Hi to all,

I’m using Carrara to setup scenes and Octane to render them.
This workflow works very well for still images but is a pain for animation.

So, I was wondering if there was a way to easily export all the OBJs of an animation in one operation (plugin or sofware option I’ve missed despite reading the documentation and trying anything I could think of) ?

not familiar with octane at all but if it handles FBX that is the format to use for seperate objects with animation.

I’m afraid not, only OBJ :-(

But there is an idea behind that.

Maybe I could use a third party software that could export a sequence of OBJs from a FBX.
I’ll try first with FBX convertor, one never knows…

Nope. It’s either OBJ or OBJ, through I think it could be also OBJ.

There is also an export plugin for DAZ4D, but it brings other problems in the workflow.
I must say I was hoping for an obscure plugin I haven’t found, but I’m afraid I will have to forget that track :-(.

As I realise some of you may not know Octane (and maybe to show off a little ), I’ve attached some of my renders, so that you may have a hint of what is possible using it for final rendering(for a 99€ render engine).

It could be even better still, I’m just learning as I go.
