Rendering issues

I am having issues with rendering in daz studio 4.5 and bryce 7.Studio simply crashes upon initialization of any render.It was previously working fine.
Bryce worked great too for about 2-6 renders and then…. well better to show you than describe it.

Please post your computer specs…amount of RAM, CPU, video card and operating system (version and whether 32 or 64 bit)...

What driver version for the video card and any info in the Studio log file…Help > Troubleshooting > View Log (I think)?

Those specs look good…other than the memory limit in Bryce, you shouldn’t be hitting those kinds of problems.


The log file should also be in Users\<name>\AppData\Daz 3d\Studio4 folder (forgot to add that above…my daughter didn’t log out and I posted under her name…)

here are my specs you asked for…. how do i upload the log.I tried different ways but was unable.the log file is way too long to copy and paste.

Delete/rename the file (I prefer renaming) and then try a render so all you have in it is the single session.

Then copy and paste and paste it, into a ‘Post Reply” not a ‘Fast Reply’.

As you can see when i tried to render the program just crashes without registering i even started the render in the log file.I just tried to render the default scene(only blank genesis) Which is why after loading genesis.duf or whatever it says starting daz again.

Looks like the problem is an update gone awry…basically, you have mismatching content versions.

You’ve got the Gen4 Shapes?  That needs to be uninstalled and the latest version installed (reset your download for it..)

k sorry i haven’t been back in awhile but i have fixed the duplicate file issue.Daz still crashes upon beginning a render.Here is the log:

The specs you posted earlier show 8 GB and 64 bit Win 7…

The log shows 1 GB and Win XP…

Something isn’t right here…and I’m suspecting an OS problem…probably UAE/account restrictions/firewall or something similar forcing DS to be installed in ‘compatibility’ mode.

If either program only has 1 GB available, then yes, it will crash…with all but the smallest scenes.  DS4, on my system uses a couple hundred MB just sitting there.  Add in one Genesis and it climbs to around 400 MB.

fixed the compatibility issue here is my new log.Daz still crashes while rendering.Bryce doesn’t crash while rendering just creates extremely pixelated renders.

Bryce will always use no more than 4 GB (or even see any more…it’s a 32 bit program and that’s a hard limit)
