I like the mine idea a lot, too, and some of the others in this thread.

A department store - Never Knowingly Undersold?

Never Free - Jail or prison (this really could work either as a small local jail or even a full-sized penitentiary)
Never Within Reach - A mansion or country club where only the upper crust are welcome.

Other thoughts could be an old bookstore or maybe a library (I think somebody else mentioned that kind of crosses over with Lenore’s stuff).
