Hi!  I get this message when DS 4 is finished loaded: Duplicate formulas found in files.  Make sure that the content is properly installed.  See the log file for more details.  I have no idea how to read the log file.  I’ll hold off on putting the log up here until someone says to put it up.  But help?  It’s not really bothering anything (as far as I know) its just really annoying.

Just look for the parts that say Warning and post that portion of the log.

Duplicate Formulas issue was resolved quite awhile back.  It generally has to do with the Evolution Head/Body Morphs for Genesis.  You need to uninstall the current version, then reset your download and install the latest version.

There were a few other products that did this as well, I’ll see if I can find the list.

I got this message myself in 4.5 RC 2.

The log goes from old at the top to the most recent at the bottom.

You should see something like this Duplicate id “Locket” found in file “/data/Fisty/Jeweled Finery/1-Locket/Locket.dsf” in the log.

Yeah it doesn’t seem to affect anything just as you say a little annoying.

Please note you must UNINSTALL these products before simply installing the latest version.  If you don’t uninstall them then the problem will not go away.

I did uninstall before reinstalling them. Thanks.  I’ll just uninstall everything and start over from scratch, or at least give it a try.

Hmm, if the uninstall didn’t work, then you can remove the affected directories by hand.

They are (per your log file above):
/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis/Base/Morphs/DAZ 3D/Victoria 4/
/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis/Base/Morphs/DAZ 3D/Michael 4/

Then reinstall the latest version of each (should be version v1.2 or higher).

First, note that Duplicate Formulas is not the same as Duplicate IDs - the IDs are a new issue with DS4.5, not relevant here.

Second - ignore me, I wasn’t reading carefully enough

LOL I read it as Duplicate ID and not formulas so my bad. I have a ID issue not a formula one

The Duplicate ID issue also needs content updating, but I do have a script to do the job if you don’t want a slew of downloads just now (most of the content from DAZ that throws the error has been fixed already).

I too am having the same problem as SenaRe with duplicate files. However, my problem came about after an upgrade from 4.0 to 4.5 of DAZ. Why bother with upgrade if I have to always uninstall DAZ then reinstall DAZ, then uninstall, just to reinstall. I have a lot of products and can’t afford to spend hours tracking down dups caused by a reinstall of DAZ. There has to be a better way then this…............
