1. Export from 3dsMax to create obj. Receive obj (but not bacon)
2. Import via obj into Poser.
3. Save as Prop.
4. pp2 file created. all obj information is inserted into pp2 file. Don’t want that, so I need to use the obj2pp2 script.
I have the obj2pp2 script (the new location is at: http://jwas3d.com Finding it in the forums could end up being an exercise in frustration.)
Where does this script go in DS3? I stopped using it after throwing a mouse at the monitor and breaking it in frustration.
OBJ2PP2 is not for stripping out the OBJ Data from a PP2. Its for creating a PP2 from a model in DS without ever having to go through Poser.
I have just uploaded the last version of the OBJ2PP2 exporter here - http://www.mediafire.com/?3m5gbz5f8bjjgjm
I recommend it over the older versions cause the older versions will rename your surfaces and thats rather anoying.
The OBJ2PP2 can go in any folder in your Content folder tree. I tossed my copy in the Scripts folder.
Your welcome Shadowhawk. Though I cannot take credit for the textures or modeling for that matter!
Here’s the next page in the story. If you want to catch up on it you’ll have to go to my blog. And since I CAN’T list the link here, you’d need to email or PM me. Please comment…
The updated Enterprise Refit is available. It will no longer crash DS4 when attempting to render. Several people includging myself tested it in Poser 8 and PP2012 and got mixed results. So poser users may or may not see issues with the mesh. All surface issues should be resolved (meaning it no longer glows like a lightsaber when you load it up)
Went grayscale to try capturing the feel of a promotional snapshot.
Though in retrospect, I wonder if they would have gone to theespense of sculpting Dilithium crystal props. Probably not. More likely, if they knew of props remaing from some other production, they would “borrow” them.

Pretty good, Bill!
They look a bit like the crystal entities from P3X-562—So….I wonder if Kirk gets “replaced” in this episode….
Hi all. Long time no read! As I’m no longer online, I’ll pop in, from time to time, when I get the chance.
For those who are interested, though it’s not Trek, Eagle One and the MetaProbe are both released
in Poser and D/S formats. Visit my DeviantArt page if you’re interested. ^_-
I’ll pop in again the next time I visit my sister. <waves>
