Full Description

The Elite Human Surface Shader has been designed to deliver exceptional results using the default settings. While you still retain control to adjust the settings however you like, you may simply load and render your figures without changing a single dial and produce photo-realistic pictures effortlessly. This shader has been designed to deliver exceptional results using the default settings. Utilizing true, ray-traced sub-surface scattering, translucency; two separate specular channels for advanced highlight effects, bump, displacement, diffuse, and reflection channels and more this shader will help take your DAZ Studio renders to a whole new level.

This product requires DAZ Studio version 2.2.2.17 or higher.

Features
  • Subsurface Scattering Support
  • All shading contributions (diffuse/specular/reflection) can be individually toggled, allowing the user to easily isolate the individual components.
  • Enhanced Specular Control
    • Improved proprietary specular model which allows for great back-lighting effects and minimized clipping/sharp falloff when specular is very broad.
    • Two specular components to allow for simulation of complex surfaces like skin which can have multiple layers (skin/oil, skin/sweat, etc).
    • Both specular components have a "sharpness control" to allow for sharp specular falloff on very reflective surfaces like corneas.
  • Enhanced Reflection Control
    • Support for HDR environment maps*
    • Both mapped and ray traced reflections can be blurred (blurred ray traced reflections are inherently very slow).
    • Fresnel contributions with definable falloff and falloff sharpness.
  • Velvet component which can be used to simulate "peach fuzz" or fabrics.
  • Translucency
  • Tile-able Textures
    • Per-surface control of U and V tiling, allowing you to use tile-able textures on any of the mappable components.
  • Improved Transparency/Refraction usability
  • "Accept Shadows" control can be used to prevent the surface from receiving shadows.
  • "Trace Displacements" gives you the choice of optionally doing ray trace calculations after displacement. This is slower but more accurate and can eliminate artifacts people are seeing when using displacement while using the UberEnvironment light.
  • All Component Colors and Strengths are Mappable
