Prepper automates the task of taking .obj files and creating Poser ready .cr2 files.

The process normally consists of creating .PHI files for each .obj file, importing the .obj's into Poser, converting to a .cr2 via the .PHI file and then going in and setting up the .cr2 by hand in a text editor. On products that have numerous .obj files, this process quickly becomes mundane and soul-destroying...and that's where Prepper comes in!

Whether you have 1 file or 100, Prepper does all the work for you in a single click. The end result is a set of base .cr2's ready to load the model in Poser so you can start setting up materials and finalizing them even quicker!

Once you have made the final tweaks in Poser (setting up materials, etc.) and re-saved the .cr2's out from Poser, be sure to use the Poser File Cleaner (sold separately at DAZ) for the perfect set of QA ready files!

  • This version of Prepper does not create CR2's for use with conforming clothing and hair without additional editing by hand.

  • Automatically:
    Creates a .phi for each .obj file in the specified input folder. Creates a .cr2 file in the specified output folder. Sets both the figure name (contained in teh cr2) and .cr2 filename according to the .obj filename. Creates a basic Poser material for each of the objects materials and sets it to white. Optionally, automatically hide all the dials in the subsequent figure parts, but not in the parent BODY part. Optionally, automatically enable Forcelimits on all dials.
  • All in line with current DAZ brokering requirements.
