Here are some pics of the 3 different hair styles I’ve created for her… I’ve done them in 3 basic textures; Blond, Redhead, and Brunette… the glossiness is intentional… (to match the anime sculpture type surfaces on the base anime girl figure…)

Ty… I’ll be doing a few more hairstyles over the next while and more clothing as well. Right now I’m just finishing up the last of the basic morphs for the base figure…
so far they are;
Body Morphs:
Large Breasts
Small Breasts
Nipple Size
Fix Body Shape (switches between the initial body shape that some people liked and the new shaping fixes for those that prefer them)
Chubby
Skinny
Limb Morphs:
Thicken/Thin Legs
Thicken/Thin Arms
Facial Expressions:
Grimace
Sneer Left
Sneer Right
Smile/Laugh
Mouth Round
Pucker Lips
Head Morphs:
Elvaine Ears (The name I gave the Elfish races in my rpg that this character is based from)
Jut/Retract Chin
Lengthen/Shorten Chin
Widen/Narrow Chin
Nose Bridge Deep/Shallow
Nose Bridge Wide/Narrow
Nose Tip Long/Short
Nose Tip Up/Down
Nose Tip Wide/Narrow
You know, has anyone here ever played a game by Square Enix called “The World Ends With You”? The way how this anime girl is styled and shaded somehow reminds of the art style in that game.
Never played it… though I do have many titles by Square-Enix in my games library… I’ve had a huge number of influences in my style of ‘anime’ art over the years… the biggies are Robotech, Visions of Escaflowne, Anything Shirow (he’s my favourite anime artist), and movies like Orguss, Macross, and Record of Lodoss War to name but a very small few… lol (I have a massive collection of imported comics and movies along with numerous how-to books).
I can see you’ve made quite a few improvements to the figure, especially with the head. She looks a lot better now.
However, I still think the neck area looks wrong. It either looks like her shoulders are constantly hunched, or she has no neck whatsoever. If you could at the least add a morph that elongates the neck that would be a huge improvement. Heck, Escaflowne characters are well renowned for their nice necks.

I shall take that into consideration… I had lengthened her neck a bit some like it some don’t… I’ll play around with lengthening it a bit more perhapse as a morph… and see if I can get some decent results…
In the mean-time, here are a few examples of some of the facial expressions possible with a combination of facial poses and the few morphs I’ve done… The Eyelids and Brows are actually rigged rather than morphing…
Figured I’d post an example of the various eye colours I’ve created as alternate textures… She also has 3 alternate skintones as well plus the default one….

You should look into it then if you’re making characters like Kristin here. Perhaps playing it might help influence other characters in the same style, perhaps a male counterpart.
I’ve actually had a few people ask if I have a male counter-part planned… I can honestly say I do yes… He’ll be based on my own sketches and artworks the same as this figure is…. I also plan somewhere down the road on doing some monsters and animals from the same series of RPG game sketches as these have come from (I wrote my own RPG some years back and am now using the sketches I’d done for that as inspiration for my 3d work)
*Edit* We’re talking a bit down the road for any of it… a male counter-part included… I still gotta get this one out yet.. lol

I’m actually happiest with the 3rd one… but the other two were early attempts at modeling hair from back when I started working on the Anime Girl figure… Much like on the figure herself, I still need to refine my hair modeling techniques… but as you can see I’m improving…
