I’ve been getting a little busy. Since I learned about the Map Transfer tool in DS, I had to give it a go. What it does is allow you to transfer textures meant for one UV to another one. A better explanation of what to do is found in these two:
I used it to transfer the D5 texture to the M5 UV, I used M5 as it had the same material groups as D5. Once done I thought the textures looked a little dark, so I loaded them in Photoshop and did apply image on them, set to ‘Screen’ 100%.
I now have a D5 texture that I can use on M6. I loaded the M5 Elite Dave texture first so I had the right shader and applied the D5 textures instead of the Dave ones.
The result is the rather handsome chap below
