Thanks for the heads up. I’ll keep an eye out. =)

I have the entire freebie archives backed up, but sadly they didn’t mark who did what in the file names. lol

Does anyone know where I might find some garden plants, specifically vegetables like tomatoes, beans, herbs, stuff like that?

Thanks guys, I grabbed the xfrog ones as those will be perfect, and I’m not sure how I’d missed the strawberry plant all this time. The corn for DS was completely new, and it might work - not sure if it will be a little too farmish for what I’m working on. Unfortunately, while the vegetables would be perfect for what I’m doing, they’re WAY too expensive.

RDNA has some veggie freebies.
http://www.runtimedna.com/Props-Pack-Grapes.html
http://www.runtimedna.com/Props-Pack-Harvest-Fruits.html

You need to be logged in to their forum download these, too:
http://forum.runtimedna.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=29
http://forum.runtimedna.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=849

FYI, their RealDeal sale might have some plants available as well. At two bucks or so, not bad.

Also, I have carrots, onion and garlic in my .sig link. They’re not GREAT, but will do in a pinch.

Thanks Skiriki, took a look but these all appear to be just the food portion whereas I’m actually looking for the plants.
I’ll have to look through the RD items at a time when I can afford something, right now I’m completely restricted to free though.

Are your carrot, onion, and garlic the actual veggie or the full plant? (I didn’t see a pic of them)

Unfortunately vegetable plants do seem to be very much in the minority, although their usable parts are quite numerous.

Sadly I am noticing this, and herbs are even worse.
How can I make a garden without these things?! LOL
I hate gardening - but doing it for real in my backyard was easier then this virtual attempt hehe

chellethecat,
If you have hex, poser or Bryce you can convert these 3ds models to objs. They are individual plants but with DAZ’s instancing you could get your rows of radishes and onions.

Radish by Daniel.
Spring onions by Veronica Bush.

Also www.plantit3d.com has some 3ds models of weeds that are in a row. They could be used for young seedlings. They also have some individual plants that from a distance might work for dill.

In the past I took the tea bush model from Xfrog and changed out the leaf from tea to cotton. So you might want to look in the library section of xfrog and check out the free samples. Each library bundle has one free sample and they are different then the ones listed on the sample page. You may be able to play with leaf types and get something close to what you want.

And finally in this package is a pumpkin vine. Might work for cucumbers, squash too.

Okay, in that case, only the carrot is usable, and you need to “plant” it. But it has the prerequisite green bits.
