      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi -- I wonder if anyone has had the same problem? I just got the Bend of the River Seasons expansion pack for the Bend of the River set. It loads just fine, and Winter will render, with full lighting set ... until you turn on the grasses and foliage. Then, as soon as the render begins Studio crashes. This is so disappointing to me, because this is something&nbsp;I had really wanted. Has anyone had this happen, and solved the problem??? Thanks.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I just purchased two environments from Digitallab3d, <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/orbit-apartment">Orbit Apartment</a>&nbsp;and <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/freakshow-tent">Freakshow Tent</a>, and they both seem to have problems / glitches that aren&#39;t present in the promo images. Since I can&#39;t find a direct contact for Digitallab3d, I figured I ask about it here.</p>

<p>The problem with &quot;Orbit Apartment&quot; is that the blanket intersects the bed, and there aren&#39;t any morphs (as far as I can tell) to correct the issue:</p>

Instead of going directly to the output screen, the interface pops up an open file window to save the non-exsiting render. Then, after the render &#39;finishes&#39;, the engine crashes, the image is not saved or visible and no sign of the rendered process is detected. Was there a recent hack into the server(s)?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am having a hard time searching this, probably using the wrong terms. If it has been discussed before, I am sorry, but I could be pointed in the right direction. Here is what I want to do. I have seen models that are manipulating more than one object. Example: Under Properties,&nbsp;Pose Controls,&nbsp;there can be sliders to manipulate objects. When the slider is used, two doors rotate and a gear or something will translate down. Three separate objects being controlled by one slider. I looked up Pose Controls and it pulls up only creating poses for a figure. Please, if someone could point me in the right direction to learn this. Thank you.</p>

<p>I am working on scenes inside Airport Island City. &nbsp;I have had no problems with renders so far. &nbsp; I am using G3F and V7 figures. The render settings are Default.</p>

<p>Over the last week or so, my renders have dark sclera. &nbsp;The figures look fine when in Texture draw style. But as soon as I select NVIDIA, the figure&#39;s slera darken. &nbsp;This only happens when I insert a figure inside the Airport Island City. When I load the character and it is not placed inside the City, the render looks fine. However, once a figure is loaded into the Airport Island City environment, the figure&#39;s sclera darken. The figure&#39;s sclera remain dark then even after I delete the City from the scene.&nbsp;When I load the figure onto West Park, the problem does not occur.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The problem occurs with a background and without. The lighting does not make a difference.</p>

<p>If anyone has suggestions or ideas, please post. &nbsp;I don&#39;t understand why this is happening now, when I have been using Airport Island for quite a while.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I have a problem with my Goeshells no longer covering the surfaces from the geografts on my figure, only the elements from the base figure.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It worked correctly until some time ago (some days ago max) so I&#39;m thinking I may have changed a setting mistakenly (though I have no recollection of doing so).</p>

<p>It also feels like the problem comes from Daz itself rather than the specific content since it happens on every figure I try it on, and even older saved scenes are suffering from the same problem.</p>

<p>Do you guys have an idea of what might be happening ?</p>

<p>For a while I have this now, and I am curious if I can turn it off or not. The problem is when I load in a new character into the scene, Xia Mei body and head morph get applied to any 8.1 character on top of the normal base morph. Any idea why is it like this? I added an attachment where I tried to load in &quot;Coral 8.1 Human HD&quot; model, and got the X&quot;iao Mei&quot; morph as well for some reason.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>This morning Daz IM stopped seeing my older files in the Library.&nbsp; &nbsp;It lets me install and remove new content but doesn&#39;t see any of the previous library information.&nbsp; &nbsp;Along with rebooting I&#39;ve done a number of things:</p>

<p>1) Daz sees my older files and they work fine.<br />
2) New content I install via IM shows up in my Library (verifying it&#39;s pointed to the correct location)<br />
3) I can uninstall new content via IM and it&#39;s removed from my Library.<br />
4) I&#39;ve uninstalled and re-installed PostgreSQL CMS but no change<br />
5) I&#39;ve run DB Maintenance within Daz:&nbsp; &quot;Process Metadata Queue&quot; and &quot;Re-Import Metadata&quot;<br />
6) Verified the CMS port number (17237) is the same in both DAZ and IM<br />
7) Finally I&#39;ve downloaded and installed the latest version of IM&nbsp; (I didn&#39;t uninstall the previous version though)</p>

<p>It seems everything is working fine with the exception of IM not being able to view all of the fiels I&#39;ve loaded prior to this morning.&nbsp; &nbsp;I&#39;ve also checked the log file from IM and I can see where it suddenly showed that I only have 1 installed file when 2 minutes earlier I had over 2 thousand. No error was recorded in the log.</p>

<p>Does anybody know of any way to get Install Manager to scan the Daz Libray and recognize the files that it uploaded previously?&nbsp; &nbsp;I&#39;d like to avoid having to reinstall my entire library if possible.&nbsp; &nbsp;:D</p>

<p>Assuming that I like certain character shapes from previous generations of Genesis, and I want to transfer them to G8 while keeping the base topography of those shapes, is there a way to convert clone shapes&nbsp;into proper morphs? I&#39;m aware of the character converters available on the Daz store, but unfortunately these won&#39;t really work, as they only apply to character presets and not shaping presets.&nbsp;I&#39;m interested in this topic because I&nbsp;thought it would be nice to have a solid&nbsp;reference for the figure&#39;s topography, that could be split into regions (head, torso, arms, etc).</p>

