WiP THREAD FOR NEW USERS CONTEST, September.
"Propping up the image" Intent: To help in better understanding how to have your figures using props.
This thread is intended to be used to share your progress or possible final submissions with the members of the community as well as those running the contest. Please feel free to post your images for advice and tips, to get feedback, or to even just simply show off your hard work!
Throughout the month myself and others will be popping in to give help and advice as you work to make your creative visions for the contest come to life.
The Contest this month is about using props in your render, Props that your character(s)is using in some way.
We have people standing by to give you hints and tips varying from how to import your prop to how to attach it to your figure, so that it moves with the figure, whatever pose you choose.
When working on this image, or indeed any image, it may help to start by either picturing the type of image you would like to make or by browsing the net and seeing what inspires you.
Props that you use will vary from person to person, of course, some may choose to use weapons, other to use tools, some may even want to just use something like a flower, a toy, a book, a domestic implement of some sort, their is no limt to what you can use.
We are not putting up any specific tutorials on the subject at the start of the contest, We will be following the thread carefully, and will insert tutorials as and when we feel that there is a need for them, when people ask for advice.
"We would like to thank RawArt who has graciously decided to sponsor this months contest" He will be awarding a special prize to the winner of this months "Props"contest. To view some of RawArt's items please see his store front here RawArt's Store
I attach a couple of images I did when I need to put some background people into an image, collecting wood, to show how varied props can be.
