Question from a noob: Is there a way to render light beams in DAZ Studio? I've played around with the settings, but so far no luck.

You can get visible light rays by using a volumetric shader... There's the uberVolume in DS Advanced/Pro, you can also create some via the Shader Mixer (in DS Advanced/Pro) and there's this product in the store that makes it even more easy:
