<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I&#39;ve been getting the&nbsp;warning above for a really long time just after I run the application. It does not seem to break anything, though. I mean, I can use the Studio normally to create scenes. But it still bugs me seeing that warning every time I open the application. This is happening in the latest stable version of Daz Studio (4.24.0.4). But I was getting the warning in previous versions as well.</p>

<p>While I can&#39;t recall the exact moment when I started to get that message, I suspect&nbsp;it all started after I changed some options regarding what the application loads upon launch.</p>

I&#39;m sorry if this question has already been posted but I didn&#39;t find the exact answer to my problem, or it did&#39;nt work.</p>

<p>I have a huge folder &quot;My DAZ 3D Library&quot; on my computer (Mac) and I would like to move it on my&nbsp;Synology NAS.<br />
So I have copied it and, following instructions I have read on this forum (or&nbsp;elsewhere) in&nbsp;changing&nbsp;directory folder in Content manager.<br />
After that, I rebuilt&nbsp;the database and restarted software but :<br />
- files are detected &gt; database is rebuilt<br />
- content panel shows white thumnails (oops)<br />
- can&#39;t use it : missing files (!)<br />
<br />
On a second time, I have tested the same protocol with another copy of this folder in another place, but on local folder (on my Mac).<br />
That&#39;s work !<br />
<br />
So, the problem seams to be the access to a network volume...<br />
Any solution ?&nbsp;​</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Recently, I&#39;ve noticed that it takes a very long time to load new characters into my scenes. After doing a bit of research, I found that this is likely due to the large number of morphs in my content library.</p>

<p>I&#39;m trying to clean up my morph list and uninstall unused morph packs, but I am having trouble telling which ones I am not currently using. I loaded all of my existing used characters into a single scene; is there an easy way to tell what products in my Genesis 9 morph library are not being used so that I can uninstall them with Daz Install Manager?</p>

<p>I&#39;m using genesis 9 and I want to do extreme gymnastic type legs bends, like with the legs up in line with the shoulders. What&#39;s the best method for correcting the inner thigh pelvis interface and the ballooning of the buttocks in these poses? I&#39;ve tried the natural bend morphs but this is beyond what they can do. I&#39;ve attached a pic of what I&#39;m talking about. Thank you</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m using 4.14 pro but this problem has been plaguing me for a while but it&#39;s gotten to the point where I can&#39;t work around it. Essentially I cant use the timeline, at all. If I load a figure then click on the timeline to change frames Daz crashes&nbsp;100% of the time. I&#39;m pretty sure it&#39;s a problem on my end, I&#39;m just not sure what. Everything else works fine but I just cannot touch the timeline...<br />
Edit: Solved the issue. Had a corrupt file. Not sure why it only affected the timeline but I&#39;m happy I fixed it.</p>

<p>&nbsp; I have a question, can someone point me to a short description/explanation of the various &quot;blend modes&quot; in the LIE editor ?</p>

<p>&nbsp; Specific interest, making something as a layer above another layer, withouth complety covering the layer below (the &quot;source over&quot; option), and without having to modify the layers so they have an alpha channel - I have already done that, and it works, but the idea is to really show something has having been put on top of something else, so covering but kind of adding up on top of what is already there in a way that covered yet not covered (tried the &quot;add&quot; in the LIE editor, but did not seem to do what I expected).</p>

<p>&nbsp; It&#39;s about putting some kind of skin/painting, on top of the character skin, and on top of a tattoo. For the tattoo, I have made it as layer with alpha and used the &quot;source over&quot; on the skin, and works fine (anyway the tattoo is meant to cove the skin below).</p>

<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;For that painting, I modified a texture that had the painting so I got the painting with alpha without the skin, and can put it on top of the skin I want and the rest, but I think it would look better if there was some way in which instead of the painting alone with alpha (which come out kind of too perfect, almost like if it was wall painting), I could use the skin that has the painting on top of the original skin, but without hiding what is below.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;I saw there is an &quot;opacity&quot; value for the layer, but I am afraid that would make kind of too uniform.</p>

<p>I fully realize that we all want the renders to complete as fast as they can. That said, we are trying to interact with DAZ Studio efficiently if we are adjusting surface settings.and want to see the results in real time.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I had to replace my machine.</p>

<p>I now have a 5xxx card so I have to use 6.25 for iRay rendering.</p>

<p>However the 4.24 that I need for my Add Ons and Script tools is showing a screwed up scrambled library.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>I tried rebuilding it and it crashed CMS and wouldn&#39;t load at all.&nbsp; Fortunately I had a backup so I could roll it back and restore over the really broken version.</p>

<p>Anyone have suggestions how to get everyone to play nice?</p>

<p>On my old system with my 3090 it worked fine co-existing.</p>

<p>I really need to use the Content Wizard to install stuff from other stores for smart content.&nbsp;</p>

Someone has created body stimuli using the genesis 8.1 basic male model (see attached) and I want to recreate these male models + create&nbsp;matching female models. The person has outlined their parameters in a document (see attached), however when I use those parameters my characters look way darker. Could this be due to the person using Daz Studio 4.22 and me using Daz Studio 4.24?<br />

