      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello. I&#39;m doing animations in 4.12 and I used to like fitting the timeline as a tab on the left, next to things like Smart Content, Render Settings, etc. And in the past it would function and display like a normal tab, freeing me to shift between them quickly.</p>

<p>Since 4.12 that is no longer the case. Whenever I try to put the Timline window into my left tabs, it doesn&#39;t become a part, it just takes over. Meaning I can&#39;t get to my Smart Content or Render Settings unless I close the Timeline Window, and if I want to work on an animation, I have to go back and forth, opening and closing the Timeline window, instead of just having it as a tab like before. It looks like the tabs are&nbsp;pushed out of reach when I try to put the Timeline window to the left.</p>

<p>Is there a fix? Thank you.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Using 3Xchane to convert and import between DAZ and Iclone works for many things. I am curious if anybody knows how to import the BVH motion into DAZ after it was created in 3DXchange by applying springs to extended bones. I was able to take some bunny ears made for K4 import into 3DXchange as an FBX and apply extended bones to the ears and then apply springs to the ears all inside of 3DXchange. I could even export the motion as a BVH. When I try to apply the BVH to the Bunny ears inside DAZ it does not move correctly. The ears are a geograft so the BVH is apllied to the ears only, I think. But obviously if this is even possible I&#39;m not doing it correctly. Does anybody have a clue if something like this is possible?&nbsp; Maybe export as an FBX into Poser then creating a BVH there and import into DAZ?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Sometimes I&#39;ll use more than one dforce item for a scene, let&#39;s say a blanket and some hair. I run dforce on the blanket, and get it just how I want, freeze sim, but then I need to simulate the hair. The blanket stays, but I don&#39;t get the hair right, so I&#39;ve got to clear siumulation and do it again... but that will reset the blanket, even with freeze sim on.</p>

<p>At this stage, when I get something with dforce posed right and something wrong, I just reload the scene to where the blanket is right so I don&#39;t need to simulate again. Is there another way? Is it safe to remove a dforce modifier from something already posed? Thank you!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello and thank you for any help.&nbsp; I bought and installed these through the install tab in Daz.&nbsp; The description says &quot;48 Sculpted HD Original Expressions&quot; but it&#39;s not in the Posing tab presets/editor.&nbsp; So I checked the Shaping tab and it&#39;s not there (I even looked under every body part&#39;s tab including legs haha).&nbsp; I have never used powerpose/face, is that it?&nbsp; Are there sliders somewhere?&nbsp; I love sliders.&nbsp; The Smart Content tab only has a reset button.&nbsp; I just can&#39;t wait to make some funny faces, somebody out there, has anyone used it yet?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Earlier in the evening, I was able to find all of my 3rd party assets within daz studio easily. I was working on an animation and from a tip from a friend told me to get animate 2 and the issues I was having would be resolved with that. I did as he suggested. I got it and I activated it. Daz is working fine, but now I cannot find my 3rd party assets at all in daz. I try to do a search and nothing comes up. The files are saved where they&#39;re supposed to be, but they don&#39;t come up anymore after activating Animate. Does Daz go into a default setting after activating that or something? And if so, does anyone know or have a link showing how to connect folders on a different drive to Daz since I forget how to do that. Because of all the assets I have, I have everything saved on an external hard drive so I don&#39;t eat up my tower drive. I&#39;ve tried everything I can think of and just grasping at straws now.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I just purchased Mimic Live and noticed that there are 2 files to install -&nbsp; The regular 64-bit and a BETA version.&nbsp; the install fails on the Beta version and I am attaching a screenshot of the message.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Should I hide the beta file so that it doesn&#39;t keep wanting to install it every time I use the DIM?&nbsp; I am assuming that the regular file followed the Beta version but I could be wrong.&nbsp; Should Daz be pulling the Beta and not having both files try to install?</p>

<p>What is the best way to split apart Daz Models like a house?. They are commonly not modular where you can remove the roof, or remove a wall to get HDRI lighting in.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have been playing around with converting old 3d Universe characters to duf.&nbsp; I know that some in the forums indicate that it isn&#39;t worth it because weight mapping can cause serious wonkiness.&nbsp; Either way, it has been a great way to learn more about DS and what properties impact what.</p>

<p>With the Toon Snake, I ran into a new (for me) puzzle.&nbsp; The toon eyes are a slider/morph but there is a subcomponent of ERCs. They are the only piece that I can&#39;t figure out to have a accurate conversion.&nbsp; Is there a way to preserve them?&nbsp; Currently, my DS version of the toon snake only has traditional round eyes because the subcomponents are not carrying through the conversion.</p>

<p>I just had an horrible crash and... it seems to continue going crazy.</p>

<p>I added my char socks and then I did duplicate them and fit+parent them to a other char.</p>

<p>Now I splitted the socks into left+Right sock via Geo editor, this did caused that the socks from the other Person also got crazy (not the first time... why does geo editor change ALL objects that are similar and not only the one I edit?)</p>

<p>See attachment it was complete broken.</p>

<p>I renamed all and restored the design and now... are the socks from the other person broken, the bottom is gone and when I select them I select the body.</p>

<p>I assume when I switch now to geo editor it will crash &gt;_&lt;</p>

<p>Please help me ;( How to fix my 2 socks with splitted socks. I wanna make the socks different dirty, because they painted the wall and paint is splattered/dropped on the socks.</p>

