As I recall, only the early versions of the Genesis genitals had morphs. They removed them later on and they never returned. The version I got with the Victoria 5 Pro bundle has no morphs at all. Best guess is that it's an attempt to be more family friendly.

I'm confused as to their decision on that to be honest. It's not something I'd get any use out of, but it just seems backwards to remove functionality from a product with no apparent reason. Perhaps there were some serious issues with it, or perhaps they changed the mesh slightly, making the older morphs incompatible and simply didn't bother creating new ones.

Their decisions on anatomical correctness might not affect me directly, but sometimes it does boggle the mind.

I would be happy if they increased the mesh density for the genital attachment or that area of the original mesh... like they did for the face and under breast of G2F. Then 3rd party could work with that to build morph sets for us.

I am still baffled as to why Genesis doesn't have the necessary geometry to create genitals right on the mesh itself like the MakeHuman figure does. It's made even more confusing by the fact that this is not included in Genesis 2 which the whole point of (or so we were told) was to make more anatomically accurate gender figures.

Umm... because the DAZ3D focus is not Rending Eroctica? It is left to third party creators and sites for that reason. Go to Rendoctica for your none DAZ3D type needs. Or other sites, my third party item works just fine for me with Genesis and G2F after I apply the texture from my figure.
DAZ3D is a PG Rated site and will not sell those type items. This is a U.S.A. Business and abides by US laws in that respect.

Those are the reasons, and they have been stated before. Artistic Nudity does now require more than is sold here.

It's not the people, it's the PEOPLE voted in charge that wrote and enforce the Laws. Most of the people could not care less about it.

Hey! Don't lump us all in there. =/

The human body can be beautiful without being erotic. For example, if there's someone out there watching tribal women breast feed while they're having some solo time, they have some serious issues.

I didn't even know there was a law in the United States making naked 3D models illegal. And people keep saying Japan is weird.

I think it's because Genesis can be turned into a child.

Just remember that the puritans were forced out of England and settled in the US. :cheese:

Puritanism: The irrational fear that someone, somewhere, somehow, is having fun.

Lady Whiteadder: Chairs! You have chairs in your House?

    Blackadder: Yes, well...

    [she slaps him twice]

Lady Whiteadder: Wicked Child! Chairs are the work of Belezabub! At our house Nathaneal sits on a spike!

    Blackadder: And yourself?

Lady Whiteadder: I sit on Nathaneal! Two spikes would be an extravagance.

But all joking aside this sort of issue is why I see MakeHuman eventually becoming the gold standard of human figures since the project's goal is to create as realistic a human unimesh as possible, where as the Daz figures seem to be focused on creating a stylized "supermodel" female form above all else. As the Make Human project gains more resources to improve the mesh it'll probably end up surpassing Genesis some day. Can't wait for the Alpha 8 release. I just hope they create more exporting options. A triax weighted, Genesis compatible rig would be awesome!

Oh yes DAZ is so family oriented http://www.daz3d.com/new-releases/grecian-goddess-outfit
In my opinion half the female clothes they sell are skankware.
It's like sex with a virgin, commit or put your clothes back on.

Yeah, I look at that and I think what's the point. The only place a real woman could wear an outfit like that is in a strip club since every time she moved we'd see all the goodies anyway.

3d mesh... is not a child. Its may represent one by the artist - but leagally and otherwise Genesis is not a child more than a lump of clay is. That reasoning should not apply as it sets restrictive presidence. Otherwise paper could be considered pornography even before its published by Playpen magazine.

There is NOT a law in the United Staes making naked 3D models illegal.

There ARE laws against child pornography, yes; that's why the Genesis genitalia figures can't be used with the basic child figure (and I think Young Teens as well).

