I am so excited the forums are back up! I have a stupid question for you.

So sometimes when I download an clothing item (other other item) then load it on a character it will throw an error and then I need to locate the missing file, usually its a pattern or texture.

So I located the file and let it finish loading. Is there a way to update the reference, without saving it as a totally new item?

It depends what format the file is in.  Poser formats (.cr2, .pz2, etc.) are plain text, as are .ds/.dsa/.dsf files.  In these you can edit the file to correct the path to the textures.  .daz files can’t be edited, which is why they’re being phased out for the new .duf format.
