      <description><![CDATA[<p>My Effortless Cool Sunglasses distort when I fit them to Genesis.(I tried with Genesis selected and then not selected, clicked "fit to") I uninstalled it, downloaded a fresh file and that didn't help. All the clothes, bracelets, pendant are fine. Only the sunglasses are a problem. I have DS 4.5.1.6 and EffortlessCoolGenesis_v1.1_trx.exe.  Does anyone else have this problem or know a way to fix it?</p>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello!  I recently got a new computer after a few years of having one incapable of 3D rendering.  Naturally, I was eager to get back to it, so I downloaded all my files from DAZ.  Today, I was trying to use the Leanan Sidhe Gazebo, but the program was unable to find the eg_base.obj, eg_canopy.obj, and eg_archcol.obj files.  I tried reinstalling, but they still aren't there and don't appear to be in the .zip file I downloaded from the website.  Is this an error or do they not exist?</p>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Daz4 Pro. Win7 64. 12G. Dell Precision T3500 Quadro. </p>

<p>Bought Daz a year ago with hopes to use Daz models in my other applications iClone Zbrush Lumion. I'm amazed at the fact that a year later, the same old export errors have not been fixed. Yes I've read the most recent relevant posts here. </p>

<p>I still can't export Obj without the no-texture problem. I still can't export Collada dae without that dreaded error message. So I tried exporting using FBX, and installed Autodesk convertor as a tedious workaround. Exporting FBX failed, turned out that I don't have the plug-in. </p>

<p>So I found the FBX plug-in and attempted install and guess what, the FBX plug-in "failed to find the install path". Yes I tried both 3.x 64bitwin and plain win versions. My Precision system is super stable.</p>

<p>After a year and another round of errors and fact-finding frenzy,<strong> I still cannot export Daz models</strong>. This is simply crazy. </p>

<p>To top all of the above, documentation on export settings (why those check boxes exist and what purpose) is non-existent. This means checking and unchecking 20 times ten thousand variables before you can be sure this method doesn't work. </p>

<p>Madness.</p>

<p>Please help. Please. Let me know this is not a waste of my money and time.</p>]]></description>

I'd like to submit a product and I've read carefully what had to be done to do that. <br />
But I need to understand specific requirements on the "numbers of characters" in filenames and in resources path, because maybe I'll have to rebuild all my runtime (not so long to do, but must be done very carefully - well let's say I'd prefer not rebuild it if it is not required -). I'm afraid I don't understand exactly what they mention concerning the number of characters. They say :<br />
"PLEASE make sure that the filenames do not exceed 30 characters in length (or they will not work on MAC's), and be sure that none of your resource path's are over 60 characters (or they will not work in Poser on a MAC)." It's on daz forum here : <br />

For filenames it is not a problem right now, I've already checked that.<br />
What I don't understand is what is the mean by in the "resource path"?<br />
1. Only the ones pointing to the jpg textures and obj files?<br />
2. Do they also include the path of the cr2, pz2 and dsa files?<br />
3. Does it also include the name of the file itself or only the path going to to the file?</p>

<p>Two examples to be sure of what I'm supposed to do:<br />
For instance for an obj I have : "Runtime\Geometries\V3D\M4MilitaryTeeShirts\M4MilitaryBasicTshirt.obj" which makes 68 characters if I count "M4MilitaryBasicTshirt.obj" in it, but only 43 characters if I exclude it from the character count. Should I consider it as OK or should I simplify the path and object name so that the full complete character count remains below 60. <br />
If it includes the filenames in the count I'll have to rebuild many paths and filenames!!! (I have approximately 300 references to cr2, dsa, pz2, jpg, and objs in the product... ouch!).</p>

<p>Second example, I have :"Runtime\libraries\Pose\V3D\M4UltimMilRBoots\03DAZBumpOptions\MuddyBootsCloseBump.pz2" 84 characters including the pz2 name, 60 excluding it. Is it considered as a resource path? (it is a pose file, not an obj or image one). Does the character limitation also apply?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Ok, here's the deal...is there an EASY way to nuke a weight map and start over..or at least paint negative/zero values?</p>

<p>I know I've seen something somewhere on here about it, but can't find it, now that I NEED it.</p>

<p>I'm working on this...and while I've gotten everything from the waist down to work well enough, I'm having trouble with shoulders/sleeves...and now I've made a real hash of the weight maps for those areas.  I've started over several times, but can't seem to find where the problem is originating...and no amount of 'additive' painting or smoothing seems to be helping.   (And as a side...setting the viewport to wire texture shaded makes the poly selection a thousand times easier....but it's still 'clunky'...I miss my 'circle select from Belnder....).</p>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi,<br />
I'm creating a smart prop for M4.  I bring in my OBJ file.  Apply the texture.  Move it to the right position. Parent it to M4. Then save it in the props file.  Asks me if I want to save it as a smart prop, and I say yes.</p>

<p>It is embedding all the geometry from the OBJ file, into the prop file.  I don't want this to happen, I want it to call on the obj file instead.  What am I missing in the save process, to prevent this from happening?</p>

<p>I am using Poser Pro (7.2).</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Colour me confused this morning when I poked my head in to look over the mesaage board and store and found ... no images.  A couple of Ctrl-F5s later I was fairly happy is was not my end, even if there was another post in the forums today where that was the answer.</p>

<p>The answer came down to my NoScript add-on for FireFox.  I had to unblock cloudfare.com to get images.  Looks like images have been offloaded to another site/server.</p>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I hope to change rig  of Karuki dress for genesis with some ghost bone.</p>

<p>now,, the " front roin" and "back roin" of the dress has been weight mapped to both thigh bone rotation.</p>

<p>it is useful usually,,,,  but there seems some problem,,.</p>

<p>if  right (or left) thigh  bend forward,, as if there is magnet,, the back roin(skirt?) stick to the thin bones and move foward too,,</p>

<p>so I hope,, when one of thigh bend foward,,only the forward roin move foward too, but back roin do  not move.<br />
 and when one of thighs bend back, the foward roin stay there,, only back roin to back with thigh rotation.</p>

<p> then,,  I planned to set two child ghost bones (parented plevis) F-mover and B-mover ,for both roin,<br />
 and weight map for ghost bones bend (of course I know,, it remove weight map from things ).</p>

<p>now Front roin  (vertices) rotate with F-mover, Back roin vertices rotate with B-mover.</p>

<p>next,, I need to ERC for thigh bones x rotation and ghost bones x rotation.</p>

<p> if just set ERC to one mover and one thigh bone with same step value.it seems easy,,</p>

<p>but I  hope to set ERC of both Thighs rotation to one mover,, <br />
so need to think both Thighs  negative and positive rotattion,,,<br />
and compair both Thigh rotation value,then pick up bigger value,,,</p>

<p> case1) lThigh bend Foward 30 (-30 Xrotation),  rThigh rotate Foward 15 (-15 Xrotation)<br />
 &gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;  F-mover  rotate -30 Xrotation.   (simply because,, 30&gt;15)</p>

<p> case2) lThigh bend Foward 30(-30 Xrotation) , rThigh bend Back 40 (40 Xrotation)<br />

<p>(now I may need not think about back-mover,, it is same,, if I can do about f-mover,,I can do it,,)</p>

<p>I thought I'd conquered the content structure in DAZ, but I got a really frustrating surprise today.</p>

<p>The last time I used DAZ STUDIO 4.5 was last week and I used the morphing content under the Shaping tab successfully (bodybuilder etc).</p>

<p>However on launching DAZ today to start on my next project I can't see any content under the Shaping tab, unless I click on the background, when I get "Genesis INJ", "Genesis REM" etc, but when I select the Genesis figure - nothing.</p>

<p>After trying to solve the problem by following a tutorial, ensuring i wasn't doing something obviously wrong I also noticed some sub menus missing on the right hand side, under Parameters. There is no Actor, Hidden or Pose Controls header. I really don't know if this is somehow linked. I have included a screenshot if it helps.</p>

<p>DAZ is proving to be a welcome addition to my workflow, however I spend so much time trying to find missing content I never produce any work.</p>

<p>Please help one frustrated artist.</p>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>...OK, since I began directly working with Genesis, GenerationX, and the Gen3/Gen4 body shapes I've been pretty content.  Until this morning.</p>

