      <description><![CDATA[<p>NVIDIA GTX 1080Ti&nbsp;11GB (Studio Driver 430.86). Newest Daz Release (updated today). Disabled CPU Fallback. I have GPU-Z up. It shows plenty of GPU activity when I use Aux Viewport set to Iray, but when I start a full render it just won&#39;t work. Does anyone have any suggestions?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Copy all Joint Editor values for node from one figure to another</p>

<p>After making a morph for a G3F figure, the rigging for the hands and fingers got messed up. To fix it, I need to copy the pivot points and end points from the un-morphed copy of the figure to the morphed copy of the figure.</p>

<p>This is about 120 copy and paste operations!</p>

<p>Is there a way to bulk copy and paste joint editor values for a given node and it&rsquo;s children nodes?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve been using a&nbsp; 3 year old gaming laptop with a 1050ti and while the rest of my laptop has been fine for Daz (i7 7700HQ, 16GB Ram, 1TB SSD) the GPU is a major pain for the kind of renders I do, I definitely need more VRAM and the extra speed will be welcome too. I&#39;ve attached a screenshot of my proposed build put together at pcpartpicker. I want to build one based around an RTX 2070 Super with the capability of adding another 2070 Super by NVlink in the future for a combined 16GB VRAM, if I even decide to go that way after to 30XX cards are released.</p>

<p>It will only be used for Daz rendering, I&#39;m keeping my laptop for all other use. Therefore, I assume since my laptop has been perfectly fine for Daz, apart from the GPU, I won&#39;t need to splash out on expensive or the latest parts (although I am still upgrading from my current specs in almost every way) as long as they will not hold the GPU back from doing its thing. If this is incorrect assumption then I&#39;d like to know so I can change the build. I am trying to make this happen on a budget so I have to keep a cap on what I spend though.</p>

<p>The thing I&#39;m most unsure of is the motherboard, I&#39;ve checked this has a PCIe x16 lane, supports the RAM amount and speed, the ram is 3200mhz as I&#39;ve read AMD CPU&#39;s prefer that, however I have a feeling I&#39;m missing something else important I need to check? The CPU is a slight upgrade or maybe even equal to my current CPU, it has built in graphics and a cooler/fan so I&#39;m hoping that I can use the GPU in that for all other non-Daz/iray GPU requirements and monitor so I can save as much of the 2070 S VRAM as possible for just rendering. I&#39;ve read that you want to overshoot with your power supply but not by too much, power draw is approx 400w so I&#39;ve gone for a 600w PS. Once again, if I&#39;m risking damaging or throttling any other parts by buying the wrong part then please let me know, any and all feedback will be greatly appreciated as this is my first time building rather than buying a pre-built set up.</p>

<p>Many times I accidently hit the simulation Clear button, and all of my dForce items go back to their initial state.&nbsp; Since the undo button does nothing to fix this, I&#39;m forced to reload my scene again, which is frustrating, because it may take several minutes to load everything again.       <description><![CDATA[<p>I was using 4.10-4.12 for a little bit and I had everything set up the way that worked best for my system. Whenever I rendered in Iray, my GPU took over the process and my CPU barely went above 40% when the image was coming together. Now that 4.12.1 was released and installed, my performance has changed significantly. CPU is always 100% and my GPU doesn&#39;t do anything anymore. I tried to fix things back to where they were but I had no success. I didn&#39;t do much for the old config, just selected my GPU as the renderer. Render times are really slow now, what took 5 minutes now&nbsp;takes 20. Can anyone help my find the new best settings for 4.12.1? There is new stuff here that I need help with. Thanks in advance.</p>

<p>My computer is a i7 4.5ghz(6core 12thread), RTX 2060, 32GB RAM. It&#39;s a laptop so no room for upgrade. I did build a new render server that will need the new config settings too. That one is a Threadripper 2920x with a GTX 1080ti and 64GB RAM. I plan to use this one to offset my larger scenes while I work on the smaller ones on my laptop.</p>

<p>So here is the thing. DAZ makes my PC freeze. At the very beginning, before even render shows everything stops working. I can&#39;t even move my mouse. I decided to create a new thread but I saw that some ppl had the same problem as me.</p>

<p>I tried everything. Reinstall my whole nvidia drive, reinstall DAZ, turn off GPU/CPU process in advance render settings etc... nothing helped so far.</p>

<p>The funny thing is that even some scenes that I made already keeps crashing my system now.</p>

<p>Anyone have some ideas?<br />
My specs</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Only been doing this for two months, so please bear with me if this is addressed elsewhere. I gather that, if the scene is too complex (too many detailed characters, low lighting, too big, etc...) Then the GPU of a graphics card might not be able to handle it and the render defaults to the CPU. This has happened to me before. My question: Is there a way to tell how much MiB or MB your scene contains BEFORE you start rendering, and is the listed amount (4G, 8G, 16G) the actual amount of info each Graphic Card can handle or is there wiggle room? Knowing before hand would save a LOT of time!&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve been using Daz consistently&nbsp;for 7+ years and am an advanced user. But for some reason, since updating to 4.12.1.117, I&#39;ve had many problems. Even after triple-checking and resetting content paths and other settings, Daz continues to crash when saving or rendering (in other words, useless). SO... I uninstalled and reinstalled the application with DIM &ndash; now three times &ndash; to solve the issues. Unfortunately, each reinstall only makes the problems worse.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I believe it might be due to: <strong>1)</strong> not achieving full uninstall before re-installing, and <strong>2)</strong> DIM keeps placing various files in places on my computer that don&#39;t work with my configuration: My Daz 3D Library is 282 GB, and as a result resides on an external drive. This has never been a problem until updating to 4.12.1.117.</p>

<p>Today I went thoroughly through my entire computer deleting all Daz files and directories &ndash; so I am pretty certain ALL Daz files have been deleted. But I do not want to do yet another failed DIM install. I am trying to do a MANUAL install to bypass DIM, but it looks like the current option for installing is only through DIM. Does anyone know a link or anything that I can use to download 4.12.1.117 <strong>without using DIM</strong>? If so, I can&#39;t find it anywhere on daz3d.com.</p>

<p>I recently obtained Animate2, and have been following various (although limited) guides from Daz 3d and various other youtubers;&nbsp;creating and editing Aniblocks. The majority of these videos use multiple Sub Tracks with only the specific part they want to affect checked in the Part List of said Sub-Tracks properties. Aka only hands checked, or only the head.</p>

<p>However when trying to copy this my Sub-Tracks have&nbsp;half of their&nbsp;parts&nbsp;ticked but greyed out - I cannot figure out how to enable the ability to change&nbsp;all parts which makes this feature harder to use (screenshot included for clarity, backup link is&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="https://i.imgur.com/WIjaVyV.jpg" target="_blank">https://i.imgur.com/WIjaVyV.jpg</a>).</p>

<p>It seems there have been a few posts bringing up the same issue, but they only&nbsp;linked to a now dead website -gofigure3d-. So I make my first post to ask you all for your assistance and wisdom in this. For reference I am using g8f base, but have tried other figures to no avail.</p>

<p>The product pics dont show me the error, but I have holes in the texture.</p>

<p>I add Screenshots for infos, it have hidden Styles, because the jeans can be redesigned, even in the &quot;Zero apply&quot; style, is it broken.</p>

<p>It does not have a cutout map, I tested it on 2 G8F Chars and it have the problem at both. In the texture Shaded Version is it not there, so it is some Iray bug, maybe... graphiccard? Both chars don&#39;t have a geoshell active, which could cause it.</p>

<p>The texture did I shrinked, cutted and added some crazy stuff to make it hard to &quot;steal&quot;.</p>

<p>Would be glad on any advice, can someone reproduce this?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hey, I&#39;ve been trying to get into animating and heard that Cycles is pretty OK for render-times. An additional bonus is that apparently texture painting there is pretty good as well</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried dabbling around with Diffeomorphic&#39;s add-on as most of my stuff is from G3F. So far, it&#39;s been ok in importing some base models, but as soon as I include geografts into the mix, things start to get very very wonky. Parts of the geograft that should be hidden are vissible, meshes and skeletons don&#39;t merge. etc</p>

<p>I was wondering if anyone had any luck with bringing G3Fs into Blender with geografts, particularly anatomical elements.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello all, I&#39;m trying to geograft a head object to replace from the neck of a character.</p>

<p>While trying geografting this, I am in trouble with unable to find &quot;Set Graft Faces for Fitted Figure&quot; menu in Geometry editor.</p>

<p>All I can see is &quot;Set Graft Faces for Attachment&quot; - and feels like it&#39;s not doing the justice for it. I can see neck and head disappearing when attaching this replacement mesh, but this mesh doesn&#39;t follow figure&#39;s poses and etc.</p>

