However, even after installing, I have no &quot;light presets&quot; folder in my content library.       <description><![CDATA[<p>Hey everyone. Out of nowhere with one certain model I have, I noticed a deformity on her stomach or lower pelvis. I didn&#39;t think much of it till it started really showing up with renders and lights. Below is what I&#39;m talking about. I used the polygon tool to grab onto the surface to see if there really was something up and it wasn&#39;t just the skin map somehow. Nope, Definitely something wrong with the actual body in terms of being deformed in this spot. Anyone know of a way to flatten this out or pull the skin out somehow? I have no clue how to go about it. Please help.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>* DAZ 4.12 - Windows 10 Home - HP15 Ryzen Vega *</p>

<p>So all week I&#39;ve been busy creating shader presets for a project, everything has gone as expected, as always.</p>

<p>Today I opened up DS to continue my work, and THIS happened:</p>

<p>As you can plainly see, upon saving the preset, the thumbnail appears in OpenGL shading, NOT in Iray shading as selected in the viewport.</p>

<p>The shader preset itself IS being saved correctly, but the thumbnail will not appear Iray-rendered as in the viewport, as it always has. I can apply it to any surface successfully, but no matter what, I cannot save it anywhere from any surface with a proper thumbnail.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried anything and everything I could think of; using a fresh scene, applying to/saving from different geometries, reset to default render settings, saving to different locations, modifying what is and isn&#39;t saved with the shader data, trying to apply stock Iray uber shaders to stuff and saving that etc. etc., but no matter what, suddenly DS wants to save the thumbnail in OpenGL texture shading.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve blown several hours now trying to figure this out, and many more hours scouring Google for any mention of such a state, although any combination of terms (and my google-fu is quite good) only returns the same glut of basic shader tutorials and newbie mistakes in applying shaders.</p>

<p>The kicker is, I&#39;ve done nothing I know of differently than I always have, and nothing I know of has changed between last night when I shut down DS and went to bed, and when I woke up and started DS again. O.o The last shaders I was working on last night were emissive shaders for neon tubes. The computer has not been re-booted.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>The only interruption to my workflow was experimenting with IES profiles on an emissive sphere in a fresh new scene before closing DS. I can&#39;t image that would bork the renderer.</p>

<p>So, has anyone ever seen this before, or knows what the issue could be? I&#39;m praying it&#39;s something stupidly simple, like a checkbox somewhere... The last thing I want to do is manually make thumbs and install them where they go (tedious!), and the VERY LAST thing I would want to do is re-install Studio.</p>

<p>as I wrote this, I decided to close DS since I&#39;m not using it... and got THIS</p>

<p>I just opend and closed DS again, and the same thing happened. Crash log saved, submitting it to QC. I&#39;ll let this post stand as-is and link it in bug report. This may be related, this is totally new behavior.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>After rendering a scene and exiting from DAZ,&nbsp; I was surprised to find through Window&#39;s Task Manager that DAZ was still using a substantial amount of memory (around 4 Gb). There was a Daz Studio Application open in the Process Tab although Daz was already closed.</p>

<p>I had to make an End Task to free that memory . Any explanation?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello everyone, I hope you are all healthy.</p>

<p>I am currently having a problum with creating a morph that will not expload. I tryed everything I can think of and nothing has helped.</p>

<p>I am currently working on fixing a shirt with some JCMs but just a simple sphere is having the same problum when i try to create a morph for it and i have no idea whats wrong.</p>

<p>So if I can get the sphere working correctly I can get my JCMs working correctly.</p>

<p>Anyways I attached some images explaining my problum, if there is anyone that can give me some advice for have had a similar problum and can share inside I would be very grateful.</p>

<p>With the sphere, I am using Blender as my modeling software.</p>

<p>I create a sphere in Daz3d then I export it out using the Daz3D preset option so the scale is all correct.</p>

<p>Next i import it into Blender, then I activate edit mode and pull out some vertacies. As seen here. So I havent added or taken away anything, just moved the verts around.</p>

<p>Next I export the 3D model out of Blender and uncheck everything so that it exports out as clean as possoble.</p>

<p>Next i open Morph loader Pro, and select the edited model.</p>

<p>I chose reverse deformation in the options, and press ok</p>

<p>I get a success!</p>

<p>then when i turn up the morph dial, my model Exploads!</p>

<p>Can anyone help please.</p>

<p>I purchased session 2 of...&quot;<span>Creating Incredible Line Art with Line Render 9000 : Creating Line Art from People&quot;. I don&#39;t see the .mp4 videos that are supposed to come with this tutorial. I already purchased session 1, and can view the .mp4 files with no problem. </span></p>

<p><span>The session 2 product package is also only 865.33.kb, but the session 1 product package is 437mb.</span></p>

<p><span>Does anybody know why I don&#39;t have the .mp4 files for session 2? Thanks.</span></p>

<p>Just finished a render and suddenly Zelara melted. seem to fix it on &#39;Mesh resolution&#39; by switching from sharp edges and corners to soft, then back again</p>

