how to make a realistic waterfall

Tools Needed
* Bryce:5
* A photo editing program



Step 1 - creating the waterfall base
 
first we start with adding some terrain





now we open the terrain editor





ounce in the editor click new





now draw the shape that is shown in the picture





now click the check in the corner

now you can preview your base.



 
Step 2 - adding the texture
 
open up the materials lab and click on the small arrow facing right





now select the planes and terrain catagory and select mossy rock





now you can preview your base.
 
Step 3 - making the water (part 1)
 
click on the waterfall base and open up the terrain editor





ounce in the editor press the print screen button on your keyboard





now exit out of the editor, now hold your cursor at the top of the screen for a few seconds, ounce the menu at the top of the screen pops up click on the underline





now open up microsoft paint or any other photo editing program,
 
Step 4 - making the water (part 2)
 
ounce in the photo editing program click edit>paste





now select the crop squre tool





and crop around the shape as shown in the picture





now click edit>cut





and now click file>new and then click edit>paste



 
Step 5 - making the water (part 3)
 
now click file>save as





now choose jpg as the format and save the image to your desktop





now go back to bryce and make a new terrain.

click on the new terrain and go to the terrain editor and click pictures





now find the image you just saved and click open





now click on the small arrow under the third image to the right and click pict. blend



 
Step 6 - making the water (part 4)
 
now change the material of the newly edited object to oasis witch can be found by clicking on the waters and liquids catagory and by clicking on the second one down to the left side



 
Step 7 - adding the mist
 
first create a sphere





now stretch it to the left





now open up the material room





now click on the clouds and fogs catagory and select tea kettle steam





now drag the mist to where you want it



 
Step 8 - VIOLA!
 
and now VIOLA! you have a perfect looking waterfall.
