      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi.somewhere in the past i had bought &quot;Contemporary Loft&quot; from the vendor &quot;Human&quot;.</p>

<p>Had it tweaked in 3dl for daz 4.7 and could render in minutes.</p>

<p>now i have the set installed again and am trying to render in Iray.&nbsp; oooh boi.</p>

<p>With only one character standing in the room. the darn thing takes 1 hour 20 minutes to render a 2500px x&nbsp; 1400 ish picture.</p>

<p>Standing on some tropical island with the same Character takes about 25 minutes.</p>

<p>Are these times normal or anything? render settings are pretty default. texture compression to 8000 and quality to 100 with maxed out times</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>This is my first time trying to import a complex object into Daz Studio.&nbsp; So if you don&#39;t mind please be descriptive on any information to fix this, I have only been working with studio for about a year.&nbsp; I tried to watch a couple of videos but just got confused cause they were using outside applications which I don&#39;t have.&nbsp; I do have Blender but to be honest I barily know how to open the app.</p>

<p>So I purchased a 3D Max made object from TurboSquid it came with a .max/ .fbx/ .obj file with it.&nbsp; See the picture below this is what I get when I import.&nbsp; The mtl file doesn&#39;t actually link to any of the jpg files that came with the product. Not a big deal as I can add the textures myself.&nbsp; My problem is I can&#39;t move the object at all, none of the translate dials work!&nbsp; Camera zoom in and out doesn&#39;t work!&nbsp; I can rotate the object so I can spin it around in circles.&nbsp; The image attached is where the object lands with it rotated around to face front like its suppose to, but since I cant translate it&#39;s cut off the bottom.&nbsp; I also tried importing the fbx file and it comes in but then its all broke into pieces (see second image).&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I need to give an animation more frames. So I start character in Pose A at frame 1, then Frame 30 they&#39;re in Pose B.</p>

<p>But I now want to make it so that in frame 45 they&#39;re in Pose B, taking longer to go through the animation more smoothly.</p>

<p>However, when I put them in Pose B at frame 45, they&#39;re still stuck in Pose B from frame 30. And the option to delete the keys, which would have fixed this in the past, is greyed out and I can&#39;t touch it.</p>

<p>Is there an easy solution please? Thank you.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello.</p>

<p>I&#39;m working on a file with a rope that has too many sections as you can see in the attached image,&nbsp;and I only need to constantly modify the first and the last section but it&#39;s a nightmare to navigate in the scene window because I have to scroll doooooown and right every time I need to modify the last section. Is there a way to hide or conbine all the middle sections of the rope so they don&#39;t show up in the &quot;scene&quot; window?</p>

<p>I have tried to figure this one out on my own by doing research online and some experiments, but my search parameters must be off, as I haven&#39;t found the solution yet.</p>

<p>I have a figure who is wearing a coat with a &quot;tail&quot; at the back; when I put her&nbsp;in an action pose, the bottom-center of the coat tail wants to adhere to the character&#39;s bum, and defy gravity.</p>

<p>What I&#39;d like is for it to actually obey gravity and fall flat, like in reality.</p>

<p>The coat is not inherently dForce, but any suggestions you can give which might work, I will definitely try!&nbsp; I may need a bit of detail in your walk-throughs if it isn&#39;t too much trouble.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Thank you for your time!&nbsp; And I&#39;m attaching a screenshot example of my issue.&nbsp; I apologize for the odd position of the camera, but it was the best way to depict my issue.</p>

<p>So I&#39;ve been very reluctant to use any Genesis 8 Female figures for a few reasons, but the main one is that it takes between 30 to 40 minutes to load a single base model female figure. Not only does it take 30+ minutes, but it also comes with the &quot;Duplicate Formula&quot; thing (of which I&#39;ve grown acustome to with G3 Figures in my library and not worried). While I can deal with the Duplicate formula error, I cannot deal with it taking 30+ minutes to load a single base G8F figure.</p>

<p>Where as, I have another scene that is 900 Megabytes in size, multiple Genesis 3 Figures, dozens of articles of clothing- some with revamped and custome textures, and it takes 20 to 25 minutes to load. I can easily understand this G3F file taking 25 minutes to load, but I cannot understand nor accept is a single, <em>base model</em> Genesis 8 Female figure taking 30 to 40 load. (A single G3F model takes only a few minutes. It used to take seconds until I upgraded to 4.10 from 4.9- but that&#39;s another can of worms.)</p>

