you work looks great but if i can offer a word of constructive criticism your word balloons could use some adjustments.

This is for users of Illustrator, but the concepts of space between the balloon, the lettering, where to put the stems is all the same.

Constructive criticism is always welcome, thanks.
The balloons don’t always work out as I’d like, I must admit. At he moment I use PowerPoint to trim the pictures and add the dialogue, because it’s quick and easy.
Thanks for the link. In the strip I’m doing at the moment, I’ll give a bit more time to the balloons, although PowerPoint isn’t ideally suited to the purpose.
