I just rebuilt my computer and am attempting to reinstall my software.
I have copied my old DAZ 3 directory to my new hard drive, but am unable to install it as an active program.  When I tell DAZ 4.5 to migrate my old database, I get this message:

There was an error migrating the content database.  See the log file for details.

Is there a way to reinstall DAZ 3 instead of 4.5?
Is there a way to reorganize the database in 4.5?  It doesn’t seem to want to drag and drop directories the way the old system did, and there are a lot of empty folders just cluttering things up.

Did you back up the database? it was in the Application data folder, in the \Daz 3D\Studio 3\Content file. If not then you won’t be able to get the database back.

If you bought your copy of DS3 it will be in your order history and can be reset - if not, and if you don’t have a backed up copy of the installer, then no you can’t reinstall it.

Unfortunately the ability to drag and drop from content folders to categories is not present in DS4 - you aren’t the first person to lament its loss.
