ok… all of the sudden, hex crashes when i select a line and click the “chamfer”  tool…  and what really has me going is that I used it earlier on this same model!  any ideas about what i could have done to break it so that chamfer no longer works??

Look for twisted N-gons - they cause serious issues:)

Snap!  Must be that time of the year.  Mine ground to a halt and then crashed, could not get it to model, it flatly refused.  In the end I reset ye old preference file back to default altered that to my tastes and away it went.  All ok now.

She sure is,  another thing she doesn’t seem to like either is saving a file while an object is selected especially the control in DG.  She keeps on nagging about an internal fault and throws a strop.  Then after one has deselected everything, saves.  Condescending *itch.
