Assassin_21, This might work but you will have to fiddle with it. It is the squirrel tail addon to the house mouse. It is jointed so you could make you feather go any which way and you can size each of the sections. Maybe alot of work but hey it is free. Here is the link.

I could not resist trying out my own advice. Here is the result of my “tweaking”.
This what I did to the tail in DAZ3D 3A.

Put the Bushy trans map in the Bump at 100% strength, -0.15, 0.18 and removed the diffuse map.
Yellow in picture is from the Ubersoft lights I used.
Not perfect but I think I will be using it in some of my renders.