<p>Am I doing something wrong here? Thanks.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>You&#39;ve seen this kind of thread before... Sorry for that, but&nbsp;I am quite lost on what steps to take. My previous computer is&nbsp;a Macbook Pro where most of the content was manually installed. I want to transfer my stuff onto my new PC. I have 2 drives: an SSD 500Gb and an&nbsp;HDD 2Tb. I have 2 choices here, either I put everything on the second drive (HDD) or I put the Daz program on the SSD and the rest of the content on the HDD. Seriously, as I assume the performance difference between the two is quite minor,&nbsp;the easiest&nbsp;method the better as I am getting cancer fooling around this stuff. When this is out of the way, I also need to make my saved scenes load all assets correctly. I&#39;ve read about the user&#39;s data to export and import? What else am I not thinking about?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve been going through all my downloads from all the various places over the years and packaging them up to be installed via DIM.</p>

<p>Doing so has me scouring the web to find the promo images for each of these products to be included in the packaging. Whilst doing so, I noticed a freebie I had gotten over at RDNA was open for commercial and non-commercial use.</p>

<p>The freebie has since moved to rendo but the license there is non-commercial only. Do I have to follow the new license, or does my old one still hold?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>When animating, sometimes I will swap out figures during an animation, which I can do easily mid-render by keyframing &#39;visible in render&#39; but the model still sticks around in viewport which can cause a mess. I would ask that in the next revision that &#39;visible in viewport&#39; becomes a variable that can be keyed same as visible in render is able to be keyed.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am making an animation by hand in Daz studio, and I need to be able to render short sections of the animation so I can review them in REAL TIME to make sure they look good. I do not want to have to render full quality frames just to check the animation, I don&#39;t care about the quality of the render, and really, I don&#39;t care about textures. I just want to quickly render 30 frames so I can make sure my animation works visually. I have trued setting the render quality to interactive, but &quot;interactive&quot; apparently doesn&#39;t man viewport quality, as a single frame in interactive quality takes just as long as photographic quality. Animations do not run in real time in the viewport, and there doesn&#39;t seem to be a way to output quick test renders for animations, so how can I check my animations look good QUICKLY? Why isn&#39;t there a viewport quality render setting?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am buying a house model, and will be using the rooms for a 2d webcomic. The characters are fully 2d and drawn, so no human 3d models will be used. The rooms will contain furniture and other objects.</p>

<p>Will scene optimizer just allow me to render one room at a time efficiently? Or will I need to delete other parts of the house to efficiently render a room? Alternatively, should I &quot;hide&quot; parts of the house instead to spead up rendering time?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I have this pose:</p>

<p>And want the Kimino dropp correct on the couch and Pants, both collision objects got a static surface and I used memorized bone, but it still goes through it sometimes.</p>

<p>I use already the Best Algorythm and a slightly increased collision iteration handle and 48 iterations per Subframe (32 is standard),&nbsp; So why is it still ignoring the pants+couch at some points?</p>

<p>I want this knowledge mainly for my future work, I can/will this now adjust with meshgrabber, but growing dforce knowledge can help :)</p>

<p>If I have a decent (gamer-level) secondary computer on my local network... Is it a simple process to use that computer as a DS render server?</p>

<p>Is it as simple as ruinning DS on the secondary computer, setting it to listen mode, then sending the project files across the network? (I am familar with how to access a render server when I am sending assets to it, just not familar with what is involved in receiving those files.)</p>

<p>This is purely for my personal use. The secondary computer wouldn&#39;t be available for users outside of the local network.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So I was able to render in iRAY before I updated Daz Studio.</p>

<p>Now when I hit render it goes really fast but renders a blank image. I saw on another solved post something about updating drivers (would have posted this there but they&#39;ve marked as solved - I&#39;m still having problems)...if I knew this was necessary I wouldn&#39;t have updated Daz. Because the update didn&#39;t make any difference to me as far as I can tell except for stopping me from rendering in iRAY (3Delight still works). I would appreciate if a driver update or any update/minimum hardware, etc. is required that it would notify you with a warning dialog before allowing you to download and install an update so you are at least aware of the situation.</p>

<p>I have no idea what the current nVidia driver is or which one to update? I have quite a few (6) with that name in it. And I don&#39;t know how to update it, when I check for updates it doesn&#39;t show there are any available.</p>

<p>And when I look online they strongly recommned NOT updating nvidia driver unless you REALLY need to because your hardware could be too old to keep up. Again I have no idea how to check this.</p>

<p>I&#39;m at a loss at what to do. I know certain materials are designed for iRay and not 3delight and daz seems to be moving away from 3delight so I&#39;d like to have this working if possible (though as a plus 3delight actually seems to render a lot faster than iRay for me). Any help on how to best fix this would be appreciated. And if someone can confirm if it is actually the driver causing this problem or not would also be helpful.</p>
