any magic tricks for this? Or even just down-to-retro-Earth tips?</p>

<p>ETA: It&#39;s also frustrating how the texture &quot;stretches&quot; and gets distorted with the dress shape.&nbsp;Anybody know any way to overcome that, too?</p>

<p>What do you all think is &quot;THE BEST&quot; Graphics Card out there in 2020 for the fastest 3d rendering for stills and animation, people are telling me a Titan, but which Titan...? , but I am also reading for the money a Nvidia RTX 2080 TI is pretty dam good as well and half the money.</p>

<p>I will take everyones thoughts on this,</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m creating a pair of heels for G8F.&nbsp; I&#39;m following the guide from Allen Wenfeldt on working with G3F (<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tbhf7cwq9hM">youtube</a>) and making a few modifications:</p>

<ul>
	<li>I remove the weights from each toe, the toes group, and the metatarsals.&nbsp; I apply the now missing weights to the foot.&nbsp; The foot map now covers most of the shoe, except where the shin has influence.</li>
	<li>In order to model the shoes easier, I initially pose the thigh bends to 8 inward, and 8 inward twist.</li>
	<li>Once the shoes are fit to the figure, I restore the default pose and export an .obj for updating the base geometry.&nbsp; This puts the shoes in the G8 default pose.</li>
	<li>I added a zeroed jcm to eliminate a jcm that was driven by moving the big toe.</li>
</ul>

<p>I get to the point of &quot;Saving out a Wearable Preset&quot; around the 27 minute mark.&nbsp; When I attempt to load the wearable, the toe area is warped.</p>

<p>Original, pre-save, version is shown in WearableProblem1.jpg.&nbsp; Now I only have access to WearableProblem2.jpg.&nbsp; After closing Daz, even my previous saves have this geometry distortion.</p>

<p>I feel like I have to be doing something wrong given the vast amount of high heel content available in the store.&nbsp; Any thoughts, ideas, help, etc is appreciated.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi everyone.</p>

<p>I have&nbsp;transferred some&nbsp;Genesis 8 figures&nbsp;from Genesis 3 figures using&nbsp;morph loader ability, not RSA&#39;s converter script. I chose morph loader because it gave me the best result in resemblence between the figures copied and transferred.</p>

<p>Unfortunately not everything was perfect. I have some irritating bone rotation problem. Some of the bones/joints rotate in wrong direction.</p>

<p>1. Eyes : Eyes&nbsp;X/Y axis are inverted. When I roll figure&#39;s eyes toward right in [posing] tab by setting [Eyes Side-Side] dial, they&nbsp;roll&nbsp;left. When I roll them upward they roll downward.</p>

<p>2. Fingers : The finger&nbsp;bones were supposed to <span>bend&nbsp;on&nbsp;Z axis</span>, but&nbsp;thumb bones(Right Thumb 3) are not bending, but are <span>bending on y axis.</span></p>

<p>Does anyone know why this happen? Is&nbsp;there&nbsp;an in-the-scene solution(Like changing rotation axis)? I really don&#39;t want to stop using morph loader method.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Trying to download and install a recent&nbsp;update to a product, four times DIM has hung, with an endlessly spinning beachball (Mac), and the system reporting DIM as &quot;Unresponsive.&quot; I tried uninstalling the product, thinking maybe it would work just to reinstall it, which would include the update (I think, hope). DIM hung again, endlessly spinning. Had to force quit.</p>

<p>I finally just did a &quot;Download&quot; and manual install. I have no idea what I&#39;m supposed to do with the &quot;Manifest.dsx&quot; and the &quot;Supplement.dsx&quot; files that came in the zip file, and only can hope it will work now.</p>

<p>I know, I know: file a ticket. I may at some point. Right now I&#39;m too fed up with the whole mess.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I recently purchased the &quot;Bloody nurse fantasy costume set for G8F&quot;. When viewing the model and choosing options everything looks great, but when I go to export it, this package doesn&#39;t emit any files into the textures folder. Other items within the project export textures without issue. I also went as far as creating a new scene with just one of the articles of clothing to test, but no luck their either.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Has anyone seen this before and if so, how do you go about troubleshooting why certain textures aren&#39;t exported?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Every time I load up DS I get some error about LAMH player.&nbsp; I thought I uninstalled it but the errors keep coming back.</p>

<p>edit: Error still exists after I uninstalled LAMH after Uninstall with DIM.</p>

<p>Yet another edit:&nbsp; I uninstalled and reinstalled so I can uninstall it with the error keep coming up.</p>
