Ciao.
Mainly (prevalentemente) Boolean operations.
I am not satisfied…..
Try using bend for main parts.
Simple example.
1: Create curves for shape.
2: Ruled surface. Add edge_loops as needed.
Add 2 curves for 2 planer bends.
3: Bend in 2 planes
(2 pieces welded and bridged)
Ciao Steve.
Difficult for me to explain.
I want to especially thank.
The method that you used is masterful.
Do I have the time to understand.
Again thank you very much.
Bye
Here’s a oil production platform I’m making.
Together with a lifeboat.——(the Sampan is from DAZ):cheese:
At the moment it looks to new and unused, and it does still miss some bits and pieces.
And the shading in Carrara still needs a lot of work.
This is a testrender I did in Carrrara, mainly to see how it would look. I have tried to make it as low-poly as possible.
At this stage it is 66 601 poly’s.

Ciao a tutti.
ANELLO:
With reference to the system indicated by Steve.
Is excellent.
But:
Do not think it would be nice and useful to have a system to distribute good points after Boolean operations?
For example, to obtain the curves after Boolean operations and then have the points equidistant.
Or, without altering the shape of the curve, have a different number of points, always equidistant.
Bye

The crane doesn’t look to convincing either.
The model is well done.
Bravo.
Render, in my opinion could be improved.
I would change the sea.
A render done in Carrara. It isn’t UV-mapped (except the signs and net on the helideck)
So there are some work to be done with procedural shaders…
It looks a bit empty on the top deck, but in the final picture there will be some containers and other props.
It is also made in Poser scale, so I will also populate it with some figures.
As you can see in the background, I have also created an environment to put it in.
Would properly not be certified by Lloyds or Veritas or Greenpeace.
Thank you friends.
You are very generous to me.
Unfortunately I can not reciprocate because I can not speak English.
My interventions are unclear because I stutter.
Aspect to observe your good works.
