By the way have you tried the sweep tool for creating a bolt?  Create the spiral, then draw a profile for the thread, then sweep the profile along the spiral.

Sorry, it took so long to answer. I am not on this forum much lately.
I have used the sweep tool to model the bolt before, I don’t remember exactly how I did though.
I have been busy digging into Blender and 3d coat, but did start working on a new Hexagon tut today.

Keep up the good work.  Your tutorials are direct and simple, great for a hobby.  I was also looking into blender for it’s flexibility.  Hopefully, you’ll continue expanding your tutorials.
