      <description><![CDATA[<p>Does someone know why this happens? Whenever I lock a node so that a pose doesn't alter the scaling or morphs or the like, I have a problem when I unlock it: the Max Limit of the item changes from whatever it was to the number 1e+07%. Now 1 times 10 to the seventh power, or ten million, is an awful lot of scaling percent, so I would like it to remain what it was, which was usually in the area of 150, or 200%.</p>

<p>Anyone have an idea as to what fixes this?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I bought wet body before,,  there are several specular map texture,</p>

<p>Full body specular map texture for V4 and,, and each body part sweat texture (which can use wit LIE editor as Layer,, )</p>

<p>I can use all these texture about genesis applied V4 texture. with V4 uv set.</p>

<p>but I hope to use these specular map to use about genesis applied V5  or M5,, or S5 texture.<br />
about part body sweat are can adjust (because it is layer,,)  on the base V5 texture,,<br />
but all part body specular texture can not fit on V5 texture.. </p>

<p>so ,, if I can modify  each V4 specular map texture (tif) fit to V5 uv map template,,<br />
I think,, every preset can ues for genesis with V5 texture. <br />
maybe I think,, it can do by gimp pr photo shop,, </p>

<p>but,, actually,, I can not  change well  the texture it can fit V5 uv map template layer^^;<br />
(I am not used to these tools at all ^^;  )</p>

<p>so is theare any simple help , or if there is product,, the texture of V5 or S5 change to fit <br />
V4 uv map,, I think. (it may can use about every UV map,,)</p>

<p>I know some product tool,, texture convertor,, but there seems no template,,<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have narrowed down the problem and can duplicate it easily.   </p>

<p>DS4.5.1.6 32-bit is what I am running.  </p>

<p>When I put Genesis Bikini Bottom in a scene (on a figure and by itself) I get:</p>

<p>"Duplicate ids found while reading the file, see log file for more details".</p>

<p>Question 1:  Where is the log file I need to see?  (which might make the next two questions moot, if I knew/could remember where to look).  </p>

<p>Question 2:  Will the log really tell me anything?</p>

<p>Question 3:  Anyone here have any helpful insight on this message?</p>

<p>The message also pops up when I re-open an image with the Bikini Bottom in the scene (well when on a figure - haven't just saved the scene with the bikini only in the scene - but if I were to bet....  :smirk:)</p>

<p>The model does load, seems to work when on a figure, posing, changing textures, etc.  So, it's not really causing issues.  But I hate to see any kind of 'error messages'.</p>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I'm using Poser 7 with its last update for rendering (I can't for the life of me figure out Daz Studio, and I don't have the money to afford the newest Poser product), and while it's lasted fine for me, I've recently had an issue with the texture and color that is really odd; whenever I try to manually alter the texture or color of a texture for any content, and then render the scene, I invariably get a pinkish hue from the altered texture. It happens regardless of which color I choose, which texture I choose, or which model I use. I'm at my wits end with how to fix it, and I'd like some suggestions on how I can fix this.       <description><![CDATA[<p>It seems that since I've updated to 4.5 (both versions...114 and 137), it takes forever to get Studio open.  it is measured in minutes...it varies, but is most often around 2.  There is also a fair amount of drive activity at the same time.  It's as if CMS is doing a complete scan every time I start.  </p>

<p>If this is the case, is there a way to tame CMS.</p>

<p>I run in Linux, under WINE...</p>

<p>Also, CMS starts and stops when I open Studio.</p>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>O.k, I might be missing something, here, but I do not know how to use the navigation controls in DAZ studio 4.  In order for me to move my model, I have to put my mouse pointer on the movement icon that looks like a cross and keep the left mouse button down and drag about a quarter inch before the model will stop moving and my pointer is off the cross thing. I then need to do this again and again to move my model side to side or up and down small increments at a time. I watched some training a on you tube and see that some how effortlessly the model can be moved just by touching the cross navigational icon an then just drag the model anywhere with the mouse.  So what is the trick? Is there a special mouse that I need to be using?</p>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Mine and Fuseling's current project has a scarf with a fringe.  I export the scarf from blender with normals pointed out.  I use transfer utility to copy rigging from Blender.  I test-render.  The normals are stll facing the right way.  Then I save to library.  When I reload from library the normals are flipped so that the fringe renders black under UE lights.  </p>

<p><br />
If I try flipping the normals before I export, they don't flip back to normal on save, they stay wrong.</p>

<p><br />
If I just flip one set of them before I export, they all flip to wrong again.  Studio stubbornly refuses to save the normals pointed forward away from Genesis.</p>

<p><br />
Is there a fix for this that won't require me to bork the vert order?  The morphs are already done.</p>]]></description>

