I think they were planning to announce the winners simultaneously with Daz announcing all site errors were now fixed!

Any moment now ...

lol!!

I’m drafting up the winners announcement.  Still trying to figure out how to make links that take you right to the post rather than to the thread as a whole, so that winners and honorable mentions can be viewed via the links.  There is a way to do that, but these forums and how they work are new to me.

Yes, “soon” is a good way to put it.  Some of the winners know who they are due to being contacted for prizes.  We’re getting used to these new forums and how they work as well as how to best handle the awarding of prizes.

That number at the upper right corner of the post. For example, mine’s #79.

Can you figure out how to make it open a new tab, or new window, as well?  I can’t see a way to do that, and it’s annoying as hell when I click on a link and it goes in the same tab!

Click on mouse wheel or right-click -> open in new tab.

Well, I know that...I meant automatically, like it should, like every other website I go to does!  One gets used to such things and then forgets when it doesn’t work anymore.

Yeah, I’m not sure how to do that, Dana.  Maybe we need a Lemonade Stand Contest for the forums next time.  >_>

One could always use the HTML target=“_blank” attribute.

For the RRRR we simply had to snatch all the images, then Sedor put a number on everyone and uploaded them in new posts. But as we could only have 5 images per post, I had to insert posts between (commercial breaks), so a Forum lemonade is quite reasonable wink

Now you’re expecting regular users here to know how to use that, where to put it?  I’m sure it must be a simple setting in the forum software.  They really need to stop pushing this stuff off on the users.  There’s already someone who did up a script that works under GreaseMonkey in Firefox for the wishlist to show only on sale items.  And there’s someone else who actually developed an application for our order history, that allows searching and resetting easily.  Is that the plan here?  Let the users provide workarounds for everything that doesn’t work right?  No offense meant to you, but please, Kendall, don’t encourage them!

Like this. It is standard HTML, and apparently the forum accepts it. It is not a kludge, it is HTML behaving as it is supposed to behave. Forum links that automatically have defined “target” in them are more of a kludge than this (even if those fall under standard CSS as well—it is just that such behavior is much later invention than standard linkage the forum is doing).

In the cases where actual titles weren’t provided, I just kinda invented titles.  >_>
I am awaiting a couple more PA’s choices for honorable mentions, so more may be added to this list, if they’re not the same choices as other PAs.

I’ll try to make this post prettier after I’ve figured out a few more things.  >_>

Like I said, the average user is not going to know this.  I am aware of the syntax but I am a developer.  My only point is that DAZ3D should be fixing DAZ3D’s problems, not you, not me.