Apart from anything else, credit card processors can be very strict about what they regard as sexually explicit items. As soon as you do something that they consider sexually explicit, a different set of rules comes into play, and they tend to charge merchants much much MUCH more to use their services. Some will flatly refuse to allow such vendors to use their services, because adult services have very high rejection/refusal of charges numbers. Renderotica operates under very different credit card processor rules than DAZ or Renderosity or RDNA.

Beyond that, I point out that figures not coming with genital mesh and morphs incorporated isn't unique to DAZ. The Poser G2 figures don't have them incorporated into the figure, Dawn will not have genitals as part of her figure. It's just not that unusual.

I think the credit card issuers policy and their interpretation of adult products and services is the main risk here because its probably impossible to obtain a reasonable perspective.

On a technical side, I would think it would be rather easy to inhibit morph parameters based on another values. In other words content vendors could set genesis limits so that youth morphs can not be enabled when genitalia morphs are enabled. Another "fix" would be to eliminate human readable UV's so that texture maps can not be interpreted without installation to a mesh. Then no fixed image of privates on product component images at all would be possible - without significantly reducing capability. Maybe it would even improve UV seams. Then there is PTEX that further obfuscates the topic.

What someone does in his home to hack things to their liking is there business. (and NSA's right?)

But whatever - its not my biggie concern...

    Hello
Just to try to get back on the product
What i can do with it ?
I need to show a naked woman, she of course has pubes fur, i must buy the texture from another site ?

I' don't want to create any sex scenes, but simply put femele pubes i can accept to skip male parts even if it's insane, but at least i want to have the possibility to put pubic hair, on a female.

Back to my questions do i need to buy something to have this ?
May i ununistall the product because it's usless ?

    Thanks so much
    Kind Regards
    Jack

I would ask around and see which Textures people prefer. Many have that on them but that is rarely shown on the store Promo images of the texture sets.

EDIT: I agree the US nudity laws are extreme. But as I live here I must abide by them, and as is Stated above, a matter of concern when it comes to digital commerce.

The 'bits' only arrive with the relevant Pro bundle. To be brutally honest, don't waste time or money as they add absolutely nothing that morphs for the base figure do not provide.

Um..ok. But what do you mean about morphs? You can morph the base Genesis figure to create genitals?

I am not sure from which product they came but there are a few morphs you can get which provide a 'genital crease' which does, pretty much, exactly what the geo-grafted genitals do for Genesis Female and G2F. Both take the texture maps(s) that apply to the base figure hip material zone so there is, now, just a single texture.
Effectively, yes you can morph the base figure to give what the ge-graft prop supplies. Anything more than that you'd need a third-party add-on (which does need the geo-graft prop).

Ok, so just the genital crease (not the 'bits' inside)

sorry, but what does geo-graft mean?

It's a way of getting a something 'spliced' into the target figure - they then are deemed to be a part of the figure. They are a bit like a smart-prop/figure, but they go further in that that 'cut out' a section of the target figure mesh and 'plonk in' themselves as a replacement.

Nice way to generalize. You know there are 50 states, a large population, with very diverse backgrounds, and local standards, don't you?

Here are several point I would to discuss according to this thread topic.

    1. Why DAZ remove the G2F genitalia morph, while the G2M genitalia morph still there ? That is the only question I want to know the answer of.
I just never understand the decision made by DAZ by not including the G2F genitalia morph.

    2. People should be aware of Glamour and Erotic art is not considered pornography, please don't generalize all nude art being porn, that is not nice at all.

    3. Female genitalia by all mean is not a static layered image straped to their hips, I have hard time rendering pose that need genitalia adjusment just because there is no morph for it. I have no problem with G2M whatsoever because the morph still there.

    4. There is no morph for the G2F genitalia, so guess what, should I always cover or black out every pixel of the genitalia for certain nude pose, this is not nice at all in term of realism and G2F being the most leading and high end figure product of DAZ.

Below is the description of G2F morph bundle which state that "us, costumer, should be able to sculpt the G2F figure to be more specific and complete". Without the genitalia morph I could say it isn't "complete".