<p>Edit: the bottom s are now &quot;socks&quot; and I did deactivate and reactivate that surface via geo editor, now its back. I have no idea whats going on.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>If I&#39;m in the Parameters-Tab I have a field where I can enter a part of the name of the parameter I search for. I also see the possibility to save such a filter, means I can create a text file containing e.g. &#39;Smile&#39; save it and have then the option to load the filter more quick.</p>

<p>Is there also a way to filter for more key words, so that I see for example all parameters containing either &#39;Smile&#39; or &#39;Laugh&#39;.</p>

<p>One other disappointing thing when using the filter field: Sometimes when I try to type a letter in it, the key stroke is used to control the view. Is there a way to deactivate it?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I was looking through the documentation, but i wasn&#39;t able to figure out how to make my textures work in a multi tile system(UV&#39;s) system)</p>

<p>To explain this better, i noticed some surfaces&nbsp;from figures i bought have &quot;multiple textures&quot; and when going to the folder they all end up as 1001, 1002, etc for the uv&#39;s (genesis 8)</p>

<p>how can i load textures the same way? right now I&#39;m loading a displacement texture, and i have all the endings as 1001, 1002, etc, but it seems like it only loads the one i open and not all of them.(which means my displacement is wrong on the other uvs i get face displacement on arms, etc)</p>

<p>how can i make it work in multi tile?</p>

I tried to uninstall through Daz Install manager, but the character dial is still there, but not working as before, I tried deleting the folder and character preset from My Daz3D library, but I can still see the character dial. I tried to delete the file from the install section in Daz Dim and download it again in Dim, still not working. I then tried to install it manually, still no luck. I have searched through my Daz 3D library for Albany and am trying to delete everything to get a clean download and install but many files can&#39;t be deleted beacause they aren&#39;t were they supposed to be, it says that the file aren&#39;t in the location any longer do I want to verify and find the place and try again? So I can&#39;t even get a clean install. Please help me with this, I mostly use my custom Lara character, Albany is the only character I really care about and love and want to use besides my Lara. <p>Edit: I deleted everything I could from My Daz library, uninstalled through Daz Dim and downloaded and installed through Daz Dim and she seams to be working now. I have had this problem with Albany before, it was a while ago so I don&#39;t remember how it got fixed but I mangaged to get her working again. She seams to be very buggy, I adore the shape and skin but the buggyness not so much&nbsp;<img alt="sad" src="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/sad_smile.png" title="sad" />. I&#39;ll try now and convert her to G3 using the G8 to G3 converter, it&#39;s so by using that I disovered she was not working again. I have seen her converted through that product so hopefully I can get it to work also. I&#39;ll write here if I get any more bugs with her.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>When I create a new folder for a subcategory of renders, I can see it in the file hierarchy, and the <strong>Image Path</strong> displays correctly in the <em>Render &gt; General &gt; Image Path</em>&nbsp;drop-down, but the Save function doesn&#39;t appear to register the change and the completed&nbsp;renders continue to be stored in whatever directory was&nbsp;previously selected. It continues to do so&nbsp;even if there are several renders.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>In other words, if you edit the Image Path directory name/path, it registers the <em>name</em> of the new directory (and displays it correctly in Image Path), but it doesn&#39;t put the files in the newly selected directory, subsequent renders go into the old filepath.</p>

<p>It happens consistently. Is this going to be fixed in the next version? Is there a workaround to get the correct file path until it is?</p>

I cant drag the panels out, I want to move it, but I cant move it out of that group, also I am somehow atm. to stupid to find the panel settings, normally I see a option for &quot;dockable/undockable&quot; but... where is it, what did I press that it disappeared? :/</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am using an aniblock from a friend that has about 215 frames for an animation. I&#39;m using Genesis 8 figures and the aniblock is made for a Gen 8 characters. It is two characters in the animation. I am trying to make to where the guy is holding onto the girl from the start of the animation all the way through til the end. I get both in position how I want them in frame 1, but then when I hit play the hands move off the girl for the duration of the animation. I have animate2 and thought I was doing everything correctly, but I&#39;m not. Is there anyone that can set me straight on what I might need to do go get this to do what I want it to? Thank you in advance.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi all, I&#39;m almost new in the 3d world. As usual, sorry for my bad english (google tranlsate).<br />

I&#39;m trying to make simple polygonal changes to a 3d genesis 8 actor purchased on the daz3d shop.<br />
<br />
I think I understand that the polygonal shape cannot be freely modified on daz studio so I opened the genisis 8 on hexagon 2.5 using the &quot;file -&gt; send to hexagon&quot; button on daz studio.<br />
<br />
So far, although I don&#39;t know if it is correct, everything is fine. I managed to make the desired changes on the hexagon.<br />
<br />
But... And now? How do I save everything as a new genesis 8 actor for daz studio? Cannot find any export button in .duf<br />
The only one file type that seems to work in daz studio is .obj but when i go to open it on daz studio it is absolutely not a genesis 8 but a static figure like a bedside table :(</p>

<p>I tried several modifications on surfaces, tried to use &quot;200Plus&quot; and &quot;Natural Eyes&quot;, but the error continues.<br />
Until yesterday I had problems with some Genesis 3 characters that used Rarestone, but applying 200Plus solved this problem (Accidentally).<br />
<br />
What I noticed was that the Genesis 3 figures that used Rarestone were simply replaced by 200Plus, and that solved the problem, but in Genesis 8, both Rarestone and 200Plus are active, is there any way to remove Rarestone?</p>
