A long time ago I ran across but did not save an untextured prop that was for concentric circular water ripples, like if you dropped a pebble into a pond.  Does anybody know where that is, or even remember the name of it?  Doesn’t need materials, just want it to be in a format that can be imported into Bryce.

@launok, although I couldn’t find a cape like you are describing, it occurs to me that it looks similar to a Dracula cape; you might try looking around for one of those.

I like Bryce, DazStudio, Poser and Vue ... in alphabetical order. And I would probably like Carrara too, if I could find the time to become acquainted with it. Peace?

I’ve been searching for models of the Apollo, Gemini, and Saturn 5 rockets of the 60’s and 70’s. Can someone help me out? The Moon Buggy would be good also.

This WAS free but now it’s $2

I think this buggy was free to, but now it’s $2…

An Apollo craft…

Another buggy…

I’m posting these because this is what is available. If you need a them for a project now, I’d rather post the info than let you wait for a freebie that may never come.

Best of luck!

The Wayback Machine lets you download like it’s 2010:

Oh my gosh, I freakin’ LOVE the wayback machine!

I wonder if anyone can help here.  It seems the Wayback Machine is quite a nice way to get to older freebies not working.  However, I have a site which I have found today via a forum (not with the WM).  I know this is quite an old site as I remember that I had visited it some years ago.  But for some reason a few of the freebies is not working and after trying with the WM I had no success as it takes me to a link not quite correct.  http://web.archive.org/web/20011008004404/http://www.wg3d.com/downloadsx.html

I have never used the WM and I am not sure if I have searched correctly.  It seems Robkelk is more familiar with this. wink

Original working link is:  http://www.wg3d.com./downloadsx.html

The none working freebies I am looking for on this link is the:

spinning wheel
cradle
scooter
mail cart
fantasy coach
(not sure if I have left something out on the list of non-working zips)

The mail cart is something I can use in vintage renders.  Do anyone know of such a mail cart elsewhere?

Thank you for any help.  smile

What I have done to use the wayback successfully when I don’t get good results with the page I want to look at is to use the capture bar at the top of the wayback machine. If you click on the hot link (it is usually something that looks like words like 63 captures on the left of the time line it puts you in the month mode and you can see all of the blue dots for the year you are currently in. From this page I look for a date just before the current designed page. The owner probably inadvertently broke the link to the download and is not aware that that has happened. So using this technique I found the following:

For the mail cart and scooter
http://web.archive.org/web/20120415102642/http://www.wg3d.com/downloadsx.html

For the fantasy coach and cradle (Note don’t click on the fantasy coach image this will give you the hot rod. Look for the red toy car in the second row and you will get the fantasy coach download. For the cradle look for the green tractor)
http://web.archive.org/web/20111115212620/http://www.wg3d.com/downloadsx.html

For the spinning wheel all of the captures from the wayback machine seem not to work. You never could down load it from the time it was introduced in May of 2007 to the present.

Or you can contact the artist from this page http://www.wg3d.com/page2.html and ask him to fix the links.

Dollygirl,

Thank you so much for this links, including spinning wheel, and explaining how you use wayback machine.  I even got a few more goodies but have noticed the zips not corresponding with the image, as long as I have the correct name zip.  Your help is much appreciated. grin

Will this work? You will need to scroll down about half way to the section on 3D models.

I also noticed that there is a real dinosaur head scan on this page. I believe someone was looking for one several months ago. Know it is to late now but maybe for next time.

I haven’t had much luck finding a laurel wreath - the kind a Roman Emperor might wear, or a little boy dressed as Nero for Halloween.  :D

It would be great if it is, or could be, colored metallic gold.  (Sometimes leaves are made on flat surfaces with trans maps, so you can’t use shaders on that kind of leaf unless you want squares instead of leaves.)  However, natural leaves are okay.

I can’t do postwork on the pic, because it’s for the freebie contest, so it has to be right as it is.

Thanks!

Thank you for this link.  I also have some uses for both the cow and dinosaur head sculls and for the lovely statues and other historical pieces! grin