<p>Did an experiment fitting an A3 clothing set to my GenX Steph4/Leela   Fits went perfectly but since it was late I closed down and planned to render in the morning and post the results.  When I opened the file today the character loaded with the skin map all screwed up.  The character uses JW's Tindra Thompson skin map which is the closest in complexion to that of  the actual character. Until this morning it has loaded just fine every time I loaded the character or a scene with her.</p>

<p>So I am wondering, what is causing this to occur now? </p>

<p>I closed the scene and application &amp; restarted and reloaded the scene, but the issue still persists.</p>

<p>I tried to reload the UV Map but when I click on Load UV Set it leaves me in  the C:/Programme Flies/Daz3D/Studio4 folder and I have no idea where to go from there to find the UV map.</p>

<p>I am wondering if the "Duplicate ID" error that pops up when I load the scene might have something to do with this.</p>]]></description>

<p>When I pose a genesis figure (V5 supermodel) the Katumi dress  <a rel="nofollow" href="http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/14304/start">http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/14304/start</a>  adds strange 'armbands' to the lady, see pic below. Have anyone seen this and know what there is to be done?</p>

<p>The Katumi dress used to be sold by Bobbie25 but is apparently not for sale anymore. </p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi there. I just bought several hair products for Genesis, including Gregoria and Marja. Both look great. However, I am running into some strange deformation and clipping. This mostly seems to happen around the temples. Not sure why this is happening because most hair products I have purchased auto-fit to Genesis without this sort of thing.</p>

<p>    I have attached an example image.</p>

<p>I have spoken to the creator of the Gregoria hair, Mairy, and was told that it may be a problem with the hair inheriting certain face morphs from Genesis. I checked, and this does not seem to be the case. Any other ideas on how to fix this?</p>

Can anyone help make a NearMe morph for Genesis? There are already full body morph of Aiko 3 and Victoria 3 for Genesis but I can't find any for NearMe. I really want to use the full power of Genesis figure, like the auto fit and transfer utility, and after testing Aiko 3, Victoria 3 etc.. NearMe's shape is the best for my need.</p>

<p>I had trying for a month now but got no luck so if anyone can help that would be great.</p>]]></description>

<p> I cannot find a UV map to work off of, or figure out how to make my own.  </p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi everyone,</p>

<p>So, for various reasons that to this point have better fit my purposes, I have been running a version of Daz3d 3.  I have been needing new features recently, and have decided to move on to 4.5</p>

<p>I started this process as of yesterday, first by watching the over-views and stuff (the wider character variety is ultimately one of the biggest reasons I finally switched up) and went and reset my downloads in my daz3d accnt with the intention of moving into a new computer as well (in case I didn't like it after all, I still had the older program in my other computer).</p>

<p>And after resetting the downloads went ahead and started loading everything in from scratch.</p>

<p>The problem I am having are the daz zip file install packs.  </p>

<p>Where do I extract them to?  What file path?  The Libraries extension that is suggested is just not working as the content does not show up in the folders in the program.   I've gone in and manually assigned new locations where the files will show up in the program but then the file path is wrong and I have to manually search for the content myself to load it instead of just clicking on the picture.</p>

<p>A few things: the content I am talking about loads just by clicking on the picture in my other computer that is running an older version of DazStudio just fine.</p>

<p>It also seems the content I am struggling with is relatively older, as in Gen 3 content.</p>

<p>And also, I would rather not just copy the data base from one computer to the other as I haven't been installing alot of the content I didn't use on that system as to take up less space on this one.</p>

<p>If you have any ideas, I would love to hear them and really appreciate it.  I've been trying to do this now for over a day, and have literally gotten no where.  I hope it is something simple I am just missing.  </p>

I can get animation to carry over quite nicely to Cinema 4D, but none of the morphs seem to come with. I've heard mention of export rules but can't seem to get any changes to happen.       <description><![CDATA[<p>I like to categorize my older content in Daz 3 then import it into Daz 4. (Gen 4 stuff mostly, some poser stuff). I had put  a folder in the wrong place and went to drag it somewhere else and my finger slipped and it's disappeared. I've looked in all 'nearby' folders and can't find it. When I import Daz4 sees it in the same place it started in but I'd still like to find it in Daz 3 so I can move it where I wanted. Is there a way to do this?</p>

<p>Also, is there a way to do categories in Daz 4? I'd like to organize my Genesis content in a similar way to how I've done my G4 content.</p>]]></description>