<p>Can someone please explain to me why this is? I have the latest daz studio 4.11 version, latest updates and drivers, along with enough computational horse power and RAM to launch a Nasa shuttle.</p>

<p>Any and all help to getting this load time cut down to less than 5 minutes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>This is my first time posting and I&#39;m really hopeful someone can help with this -</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>I have no idea how it started but I openned Daz Studio on Monday and saw that the viewport was black - not only that but the gridlines are leaving ghost traces as I manipulate the view. I see from checking the forums that I&#39;m not the only one with this problem. I&#39;ve tried every fix suggested for these other folks but haven&#39;t had any luck. I&#39;ve uninstalled/reinstalled several times; I even reverted to a previous version of Daz Studio (4.11) and I&#39;m getting the same problem. My laptop has an AMD card so the Intel graphics being primary shouldn&#39;t be the problem as outlined on a previous thread.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I put in a ticket, but no one&#39;s gotten back to me. I hope someone can help!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Some clothing items have separate buttons, such as the Casual Golf Polo Shirt.&nbsp; The buttons are attached far down in the tree, and are not viewed in the part list. &nbsp; When you set the visibility (eyeball) of the shirt to &quot;Invisible&quot;, the buttons do not get set to invisible, and ruin renders.&nbsp; Even worse, the buttons are very small, and are easily overlooked (embarassingly) until much later.&nbsp; Is there a way to force the program to recursively set visibility off all the way down a tree, and not just some of the tree?&nbsp; I do consider this a bug.&nbsp; Thanks for any help!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Basically, I can&#39;t get the transfer utility to work the way it should be. I set everything up with the transfer utility and then the clothes i made all attach to the head for some reason.</p>

<p>I made custom clothes in Marvelous Designer and want to attach them to my figures. Both G8&nbsp;male and female. Now there is an abundance of morphs dialed in and both characters are&nbsp;completely custom characters. The clothing was created around these characters for these characters, so there&#39;s no way it will fit the base genesis figure. I have read that not using the base G8 figures can mess up the process, but I currently don&#39;t have another choice then to use the custom characters.</p>

<p>Now, in Maya, this process takes less than 10 seconds to accomplish. After uploading the character and clothes and lining them up, I simply use Deform----&gt;Wrap and I&#39;m finished. The clothes now move with the character. That&#39;s all I&#39;m really trying to accomplish, and I thought the transfer utility was either the best way or the only way, but no luck with it sofar. I could be very wrong with literally everything I&#39;m trying to do, though, because I&#39;m new to daz and still learning how it all works. Thank you for any help I can get trying to figure this one out everyone.</p>

I have a slight issue when trying out a sculpt for a spine, when sending the duf scene to my friend to open it, he was telling me it was off axis, when I looked back at my scene. It was perfectly aligned.<br />

Afterwords, I wasent sure what was the problem... So I asked him to fix the alignment for me and send it back to me to see the results.<br />

<p>Due to frustration, I decided to call on another friend to check both our files out, he load merged the scenes and the results were... complete misalignment, just like my first friend.</p>

<p>Alright, Iasked him to do me a favour, to send me his g2f base as a .obj just to see, while I do a complete wipe installation of my DaZ files, Like uninstall plush remove all traces from %appdata%. When I got his .obj I tried to load it up in which the results are ...</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So after hours of trying edit some asset in maya (export/modify/import/copy-paste the textures) I have discovered the Geometry Tool, which surprised me how easy is to use, however I want to know how limited it is.<br />
Right now I have this scene below.</p>

<p>I want to do two things:<br />
1. The selected wall I would like to move it to the left let&#39;s say a meter<br />
2. The picture on the wall I would like to separate it from the wall and be a solo object. Without duplicating the wall and deleting everything except for the picture.<br />
3. Let&#39;s say I have a bed and the sheet is combined with the bed. I want to separate the sheet from the bed and move it&#39;s vertexes how I please.</p>

<p>Is it possible?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I wanted to use the pubic hair settings included in Skin builder 8F (<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/skin-builder-8-for-genesis-8-females">https://www.daz3d.com/skin-builder-8-for-genesis-8-females</a>) , but I run into a problem : Settings leave the exact area where the genitals should be uncovered. So if I use a base model without genitals, this lack of genitals becomes obvious. <p>I am trying to figure out what I&#39;m doing wrong as everything I try produces wrong results and I&#39;m pretty much out of ideas and I&#39;ve google unsuccessfully for help.</p>