<p>The inserts are from the previous render</p>

<p>after the first render I added the bike, then the vehicle in the background, which I decimated to 10% on everything. Has decimator got any issues like this? This is the first time I have tried it. when decimating, did I need to do something to Zelara?</p>

<p>Any ideas please?</p>

<p>When you unfit a pair of shoes, they keep a weird position between themselves, and that doesn&#39;t look natural.</p>

<p>Is it possible to make them fall, without deforming like normal clothes?</p>

<p>I have tried removing the weight, but they didn&#39;t move of course.<br />
The same happened when I tried getting the stiffness of the surfaces to 1.</p>

<p>Hope you&#39;re all well, healthy and safe. I&#39;m mucking about with the iClone facial mapping key for G3M. I got it to work by dragging some keyframes around, cause their .duf is disaligned. Anyhow the process relies on using their own set of .dsf to control parts of the face rig. (Raise inner eyebrow left etc.) But when I apply some fiberhair brows they don&#39;t autofollow their .dsf in contrast to, in this example, &quot;Pose Controls &gt; Head &gt; Brow &gt; Brow Inner Up-Down Left&quot;.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Is there a way of setting up a (set of) controllers to force the eyebrows to behave as they do with the official pose controls for third party poses?</p>

<p>The oddest thing is I&#39;m finding no indication anywhere on the eyebrow prop that it is in any way controlled by anything?? No hidden parameters, no sub-components or controllers in the parameters... The brows are &quot;Fit To&quot; G3M, maybe that&#39;s why...? I dunno.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello everybody! I&#39;ve been struggling with this for the past couple of days and was wondering if anyone might be able to help me out.&nbsp;</p>

<p>How can I get a detailed but monochromatic and evenly lit&nbsp;render like what you find in store previews?</p>

<p>My attempts so far have included transforming everything into the Clay Shader - Porcelain or Grey (<a href="https://www.daz3d.com/clay-style-shaders-for-iray" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.daz3d.com/clay-style-shaders-for-iray</a>), then various itirations of the Ghost Light (<a href="https://www.daz3d.com/iray-ghost-light-kit" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.daz3d.com/iray-ghost-light-kit</a>)&nbsp;- (natural light, daylight, all the luminescence) then rendering in Iray.</p>

<p>But what ends up happening is that the light simply drowns everything out, or the shadows swallow up the details. Even if I tried making the light source further away or futzing with the light itensity, the result is the same.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any ideas?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>i don&#39;t remember if i&#39;ve made a similar topic, but i do not think so. the problem comes in at the very last second,.once the transfer utility runs, suddenly, all of those clothes are wrapped around my characters head. i&#39;ve tried correcting this on my own for weeks, but i just can&#39;t figure it out. i have everything (shirt, pants, etc.) positioned exactly where it should be, but then they all suddenly wrap around the head of the character? i could really use some help with correcting this problem. i would really appreciate any answer i could get or something i could try, please. thank you. important to note would be that it is a custom characters with may morphs applied and i know that can cause problems, but it is unfortunately my only option as the clothes too are custom made to fit the character.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>i&#39;m following this video to accomplish the most of my task.</p>

<p>the problem is that i have an object file that replaces the normal Genesis head. i parented the new head (which is an obj file) under the normal head and everywhere else, in dz, maya, whatever program, it acts as the new head and moves/rotates as if it were the Genesis head with poses.</p>

<p>everything works out perfectly when i follow that video, except one thing. once the character is inside of Unreal, the head is no longer parented? i guess? it just stays in the tpose position and doesn&#39;t move.</p>

<p>basically, i have to use the target manager in unreal to target the Genesis bones with the Unreal skeleton which gives it all the correct controls and animations. when i target the &quot;Head&quot; is where, i guess, the problem lies here, because it doesn&#39;t work. i can only assume, because it is targeting the normal genesis head without the new OBJ head (the normal genesis head is hidden/invisible at this point). that could only make sense because the head bone is attached to the normal Genesis head and not the new OBJ head, but i don&#39;t understand why the fact that it is technically a child of the parent head is not sufficient.</p>

<p>i&#39;m looking for a solution for this, because the customized OBJ head is completely neccesary for the project. the only thing that i can personally think of is if there is some way to directly connect the object file in Daz to the head BONE instead of parenting it to the HEAD?</p>

<p>is this possible? or can anyone think of a different, more sensible solution to this problem. thank you for any help that you can give me with this problem. i would really appreciate it.</p>

I am currently using Octane and I did run into a problem.&nbsp;<br />
I am getting the &quot;Bogus scene path&quot; error and this error does appear when an asset uses a &quot;&amp;,%,&#39;&quot; etc. in their name.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
The asset I am talking about is an &quot;H&amp;C&quot; asset.&nbsp;<br />
I did rename the folder to &quot;HandC&quot;.<br />
<br />
But when I rename the &quot;runtime/textures/H&amp;C&quot; folder, it can&#39;t find the materials anymore.&nbsp;<br />
I did modify the .dsx file for it and replace &quot;H&amp;C with HandC. But it still wants to go to &quot;H&amp;C&quot;.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
My question is.. Where can I set a new runtime path for this asset?<br />
