...well, I for one am tired of waiting and will continue pushing the morphs the best I can for my needs. I did it with V4, guess I’ll just have to do it with GenX & Genesis.
It’s just like DreamLight releasing all these new products & training programmes while neglecting to update the one item that is their claim to fame.
Unfortunately I do not have the time to create my own LD system.
I suspect that DAZ probably has figured out when they intend to release them, but that it took them a while. I have images of them debating round and round as to whether they should release them *before* an official Kid5 package or after. And if they decided after, then we’re up a rather smelly creek. Because I’ve not seen anything to indicate an official K5 package in the wings.
But the fact is that the teens are not the kids. It’s either two packages, one or the other, or neither. And since the teens exist, they will make an appearance eventually. But it’s been a long tiresome wait. Thorne mentioned having finished them some time in early June or July, so DAZ has been sitting on them for some time. I only hope they aren’t holding off for something like March Madness. Although I do remember that they do tend to release things in April. I think K4 came out in April 2010.
I don’t mean to be a wet blanket, but unless they have some way of locking out the gens, I don’t think we will ever see ‘official’ K5 or Young Teen/PreTeen packages…
And yes, those that would do such will find a way, anyway…but the liability of it being ‘official’ is just too great, in my opinion.

It didn’t stop them from having the Basic Child morph. They’ll probably just update the gens to have the same interaction with K5/Teens/etc. Not that that would even slow down anyone who wants to misuse them, of course.

If that’s why it’s been a 6 month+ wait, It feels like a sad excuse. They know how to prevent that sort of functionality… They did it with basic child, all they have to do is update the gens.————- Personally, I really hope the excessive wait was because they are making a bundle out of it ie LL5. For me, that would certainly validate such a long wait. If it isn’t, then it feels like daz has just been prolonging the release of an excellent product that would have conquered the age group long ago - in which case this thread would be a render thread, not a quest to do it ourselves since daz was reluctant on it’s release.
Ok, I realize USA is a different beast when it comes to lawsuits and moral panic, but how would Daz be responsible for what images users create with their tech?
Oh well if everyone wants to continue thinking that nudity equals pornography and that certain bodyparts are “bad” until you reach a certain age, that´s fine, just release Justin and Julie already, cause I can´t wait.

When I was still at school Ive been friends with many that were 15 and looked like they were ten…. and 15 and looked like they were 20. I think you’ve done a great job with him, I like him
I’ve also found that texture choice can also greatly affect the perceived age of a 3d character too, as with hair as well.
