My Daz studio will not open, after a while I uninstalled it then reinstalled it but I am getting the same error msg which states;

error running C:\ programme files\DAZ3D\DAZstudio 4/ dzcoreuhl.exe-dvs64;child killed; unknown signal”

The comment on ‘child killed’ seems strange, is this a virus?

I have a full Norton and have run a number of scans and everything seems alright.

No it’s not a viurus, it can sometimes be triggered by an AV conflict but more often it means there is a missing dll in your visualC++

Try this

Uninstall DS4.
Reboot.
Install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 package from here -> http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=13523
Reboot.
Reinstall DS4.
