In television or movie production, grips are technicians responsible for moving and setting up the lighting and camera equipment. The head of a department of grips is called a Key Grip. Grips have two main functions. The first is to work closely with the camera department to ensure the correct position and movement of the cameras during filming, especially if they use dollies or cranes. The second is to work closely with the electrical department to put in the necessary lighting set-ups. Key Grip for DAZ Studio is a plug-in which allows you, the director, to easily control the cameras and lights using your keyboard or joystick. The Key Grip plug-in also allows you to be the Camera Operator and Gaffer. Key Grip also includes a universal manipulator, so you no longer need to switch among the rotate, translate and scale tools as you manage your scenes. Now you can control translation, rotation and scale with one manipulator.