   I had this problem a little ways back , then it was fixed for a week or so and now its back. The problem is when I download one of the zip style products I get the following error message when I try to unzip it "Cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive". I download zipped files from RENDO,RDNA and others and do not have this problem. Was wondering if it was being looked at? I am using IE7. I tried upgrading to IE8 but that did not fix the issue so I went back to 7, I just like it better. A few weeks past when this first started I called DAZ tech services and the technician ended up sending me the file vis email. We did notice that the file size he had was a slight bit larger then the one I downloaded so something was not being downloaded when I tried. Any help would be greatly appreciated.</p>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi all.</p>

<p>I'm using DAZ Studio 4.5, Win Seven Home Premium 64 and a graphics card ATI 5770.</p>

<p>Recently I created some smart props combining some basic shapes, exporting in obj, re-importing into the scene and finally saving them as props.</p>

<p>To create symmetrical objects, i.e. a pair of earrings or bracelets, I pick the left one, duplicate it, apply scale x = -100% and voilà.</p>

<p>The problem is that <strong>all the objects with x-scalling -100% are rendered totally black</strong>, no matter which and how many lights I'm using. They're black even if I render them with the "system" lighting.</p>

<p>I'm using the software 3Delight engine.</p>

<p>Is there a way to solve the problem?<br />

<p>Bought <strong>The Wisteria Pool House </strong> and according to the product file <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.daz3d.com/shop/the-wisteria-pool-house">http://www.daz3d.com/shop/the-wisteria-pool-house</a> there shall be DS material, but when I got the product I only got the Poser files - 14991_WisteriaPoolHouse_1.0_dpc.exe - PC</p>

<p>I've tried to reset the download, there's still only one file, and no DS files within that one. <br />
Unfortunately this is one of these products lacking readme's and file content description, so there's no way to tell what was supposed to be included only that the product page tells that there should be DS files available. </p>

<p>Now, do anyone know if this is the case or if there's only poser files with this product.</p>]]></description>

<p>A week ago i downloaded content from ShareCG.com called Victoria 5.1, after installing (by coppying the files in place) all models (including the default genesis model) had boobs and very large pointed nipples. </p>

<p>It took me some time to find the problem. I found it  In the Parameters  / Actors pannel. There was a controll added called V5.1. This controll got to max at all  load or merge of a model.</p>

<p>I had a look at te original downloaded files to find witch files where added with this content, and deleted them from the folowing paths</p>

<p>\My Library\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis\Base\Morphs\Marcius Hess (delete folder Marcius Hess)</p>

<p>\My Library\People\Genesis\Characters\Marcius Hess\  (delete folder Marcius Hess)</p>

<p>Today i found the same content  package on ShareCG under the name of Genesis 5.1, </p>

<p>When adding, the files land on the most un-logical places possible. At the moment I have several texture's for witch i cannot find the uv's<br />
and uv's for witch i cannot find the textures. </p>

<p>Suppliers using random naming conventions for folders and files does not help !!!!</p>

when the pose preset is apply'd.</p>

<p>For example when applying a pose to genesis, the victori5 morph controll also go's to max, also when it is a male figure ??!!!</p>

<p>Is there a way to clean up / edit this pose presets so that i can remove the morph settings.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>My video drivers crashed last night and ever since I've been getting these draw errors in DAZ (and also in Blender, so it's not a DAZ problem) in the viewport. The meshes are actually fine and render normally so it's only a display problem (I say only!). I reinstalled video drivers, etc. (it's an Nvidia Quadro 400 card). I've opened a support ticket with my system supplier as I'm suspecting it's a hardware issue, but I just thought I would ask here too, in case anyone had ever seen this before.</p>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, does anyone know...</p>

<p>I'm looking for a way to group sliders in the shaping tab; or, slider groups in general, I suppose. Is there a way to group some sliders under my own heading, for convenience sake in gathering most-used morphs in one convenient place?</p>

<p>After adding several morph products with extensive sliders in shaping, i realized that my shaping list is getting way too long to work with easily, having to scroll back and forth through an ever-lengthening list of options to find what I need.</p>

<p>Some products seem to group their morphs under a heading at install, but some just add a great long list to my existing too-long-already one.</p>

<p>Also, after uninstalling a product, 13168 FemTouchGen, which seemed to uninstall correctly, i.e.the uninstaller initiated and reported no errors or problems, the sliders remained in the shaping tab, sans the image that had been superimposed on the slider, and they still functioned, applying the morphs. So, a bungled uninstall, but how to get those sliders off.</p>

<p>Any ideas?</p>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>When I try to run tasks that open a new window (Reality, SendInTheClones, etc), the window is too large and I can't reach some of the buttons at the bottom. Moving my taskbar doesn't work, nor does hiding it. I can't resize the window (the option is grayed out if I right-click on the top left corner, and I can't reach the bottom left corner at all), I can't drag it up to reach the buttons (it auto snaps back into place), and changing my screen resolution hasn't done anything either (wide or full, there's no difference). I can usually just reach the top of the button I need (such as for Reality), but for others, I have no access to any of the options at the bottom at all.</p>

