Grabbed that bleep before they wake up (this time)... uhh, I mean, that’s a lot more generous price than I usually see. smile

I"ve never used them before. The particles one looks VERY interesting, with the grass. But what exactly is Pro 3.5? Is it like photoshop? Or is it more of a “painting” program?

This is quite an old version, but still well worth it a $2.50.  I have version 3.7 which I bought a long time ago.

It is a painting program, and it can do some wonderful things.  Have a look at the website for tutorials, there are loads of them.  The site is here : http://thebest3d.com/

I have a lot of tutorials that came with mine that help to get you started.

Thanks for the heads up and at the PA sale 1/2 off price they are a great bargain. But the low ‘original price’ may be about right. PD Particles is only $4.99 and PD 3.5 Pro is only $10.00 on the Project Dogwaffle site:
http://www.thebest3d.com/dogwaffle/

If you want later versions PD Artist 2 (powered by PD Pro 6) and PD Pro 7 Howler are better bargains compared to the Project DogWaffle site:

Best Regards,

i was just reading their site, trying to work it out. Looks great - especially at that price. A good price for those of us who WANT to learn how to draw/paint digitally, but can’t afford those higher-end programs. LOL.

The Particles one is fascinating me - I’m not sure but are the particles included in Pro 3.5? As in, if i bought the 3.5 would I need to buy the particles one?

I like Bryce, DazStudio, Poser and Vue ... in alphabetical order. And I would probably like Carrara too, if I could find the time to become acquainted with it. Peace?

That’s nice! I got PD Particles a couple years ago and can’t find it. Tempted to get it again.

But I got PD Artist 6 today and the installer errors out when it’s finished and the program won’t run. It’s one of those informative errors called ‘unexpected’. And I don’t know who I’m supposed to try to contact to give me direction.

I don’t suppose anyone can get the ‘nova’ preset to work? It crashes PD Particles with a runtime error every time.
Edit: Fixed it. There’s an update on their website for anyone interested. Updated to 1.2 and it all works just fine.

Thanks but I went through there with a fine tooth comb. Tried one thing I thought maybe might work, nah.

So I googled and got the solution on the first entry. I had to run the installer as Adminstrator. You’d think I’d know that by now.

It works.
