      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi,&nbsp;<br />
I&#39;m working in a lanyard badge that has dimension of 3&quot;x5&quot; and using a rendered stack of books with daz models climbing up them. Only problem is, when I render each figure and resize them in Photoshop cc 2020, they pixelate so bad I&#39;m losting all quality. I&#39;ve tried going back to Daz and re rendering the figures, basically zooming out and upping the resolution but they are still pixelated. These are going to print so I need them to be sharp. Is there any way to fix the issue?<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Has anyone been able to successfuly export a textured model from DAZ into Blender 2.8 without Diffeomorphic`s add-on? I`ve tried that for hours yesterday and got nothing. For what I have seen on&nbsp;his blog`s comment section, it is basically hit or miss, probably after the fact that it is tested primarily on&nbsp;his machines. Even if it worked, the fact that the whole add-on is presided by a single individual&nbsp;is also a problem, as he could drop it anytime. That aside, I have also tried Collada and&nbsp;Autodesk FBX with a few different settings. I got close with FBX, but it still yielded a spagetti-like arm and slightly offset elements of the pose, along with blank eyes. By this point, I could settle for simply transfering the mesh and textures without any bones. I am also not interested in animation as of now.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi All,&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;m trying to import my clothing to Daz from Marvelous Designer &nbsp;but the textures have all gone I tend not to use it too much but I colour code items so when I get them into daz it&#39;s easier. Now the whole suit is just white!&nbsp;It just suddenly stopped exporting the textures. I&#39;m so frustrated, the Marvelous Designer &nbsp;website is totally useless now. The forum has gone but for four posts. It&#39;s just insane. It&#39;s never been good but it did work. What a time to do a major overhaul?!!!</p>

<p>Well, my main question was the grainline? If I want to change the direction of the &#39;grain&#39; I turn the pattern in the UV but I noticed that weird double hook thing and discovered it was grainline but the help over at MD, as I think I might have mentioned is terrible. How do I use it?&nbsp;</p>

<p>The texture thing is annoying but, not the end of the world. I&#39;m sure it&#39;s glitching but I did restart.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m trying to export G8F&#39;s mesh to create a custom morph with Blender, but something seems to be wrong with my export settings and I&#39;m not sure what.</p>

<p>I set the mesh resolution to &quot;base&quot; and the subsurfing to zero, then went to file&gt;export and used the default Blender export settings. I wanted to makes sure I had the settings right before working on the mesh, so I immediately opened a new document,&nbsp;reloaded G8F, and tried to load the OBJ I&#39;d just exported in with morph loader pro. Apparently something is wrong with my settings because the dialogue box said&nbsp;that the geometry, which I hadn&#39;t even opened in another program yet, didn&#39;t match.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve attached screen shots, can anybody tell me what settings I need to adjust?</p>

<p>I have googled all day and I am at the end of my tether. I have the PostgreSQL warning everytime I start the app. The various menus are blank. There seems to be dozens of suggestions scattered around the whole of the internet.</p>

<p>But the &#39;solution&#39; I want to try now is to uninstall Daz. However, I cannot even do that because it doesnt exist in my uninstall options.</p>

<p>The help I require is...... what is the FINAL solution to the postgresql problem. Or what is the FINAL solution to unistalling DAZ.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I haven&#39;t seen anyone else with this issue, so I probably did something wrong. I&#39;m working with Studio 4.12, which I downloaded after a messy complication with my system. I&#39;d backed up all my files so I thought a simple drag and drop would be fine after I reintalled Daz. I did make the mistake before the drag and drop to reinstall the starter stuff from DIM. Anyway, I reconfigured the pathways to the correct files, and all seemed well. This was on 4-20 (no, I wasn&#39;t high&nbsp;<img alt="cheeky" src="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/tongue_smile.png" title="cheeky" />).</p>

<p>Things have been working mostly okay except that when I try to apply some poses or shapes, even add props, I get a prompt asking if I want to save the scene before closing it. This is only sometimes&nbsp;and it&#39;s only in Smart Content. I find the files on my hard-drive and merge them into the scene (merge by right-clicking the item icon doesn&#39;t work; file not found or something like that), which works fine. It&#39;s silly, and a waste of time.&nbsp;<span>The figures I&#39;ve been working with are GF8 and GM8.</span></p>

<p>I was thinking about just doing a total reinstall of metadata. But before I did that (time consuming), I wanted to see if the community had ever heard of anything like this. Any thoughts?</p>

<p>And wanna make it reversed somehow, that I can make a scene in a room, and that script/node thing, let the camera rotate 360&deg; through the room and not rotate the object, is that somehow possible?</p>

<p>That is the animation node, it &quot;dances&quot; on point, so... how do I let it spin a camera in a big angle around itself... like a selfie stick connected to it.</p>

<p>Also ANOTHER question *hype* about animations... a very hardware related questions, where I hope that Our Forum Lord Richard can answer it ^_^, I have now a RTX2070 Super, she is... &quot;okay&quot; for daz3d, still slow, a 4K render takes ~1Hour (okay my old gtx1060 OR i5cpu, did take 10hours for 1440p.... fugg it!) but the quesiton is, if I install another RTX2070 super with same Vram indeed, and the scene does fit into the 8GB, does that double the render speed? So I can make faster Animations?</p>

