Going back and forth between cinema 4d and DAZ Studio, for creating morphs failed miserable.
The verticis order is different with c4d, which results in "splatter-morphs".
With c4d 10.5, I had Riptide as a solution for exchanging *objs.
Riptide doesn't work with version 2026.1.
Is there any other tool, that helps creating morphs for DAZ Studio in c4d?

i'm a new Daz user and i'm getting very mixed results sending characters to C4D with Redshift renderer, specifically Genesis 9 characters and materials.

converting materials to Redshift Mats leads me to having to tweak or remove some nodes, reload maps etc.

But worst of all is the appearance of hair. The best i can achieve is a very very thin head of hair with all of the scalp visible.

I have a new computer and had with a new install of DAZ3D and the latest Bridge and have a problem I didn't have before using the same version of Cinema 4D V21.

When the Bridge creates a new Cinema 4D file, the Genesis 8 Female is created with no errors and the JCM morphs work. The new problem I'm having is if I export a FBX from the exact same file in DAZ3D that the Bridge used except with a face or body morph and add it to the Cinema4D morph tag, the entire Genesis 8 Female mesh has other deformations such as the teeth, ears, etc.

Even if I export the Genesis 8 Female with no morphs applied at all, within Cinema 4D the same Genesis 8 Female mesh deformations occur.

If I do the same thing manually not using the Bridge (meaning I don't get the benefit of Bridge JCM creation tools) I do not get the Genesis 8 Female mesh deformations. This implies the Bridge is some how making small mesh changes during exporting process it didn't do before.

The cloth in this outfit has a lot of folds and pleats that I thought would just "go limp" in C4D, but it retained a lot of those.

I have no idea where I can leave feedback for the C4D bridge so someone from the devs sees it, so I do it here.

With the latest version the prop and figure material import are even worse than before, textures are mapped into the wrong channels, there are diffuse/reflection imports mixed up. Also bump and normal settings are completely wrong. I cannot understand how this can be rolled out as a working bridge, did no dev actually test if this works? Redshift conversion does not work at all, only one material is converted and here the textures are plugged into the wrong ports and/or have wrong settings.

Maybe the devs should ask someone with some knowledge about C4D, Redshift and Octane instead of tinkering themselves?

The free bridge is advertised to sell more assets to use them with C4D. Practically this only works VERY bad if ever.

Hi all,

I've been attempting to utilize the "Moves by Maxon" tool to link facial capture animations to my Genesis 9 model. It synced effortlessly with the Genesis 8.1 model, but I've encountered challenges with Genesis 9. While using the Daz to Cinema 4D bridge, I tried choosing the ARkit morphs from Genesis 8.1, but they're not appearing. I went ahead and purchased the Genesis 9 expressions from the Daz store (you can check them out here: https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-9-expressions). However, these expressions don't seem to be compatible with "Moves by Maxon". Currently, only the eyebrows show any motion. Any solutions or suggestions you might have are greatly appreciated !

Hi there,

Is there a way to import an animated Genesis 8 figure (with mocap from DAZ "Animations" panel) to C4D 2023.2.0? Daz bridge gives me this message "Animation was detected, joint orientation has not been fixed", and doesn't import any animations. I tried to import an animated .fbx instead, but it also doesn't import any animations. Any idea how to solve this or if this is even possible in the first place?

Thanks :)