<p>If there is a way to achieve this, it&#39;s probably extremely complicated. I&#39;d much appreciate any simple workarounds available.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m working on a scene with AM&#39;s mouse, I have two of the mice in the scene. The fur on one of the mice doesn&#39;t stay attached to the model when posing. I move the leg, but the fur stays in place. However, the fur on the second mouse DOES move when I pose him. When I first loaded both mice in the scene, they both worked fine, but then the fur on one of the mice just stopped moving when I pose the model, and I don&#39;t know how to fix it. This problem with LAMH models has happened before. What causes the fur to become separated from the model? Is there any way to fix it and get the fur to start working correctly again?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I use frequently freebies or products from other vendor sites and I am trying to find a way to automatically add metadata to them by inspecting the asset directories.</p>

<p>Clearly defining categories is impossible to do automatically. For instance, finding that a poses should be &quot;By function/Kneeling&quot; or &quot;By Region/Full Body&quot; or a camisole (or whatever name the artist gives) &quot;Wardrobe/Shirt&quot; and not &quot;Wardrobe/Pant&quot;.</p>

<p>But some of the ContentType and Compatibility could probably be automatically generated.</p>

<p>I will only consider clothing and poses (that are the most useful for smart content IMHO), but hair (and maybe char) could be processed like clothing.</p>

<p>For poses, one can reasonnably consider that if we go through the directory hierarchy of a given asset starting at People/.../Poses, we can stop once we encounter a dir containing a &quot;.duf&quot; file and that all the &quot;.duf&quot; files below this directory will be poses with a&nbsp; compatibility derived from the path. For instance, if we find in People/Genesis X/Female/Poses/xx/yy/ files named file1.duf, zz/file2.duf and zz/file3.duf, file1.duf, file2.duf and file3.duf may be considered as poses with a compatibility of GenesisX/Female</p>

<p>Ditto for expressions.</p>

<p>For clothing, one could consider that if we go through the file hierarchy similarly starting at People/Genesis X/Female/Clothing, we can stop once we encounter a duf file and that all the &quot;.duf&quot; file in this directory will be &quot;Follower&quot;s with the Genesis X/Female compatibility. It is probably impossible to be more precise for follower and processing materials also is almost impossible. (How to know that a preset applies to the top and not the shoes? or that it is iray or 3DL?)</p>

<p>But with these restrictions, I have the feeling that this kind of information can be generated automatically and that the classification should be successful at least 90% of the time (successful in the sens that, the classification will be very partial of course and some items may be missed, but at least it will be correct for the .duf files that are classified).</p>

<p>What is your opinion? Am I missing some important point? How useful would be this partial generation of metada and what would smart content do with it? Could it be improved?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello. Sorry my english. A mouse click on the timeline, in the zone marked in the screenshot, freezes the PC. Ctrl+alt+delete unfreezes the pc until the next click. During freezing, daz3d fully loads one processor core. The complexity of the scene does not affect the frequency of this bug in any way, the scene may be empty. The PC hardware is hardly to blame(1080ti, 32gb ram, i7-8700K). Windows 10 is the latest update, the drivers have been updated for everything.&nbsp;The error does not always occur. But it occurs more often than not.&nbsp;I tried to wait a long time, it doesn&#39;t help.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m able to export Zbrush meshes, along with polypainted textures, into Daz.&nbsp; I use ZBrush&#39;s UVMaster to create UVs, create a texture from polypaint, import the .OBJ and texture maps.&nbsp; The UV islands generated by UVMaster aren&#39;t fabulous, and I&#39;d be interested in advice on how to improve them, but that&#39;s not why I&#39;m writing.</p>

<p>I&#39;m interested in also exporting the materials I use in ZBrush, like metallic or clay surfaces.&nbsp; I found a tutorial that suggested generating a displacement map from the mesh, then applying that map to a simple Plane3D, then applying the relevant Material to the plane.&nbsp; So I tried it with a metallic material.&nbsp; That did create an interesting, shiny displacement map that seemed to follow my UV coordinates.&nbsp; But when I use the map in Daz, as either a Displacement or Bump map, nothing happens.&nbsp; When I put it in as a Normal map, I get some odd noise but nothing much of interest.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any advice on all this?&nbsp; Is it simpler just to use Daz&#39;s surface shaders for this sort of thing?&nbsp; Or should I be investing in Substance Painter or some such?&nbsp; I&#39;d also be interested in advice on creating cleaner UV islands.&nbsp; Thanks in advance.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So I found out a long time ago about the whole &quot;ALT and click and drag to place a prop/figure to a specific spot&quot;. It was great when I could use it, but after updating Daz one tmie, the feature never worked again. Normally, I don&#39;t mind this at all. I&#39;ve worked without it all this time. Now though, my scene is way too large to try and drag them using the parameters tab to where they need to be. I could just manuualy input the XYZ cordinates, but I&#39;d really like to go back to just using the ALT to solve my problems again.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I did try to restart the computer, that has never helped. Nor has restarting Daz. Someone else said go and locate it in the keyboard settings under workspace and customize, I cannot find it for the life of me. So as of right now, when I do try to ALT and click and drag, it just acts as though I&#39;m selecting multiple products and highlights them in yellow.&nbsp;</p>

<p>2. opened window &#39;figure setup&#39;</p>

<p>3.add geometry (lets me select an obj)</p>

<p>4... this is what I get, how do I fix it so that I can adjust the import options?</p>

<p>Cursor has the constant circle loading in bg with the arrow, going to edges of the import window does NOT show resize arrow, and trying leads to nothing. Cancel and try again leads to same result.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>It lets me download dim. I can work offline. But the moment I enter my password it closes. When I launch it again it asks for a password and closes. I&#39;ve reinstalled it, and turned off user account control.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The password works fine on the site. Not sure what the problem is.</p>