<p>Here&#39;s the issue:</p>

<p>Genesis 8:</p>

<p>Base A-Pose default =&nbsp;KEYED at frame 0</p>

<p>Posed using axis rotation and sliders = KEYED at frame 30</p>

<p>Images attached show:</p>

<p>1) Model in Daz at frame 30</p>

<p>2) FBX imported in C4D</p>

<p>3) COLLADA imported in C4D</p>

<p>4) COLLADA imported in Marvelous</p>

<p>5) FBX imported in Marvelous</p>

<p>Please help me figure out how to export this correctly, or how to pose it correctly to have a clean export?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m trying out this script, but I would like to change the size of the images so I can use it to preview scenes with a lut without taking it into photoshop.&nbsp; Is there any way to increase the size of the images in the window? The window can be scaled but the images stay the same size.&nbsp; Not sure if its possible to edit the script to do this or if this is hardcoded in the dll?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am encountering a rendering issue. I have a Titan X Maxwell and 2 GTX 1080Tis. When I have a scene loaded, GPUZ tells me each GPU is using between 5.5 and 7.5 GB of VRAM. It seems strange to me that they are all using such different amounts of VRAM, but still that&#39;s well within the 11GB and 12GB amounts of the 1080tis and Titan X, respectively.</p>

<p>While in iray preview mode in the viewport, all 3 gpus are being utilized as measure by GPUZ. However, when actually try to render the scene, only the titan x is used.</p>

<p>All GPU drivers are up to date, and all BIOS and chipset drivers are up to date as well. This happens in both the public and beta buils of DS.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any ideas on how I can fix this? Or what the problem is? Or perhaps someone has encountered the same issue before? Thanks.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So i have build a new pc. one month old an r9 3900x with 32gb ram and a rtx 2080ti.</p>

<p>for some reason i can only get a few renders done in iray mode but daz will crash when i have about 10gb loaded in the v-ram.</p>

<p>as for 3DL, when it works it renders in seconds. but adding a figure with uber surface will crash daz and or will send my pc into blue screen.</p>

<p>on various modes i get errors pointing from kernel32 nt.dll&#39;s and the mkv.dll&#39;s to just hard reboots. Has daz gone so bad with their software or am i so bad with setting up my system.</p>

<p>combined renders with the graphics card and cpu selected are not possible system will crash instantly.</p>

<p>Anybody else having a hard time setting daz up for rendering? This makes me wanna downgrade back to 4.7 so bad. that version would just render and not putting the fear of life in me when i want to hit the render button</p>

<p>So, I&#39;m not sure why this is happening ... It just started a few days ago.</p>

<p>It used to only happen when I would change the viewport to &quot;NVIDIA IRAY&quot; to preview lighting</p>

<p>Now, it happens randomly after loading something into the scene. (I say randomly because sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesnt. Also, sometimes simply changing the camera angle will make the textures disappear as well.</p>

<p>It doesnt seem to effect my renders however, but i&#39;m just curious as to why this is happening since its kind of annoying and difficult to create a scene with a model looking like this.</p>

<p>UPDATE: While writing this post I was messing around with it changing the textures to see if it would help and when I changed the skin mat the model appeared normal as if just loaded into the scene but when I tried to change her clothing mat everything went to shit and it looks worse now, theres even more texture missing</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I bought a new laptop and a new external harddrive and moved my content from one external to the other and vise versa computer information i Renamed the external hard drive and everything so everything would load. But when it goes to load my saved scene it ask me to find the runtime that the textures are in. Please help me. I thought things would be fine as my content was on an external drive.</p>

<p>ok so how do you do this for 3.1 version of daz studio? because much like Aethyr in another forum i am having the same issue loading, with it asking for textures. I recently got a new computer, and I thought things would be fine as my content was on an external drive (But i also got a new external hard drive and moved everything over and renamed the drive and paths). i have done this before and everything worked fine but not this time.</p>

<p>i was using windows 7 and update to windows 10. i moved all the files from one computer to next and even reinstalled daz Studio as like before. But when loading a scene its asking to locate the texture files, and they are excatly where they were before so now i have to hunt done all the textures. if i hit skip it brings in a white character and clothing. please help me. i truely dont want to update to 4. because i love 3.1</p>

<p>I&#39;m pretty new to&nbsp;Daz so forgive me if I ask the obvious but is it possible to mirror/flip hair?<br />
I have a couple of hairstyles where the bangs go from left to right and I have a pose where I could really use the mirror version, so bangs going from right to left, because of the lighting I want to use.<br />
I looked in the tools but I don&#39;t see a flip horizontal like you have in Photoshop (or maybe I just missed it)<br />
