Render Library making Jpegs
I bet there is a simple solution for this ive not found it, but i’m sure there is a simple answer

* Render in New WIndow ” Yes”
* Render Library on hard Drive “Yes”
C:\Users\Malmaoo\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\Render Library\pictures

then i try to Open any of the saves Jpegs not Png
for some reason the KB size is low
—————————————————————————————
120 KB (122,880 bytes)
168 KB (172,032 bytes
—————————————————————-
i know it should work,
but i can use fraps for taking screen capture instead
i should be happy about that
——————————————————————————————
very best wishes

I am still not understanding what is wrong as the screenshpt you posted above has an image selected and it shows the size you rendered it at. See your image cropped below

File size has nothing to do with Image size. File size depends on how much information (in a image it’s different colors and amount of image used with no empty space) the Render size is set by the program that made the image. To see your pictures at full size just open one with a 2D art program like MSPaint, Gimp or PhotoShop and and set it to view at original size or full view mode.

HI All smile

just a thought here,..
In the screen-capture above, ..in the file properties, it’s set to open with “Windows Live Photo Gallery” ..does anyone know if that an on-line application which requires an internet connection to run… which could possibly explain why jpegs aren’t opening.

Windows 7 has a “windows photo viewer” built in.. with simple options to show full scale, or magnified in / out.

try changing the jpg file format to open in “Windows Photo Viewer”

Right click on any jpeg image ,  select “open with” and select Windows Photo viewer from the list of available programs.

Photo Gallery is pretty much the same thing, never figured out why we got two that did the same thing. All my images open in both without a problem. In both you need to tell the Viewer to show full size or they auto show at reduced to fit screen.

No I have it in Vista Home Prem as standard and they do show thumbs but if you double click on an image then it enlarges ok.

hi, and thank you to all,

i tried to include in Windows Live gallery
i can do that, but none of the pictures will open .

Pictures all Opens In MSPaint nice and big. so that’s ok at the present time.

In Folder Propertys box, i have ticked full permisions .

After the last MS Security Update, or after i Downloaded and Installed something,
or maybe there are Gremlins at work In the computer.

I did a complet antivirus scan and Run Ubit Advanced System care but did not find anything.

best wishes
mal

Only one Program can be set as the DEFAULT program for a file type. If you Right click on one of your images you will get a menu, in the Menu pick OPEN WITH, a list of all your programs that support that file type (jpg) will open. You can View the images in any of those programs by running that program and loading the image or selecting it from this list. At the Bottom of the Right Click Menu in OPEN WITH is the option to change which ONE of your programs will be the DEFAULT program. You can never make them auto open in every program at one time. That would cause ALL the programs to open every time you double clicked on the file. You CAN open them in any program with the File Load menu for that program. Here is the same image opened with three of my viewers.

Hi Szark smile

I wasn’t sure about Windows “Live” part of it,.. and though it may need a net connection or online storage area or some other nonsense like that.

It’s definitely strange that Mal’s system isn’t opening images in the default Windows photo viewer,.. but I’d also recommend downloading “Gimp”, since it’s a much better image editor than either of the other programs.

I’d also suggest removing / uninstalling the Windows live photo thing, since it’s not needed.

Hiya 3DAGE

Yeah the live bit comes from Facebook and Youtube etc uploading functions built in and being part of Windows Live Essentials which includes their Mail software. Though you can’t uninstall it directly you can uninstall Windows Live Essentials and reinstall deselecting the vairous accessories that are not wanted

But if mal takes Jad’s advice then it won’t effect then it wouldn’t cause a probelm.
