The scenes provided demonstrate a range of demanding and advanced rendering strategies using HDRI and TA. Documentation is provided to cover the key points and the thinking behind the choices made. Because nearly all of the scenes combine HDRI with TA (in some form or another), and a large proportion of the scenes use Premium effects, instant results cannot be expected.
Note, these scenes are not intended as "finished" and the ideas put forwards are my perspective on how to use these new 7.1 pro features. This is by no means an exhaustive exploration of the possibilities but can only offer a starting point for further experimentation with HDRI and TA.
Come to these features with an open mind and a fast computer (or a lot of patience) and begin a rewarding investigation into new and almost entirely novel ways of using this remarkably flexible piece of software.
As the second in the series "Premium Rendering HDRI/TA" this expands on the concepts put forwards in "Stoneheap" by exploring ways of using TA and HDRI to gather high quality ambient light texture maps and then going on to use these maps as a means to increase render efficiency and/or produce special effects. Clearly this product is not aimed at beginners.
