I’ve noticed some awesome things in the promo art for products like the parkside hauler:

How is that misty effect achieved? Is it a product or post work? Looks very nice. I would like to try it but I am uncertain where to begin.

Most likely it is done in post work with fog brushes. Here are the two most popular brush sets.

another option is to use a product like Atmospheric Effects Cameras for DAZ Studio that way you can add the fog or haze effect in when you render bet it can take a few attempts to get tyhe effect you are after.
