Digital Art Zone

I’m brand new to Daz 3D and when i start up the application i can’t get the genesis figure to load up….i get a box man and cant load any thing to it. what do i do to get started???

Did you install the Genesis Starter Essentials?

I have yes.

You have the display set to bounding box, try “texture shaded”

Got that working now, Thanks….......but am rendering in silhouette,  Why would that be??

I’ve not personally come across that problem so I might be talking rubbish, but maybe you have set a light up behind Genesis pointing towards the camera?

Try putting one in front of Genesis, slightly above, and see how that renders.  Preferably a distance light.

Not saying it’s definitely that, but it’s worth a try.