<p>Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestion for solutions? I couldn't find anything on it anywhere else...</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>When I upgraded to Windows 8 I probably made a mistake somewhere and the CMS service didn't make it. I can't see it in the services console and I can't start it from the start menu. So I think I need to reinstall the CMS service.<br />
I know installing CMS will also create a full new database - This I don't want since my database is valid and it contains days of categorizing work.<br />
Can I backup my database folder, reinstall CMS and then simply restore the backup database folder?</p>]]></description>

<p>I've upgraded to Poser 9 and have installed the V4 Morphkit by Netherworks.</p>

<p>However when applying a magnet and using the Python scripts window provided (clicking on any of the buttons) I get the following error message - </p>

<p>NULL (or empty) script name passed to PEPythonEngine::DoScript()</p>

<p><br />
I can use the buttons by going to: Scripts, Netherworks, Clothing Morphkit 3 and these all work.</p>

<p>Does anyone know why this would be happening? It's doing it on both my PC and Laptop.</p>

<p>I've also updated my Poser 9 to SR3 and that doesn't help it.</p>

<p>Specs - Running Poser 9 on Windows 7 -  64bit </p>

<p>Really hoping someone can shed some light.</p>

<p>I get so confused on how to match Daz Studio products up with each other.</p>

<p>I love Genesis but I want to use a lot of the older stuff because equal products are not available for it (or perhaps this is my bad perception of things).</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I had posted this in the members forum but hadn't received any replies yet so I thought I might check here as well.<br />
As much as I have dabbled off and on with Studio and Poser the last several years (and as much as I've spent! lol) I have yet to really use shaders at all. I have what seem to be some really god ones but no clue how to make use of them.</p>

<p>Does anyone know of any good start from basic shader tutorials? I found some on the daz info but it was rather limited. One of the main ones I am trying to use is "PWtoon". According to the Product Page it has been updated to 4.5 so I DL’d the newest copy and have been trying to figure out how to get the b&amp;w outline option shown in the examples. Others are "PWGhost" and "Real Paint for DAZ Studio" by: DzFire.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello-</p>

<p>I'm trying to rig a floor length Bridal Veil.  It also has a bit of a train.  But, what rigging strategies make sense here?  What needs to be considered in choosing one?</p>

<p>Should it be a conforming item?</p>

<p>I've tried rigging it roughly based on the old conforming V3 Dress Headpiece, with handles, but it has some trick around the neck that I can't seem to fathom.  That is, the Dress Headpiece has a neck bone, but no assigned Neck Group.  I have added my neck group to a Veil group, but it still distorts around what seems to be a hidden neck group.</p>

<p>It's getting confusing and messy.</p>

<p>I have both D/S3 advanced and D/S4Pro.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello-</p>

<p>I had rigged a dress and added a few adjustment morphs via the Hexagon bridge.  I inserted them into the dress as Morphs/ Imported.  Unfortunately, I did not realize that the morph names should not have spaces. :shut:</p>

<p>When I exported to CR2, a pop up informed me that it would adjust the names by inserting underscores where the spaces were.  </p>

<p>When loading the new dress CR2, however, no more Imported/Morphs!  Missing in action! </p>

<p>I opened the CR2 in a text editor, and the morphs are in there, properly corrected with the underscores, but, it just isn't  loading with them.</p>

<p>Does anybody know of a workaround for this problem?  I'd hate to have to start over!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>When loading this character for Genesis, I get a message saying that a dsf is missing from a /data/Michelle/ directory.</p>

<p>When trying to load the cat hair, I get a similar message and all it loads is a cylindrical primitive on the figure's head!</p>

<p>Can anyone shed any light on this for me?</p>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I've been racking my brain, but I think I've tried virtually everything I can without digging deeper into program files than I feel comfortable going.  I had a few thoughts, like trying to update my Python core, but I'm afraid that the few ideas I have left might create other problems.  I know next to nothing about the internal workings of Poser and DS.</p>

<p>Even after re-installing 64-bit DSON (to C:\Program Files\Smith Micro\Poser Pro 2012) after the recent update and making sure my C++ was up to date, I’m still getting this error.  The funny thing is, I’m trying to run 64-bit DSON in 64-bit PP12 on a 64-bit Windows 7 machine with Visual C++ 2010 (along with several other builds dating back to 2005).  It’s 64-bit all the way, so it shouldn’t even be LOOKING for a Win32 program!  Plus, the message is printed not once but twice in the Python console window that appears when I load PP12, which is especially odd.</p>

<p>I'm suspicious that this might be related to another oddity which by itself hasn't been much of a problem, since I don't actually use DS very often.  Even though I'm running a 64-bit machine, 64-bit DS4 has never worked on my computer.  I always get this when I try to start it up: "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).  Click OK to close the application."  Even after I just installed the update (version 4.5), the same thing happened.  The 32-bit version, however, works fine.  </p>

<p>It's almost as if some parts of my computer are deluded into believing it's a 32-bit system or something!</p>

<p>I am eager to use Genesis, so I would really appreciate some serious tech support at this point.  It's starting to drive me mad, LOL!</p>