<p>This is puzzling. I set the environment to have very low Environment lighting and then i add a Spotlight If i have the spot light very close to the character( or object) it does createshadows on ground/walls when i turn Raytrace shadows on. If i Set the spread angle too big the Sharp of the shadow is lost and becomes really blocky. But what if i want to light up a scene and get most of the character lighten . Is my only option to switch to a Distance light?</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>I provide some Images&nbsp;</p>

<p>1) I set the Environment Map value low</p>

<p>2) I create a New Spot light. And show that if it&#39;s very close to the character i do see shadows on ground( walls if available) but this solution is very limited as i&nbsp; can only get shadows of the stuff within the cone in the light and upping up the spread angle will erase all shadows</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>3) I show how i can Move the spot light quite further away to try to capture more of the character and even increase the Ray Distance, now there&#39;s no light at all coming from the spot light even if i Increase the lumen. And of course Shadows dont work at all.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>So what is there to do. How do i get shadows and even light when i move the light back( and i move it so that i can light up more of the character instead of just the face or upper torso. upping the Spread Angle has proven to not work either when keeping the Light close</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I&#39;ve been making my own genitalia for a long time now, and this isn&#39;t the first time. So, I was reworking and recreating them again, and I noticed something strange,&nbsp;for some reason, my weight map edits seem to have stopped working on the main mesh. That is, in Tool Settings mode I see the changes, but as soon as I switch back to the normal weight map viewport, it looks like I never changed anything. Meanwhile, the geoshell on top of the weight map renders normally,&nbsp;it&rsquo;s the geograft grid itself that&rsquo;s messing up.</p>

<p>As a part of my workflow, I&#39;ve always been using Marvelous Designer to create morphs on clothing. I find that the clothing simulation has always been much more fluent and worked great. However, as of updating to the most recent version of MD, version 2026.0.189, something seems to have broken in my pipeline.</p>

<p>To also explain my (basic) way of doing these emulations, I always have worked as follows:</p>

<ul>
	<li>Complete posing etc in daz, including clothing</li>
	<li>set back the resolution level of clothing to base</li>
	<li>Disable smoothing</li>
	<li>set back chest related parameters on the outfit to 0%</li>
	<li>export with attached settings (OBJ)</li>
	<li>export model at normal resolution level (OBJ)</li>
	<li>Import model in MD with attached settings&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Import outfit part (import OBJ as garment) with attached settings</li>
	<li>tack outfit where needed, Simulate outfit</li>
	<li>Export with attached settings</li>
	<li>Import back into Daz with attached settings (Morph loader pro)</li>
</ul>

<p>I&#39;ve included my export settings and import settings for reference, and to clarify, I do always set my clothing back to base resolution level. My question is if anyone else has experienced this, or if some kind of setting has been broken on my end. I&#39;d like to ask for some advice, to see if I can get it fixed. If you spot anything wrong, or if there&#39;s some kind of extra step I&#39;ll have to (start) making, please let me know!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I used to do this, but I&#39;m getting back after a year or so and I am missing something, or the new versions messed it up.</p>

<p>I am exporting obj for DAZ, simultating the dress in MD on an avatar animated to morph into my character.</p>

<p>If I export from DAZ with &quot;Write UV coordinates&quot;, I get an error using Morph Loader Pro &quot;Vertex Count mismatch 11052:12140 (Base:Morph)&quot;, I checked that MD sees 11052 vertices in app, thus it is adding the extras during export.</p>

<p>If I uncheck&nbsp;&quot;Write UV coordinates&quot;, the count remains consistent, but now MD mess up the vertex ordering, and the resulting morph from Morph Loader Pro is useless.</p>

<p>Is anyone using this workfolow with MD successfully? Thank You</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have recently setup my PC after a wipe with rebuild. I was using both Daz 4.24* and alpha build 2025. Since the new graphics card rebuild I cannot download Daz Studio 2025 from DIM. I have public builds checked, I have latest Nvidia drivers (both Studio and Game), I have show hidden on. I have downloaded and installed all my other Daz content. But, when I type &quot;Daz Studio 2025&quot;, &quot;DS&quot;, &quot;Studio&quot;, &quot;2025&quot;, &quot;Alpha&quot; - nothing resembling &quot;Daz Studio 2025&quot; populates in the list. Closest is Studio 2026 Beta. Someone please assist.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Can anyone assist me with how to make holes in a mesh similar to bullet holes and save as morphs in DAZ Studio? I own Mesh Grabber but I haven&#39;t had any luck with it! I am not very experinced in using it. Are there any settings that I can start with? Are there any other tools in DAZ Studio that might do the same thing? Cheers</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a huge library. (13k products last I checked) I make a lot of images with very different contexts and environments.<br />
<br />
Since my reinstall, I can&#39;t see the end of updating and downloading the products. Doesn&#39;t help that Daz seems to default back to placing everything on C:\ and I want it on a larger drive. But I digress.<br />
<br />
Since content Manager can&#39;t see the end of it, I hoped that DIM voud do it better/faster. But it turns out, it&#39;s duplicating everything! How can it be this bad?<br />
<br />
I build software for a living and I&#39;m stumped because the dev-team controls both content installers AND the CMS. You&#39;d think that there would be a unique ID preventing duplication and that they&#39;d use it...&nbsp;<br />
<br />
anybody has a workaround?&nbsp;</p>
