I am using Daz 3D for the first time. I have installed the software successfully and have been playing with it for several hours.

I read about Victoria and Michael models.  Are they necessary for the proper use of the software? If so, are they provide in the basic installation package or do I have to purchase these models?

Victoria and Michael were DAZ 3D Flagship figures up until the advent of Genesis in DS4.

They came in various incarnations from the original Vicky, through generations 2,3 and 4.

And yes they are separate figures, and need purchasing.

V5 and M5 on the other hand are Morph [acks for genesis, but are also a separate purchase.