<p>I wanna upgrade the experience for my customers, I for myself can rotate the scene around in daz3d^^, but they can&#39;t ;) (and I will not give them my scenefiles O_O... its mine! and they still would need ALL the products... and a crazy strong PC to even use a iray preview, my old pc was not able to make a good preview).</p>

<p>sorry too long!</p>

<p><em><strong>TL;DR</strong></em> If I use 2x a RTX2070 onstead of 1, (scene is not over 8GB, then it goes anyway on CPU), will it double the renderspeed because it use the cuda power of both cards?</p>

<p>Copying &amp; Pasting the surface materials doesn&#39;t work because this action does not load any new or additional channels.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Is there a good way to get the channels and the settings for each copied?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Okay, a got a pair of speedos, and the issue that I am having with this is the textures.<br />
As you can see the texture is actually flipped/reversed, does anyone got an idea why would that be happening?<br />
I tried it in Blender and ZBrush it works total fine. Only in DazStudio the texture is like this, not just this one all the other I added in.<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve exported a G8 figure as an obj file at base resolution, and imported it into Hexagon in order to create a morph. I&#39;ve selected the displacement brush tool, and... nothing.</p>

<p>1st, the tool properties panel is blank, so there are no adjustments I can make regarding size or strength. 2nd, the tool doesn&#39;t interact with the figure. How do I activate this tool?</p>

<p>This is essentially my first time with Hexagon. I don&#39;t see anything in the documentation, and online tutorials blow past setting up the tool as if it can be taken for granted. I&#39;m sure it&#39;s simple but nothing I&#39;ve clicked on is of help.</p>

<p>Any idea what setting might have got moved during the install?&nbsp; I&#39;m afraid I haven&#39;t a clue.</p>

<p>I thought I bought some HD textures and morphs for Genesis 8 but I can&#39;t seem to locate them.</p>

<p>Is there a Genesis 8 skin upgrade?</p>

<p>I don&#39;t mean skin from another character but HD skin made specifically for&nbsp;Genesis 8.</p>

<p>A lot of characters have HD dials that accompany the other dial&nbsp;for a character, how do I&nbsp;get an HD dial&nbsp;for Genesis 8?</p>

<p>I turn up&nbsp;the HD dial and not much seems to happen to Genesis 8.</p>

<p>I assume the HD dials for other characters also work for&nbsp;Genesis 8&nbsp;but I was wondering if there is an HD dial designed specifically for Genesis 8?</p>

<p>Oh, and the ear thing for&nbsp;Genesis 8, how do I&nbsp;make them rounder?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a model I&#39;m building in Lightwave with lets say two parts.</p>

<p>Export obj, import obj in DS, add textures, save as/ support object/ figure or prop. DS writes the data and Duf.</p>

<p>The part shows up in my content and it is called &#39;PART 1&#39;</p>

<p>Now I want to update, change the model a little bit in Lightwave.</p>

<p>Make changes, export obj...all the same steps.</p>

<p>The real test&nbsp; is opening up the newly written over duf in my&nbsp;content folder.</p>

<p>Part one updates just fine, I see the updated geometry.</p>

<p>All the same steps with part two.</p>

<p>But part two will not update no matter what I do.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried to toss the item from the data folder and the content folder then save it again. It will not update.</p>

<p>Unless I rename the part to &#39;PART2a&#39;&nbsp; but that will mess up my scene subsets that these parts are already in.</p>

<p>Is this a bug or is there something that needs to be refreshed?</p>

<p>Is there some other place besides data that DS is storing info?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have so many camera presets from different products over the years so natually I often would like to use them in a scene. However when I do load a camera the default function is to replace existing cameras I have in the scene. I would like to change the default function so that I do not have to hold down the control Key while I load each one to avoid having my existing cameras replaced. twice now I have loaded 15 or 18 of the twenty cameras with the highlander set carefully using the control key to get more than one camera in the scene and then woops! I click the wrong button and all my cameras are gone! including cameras I created from scratch with different names! Surely there is some way to batch load cameras? It seems to me replacing existing camera would be more fitting as an exception than the rule.</p>

<p>A while ago I accidentally saved a character as an asset. When I noticed what I&#39;d done I deleted the asset file and thought nothing of it until I loaded a new G8M. I now get this error:</p>

<p>&quot;data/daz 3d/noel/noel/genesis8male.dsf&quot;</p>

<p>It&#39;s not the end of the world but I can&#39;t help feeling it takes longer now to load G8M and not being able to fix it grates on me. What can I do?</p>

I know Apple has stoped supporting Nvidia Cards a standard or even a Apple uograde in their pro models BUT...&nbsp;<br />
Seems like Daz3d on MacOS is going to bne limited to Older OS versions and Older Macs Pros with Older Nvidia Cards and Older drivers. THis is a shrort term solution at best for Daz3d on Mac OS. As no one who is using Daz3d for any length of time is going to be satisfied with CPU only renders and Dforce simulations.&nbsp;<br />
